Create a site
A site is a single point of entry to a sur eillance solution, for example all cameras in a store. You can keep track of se eral sites
through a single MyAxis account.

saed.Forthispurpose,adigitalsignaturewillbeincludedinthelewhenyousaearecording.Youcanaddapasswordtothe
digitalsignatureforincreasedsecurity.
Protectyourdigitalsignaturewithapassword:
1.InAXISCompanion,goto>Customize.
2.UnderRecordings,selectShowdigitalsignatureoptionswhensavingrecordings.
Whensaingarecordingnow,theDigitalsignaturewindowwillappear,allowingyoutochooseapasswordforthe
signature.
Validatearecording:
1.OpenthesaedrecordingwithAXISFilePlayer.
2.ClickToolsandselectVerifydigitalsignature.
3.Enterpassword,ifapasswordwasappliedtothesignature,andclickOK.
Awindowappearstoinformwhetherornottherecordingisalid.

4.Tondtheincident,clickonthethumbnailstostep30,15,5or1framesbackward(toppanel)orforward(bottom
panel).Youcanalsomoetheslider.
5.Whensatised,clicktotakeasnapshot.
-Formostcamerasthesnapshotwillcontaintheentirecameraimage,regardlessofthezoomleel.Forcameras
withadewarpedimage,thesnapshotwillbethezoomed-inimage.

-Whenplayingrecordings,onlythoserecordedwithAxisMobileStreamingenabledcantogglebetweenHigh
andLow.

Recordingonlywhenmotionisdetectedsaesconsiderablyondiskspaceandbandwidth,comparedtocontinuousrecording.
Ifthemotiondetectionistriggeredtoooften,youcanadjustthesettingstoignorepartsoftheieworcertaintypesofeents.
1.InAXISCompanion,goto >Cameras.
2.MakesurethecameraisenabledintheMotiondetectioncolumn.
3.ClickforacameraandselectMotionrecording....
4.IntheMotionrecordingdialog,clickSettings....
5.Choosewhatpartofthecameraiewtoincludeinthemotiondetection:
-Editthedarkareatobeincludedformotiondetection.
-Todrawanareathatwillbeexcludedfrommotiondetection,selectExcludeareaandeditthelightarea.
Note
Forsomecameramodelsyoucanonlydrawsquares,andforothersyoucandrawmorecomplexpolygons.
6.ExpandAdvancedtoadjustthesettingsofthelters.
-Smallobjectslter—Ignoreobjectsthataresmall,suchasanimals.
-Swayingobjectslter—Ignoreobjectsthatonlymoewithinashortdistance,suchastreesoragsthat
moewhenitiswindy.

receienotications.Ifyouwanttodeactiatethenoticationslateron,gotothesettingsofyourmobiledeice,select
theAXISCompanion4app,anddisablethenotications.

3.Pressandholdtheresetbutton.Pressandreleasethecontrolbuttontostarttherecorder.Releasetheresetbuttonafter
15-30secondswhentheLEDindicatorashesamber.
4.Slowlyputtherecorderbackinitsplace.
