TheMotionJPEGstreamusesconsiderableamountsofbandwidth,butprovidesexcellentimagequalitandaccesstoeverimage
containedinthestream.

JPEGformatandbasmuchas50%comparedtotheMPEG-4standard.Thismeansthatlessnetworkbandwidthandstoragespace
arerequiredforavideole.Orseenanotherwa,highervideoqualitcanbeachievedforagivenbitrate.

TheImagetabcontainscamerasettingsthataffectallvideostreamsfromtheproduct.Ifouchangesomethinginthistab,it
immediatelaffectsallvideostreamsandrecordings.
TheStreamtabcontainssettingsforvideostreams.Yougetthesesettingsifourequestavideostreamfromtheproductanddon’t
specifforexampleresolution,orframerate.WhenouchangethesettingsintheStreamtab,itdoesn’taffectongoingstreams,but
itwilltakeeffectwhenoustartanewstream.
TheStreamprolessettingsoverridethesettingsfromtheStreamtab.Ifourequestastreamwithaspecicstreamprole,the
streamcontainsthesettingsofthatprole.Ifourequestastreamwithoutspecifingastreamprole,orrequestastreamprole
thatdoesn'texistintheproduct,thestreamcontainsthesettingsfromtheStreamtab.

Important
Resettofactordefaultshouldbeusedwithcaution.Aresettofactordefaultresetsallsettings,includingtheIPaddress,to
thefactordefaultvalues.
Toresettheproducttothefactordefaultsettings:
1.Disconnectpowerfromtheproduct.
2.Pressandholdthecontrolbuttonwhilereconnectingpower.See.
3.Keepthecontrolbuttonpressedfor15–30secondsuntilthestatusLEDindicatorashesamber.
4.Releasethecontrolbutton.TheprocessiscompletewhenthestatusLEDindicatorturnsgreen.Theproducthasbeenreset
tothefactordefaultsettings.IfnoDHCPserverisavailableonthenetwork,thedefaultIPaddressis192.168.0.90.

Whensettingupoursstem,itisimportanttoconsiderhowvarioussettingsandsituationsaffecttheperformance.Somefactors
affecttheamountofbandwidth(thebitrate)required,otherscanaffecttheframerate,andsomeaffectboth.Iftheloadonthe
CPUreachesitsmaximum,thisalsoaffectstheframerate.
