Whensettingtheinitialpassword,thepasswordissentincleartetoverthenetwork.Ifthereisariskofnetworksnifng,

Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforthedataandservices.Ais’productsdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasproducts
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations,buttoprotectyourdatadothefollowing:
•Don’tusethedefaultpasswordthatcomeswiththeproducts.
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablyusingapasswordgenerator.
•Don’teposethepassword.
•Changepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.

•Theshutterspeedshouldbeasslowaspossible,whichmeansyoushouldsetmashuttertothehighestpossiblevalue.
•Reducesharpnessintheimage.
•Tryloweringthemagainvalue.
Howtoselectexposuremode
Thereareseveraleposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequalityfor
specicsurveillancescenes.IntheImagetab,selectbetweenthefollowingoptions:
•Formostusecases,selectAutomaticeposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallighting,foreampleuorescentlighting,selectFlicker-free.
Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallightandbrightlight,foreampleoutdoorswithuorescentlightingatnightand
sunduringdaytime,selectFlicker-reduced.
Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.
•Tolockthecurrenteposuresettings,selectHoldcurrent.
Howtomaximizedetailsinanimage
Important
Ifyoumaimizedetailsinanimage,bitrateincreasesandmightleadtoreducedframerate.
•Makesuretoselectcapturemodethathasthehighestresolution.
•Setcompressionaslowaspossible.
•SelectMJPEGstreaming.
•TurnofftheZipstreamfunctionality.

Howtoenhancelicenseplaterecognition
Tobetterrecognizethelicenseplateofacarpassingbythecamera,youcanapplyandadjustanumberofthings.
Oneoptionistousethepielcounterinyourcameratosettheoptimalpielresolution:
1.Drawarectangleonthecamera’sliveviewaroundtheareaofinterest,e.g.wherethelicenseplatesofpassingcarsare
epectedtoappear.Thecamerathenshowsthenumberofpielsrepresentedbythesidesoftherectangle.
2.Adjustandmovearoundtheselectedareaasneededusingdraganddrop.

Youcanuseanobjectofaknownsizeintheviewasareferencetodecidehowmuchresolutionisneededforrecognition.
Inaddition,youcantrytoadjustthefollowingtooptimizelicenseplaterecognition:

Aboutviewarea
Whenyousetupaviewarea,werecommendyoutosetthevideostreamresolutiontothesamesizeasorsmallerthantheviewarea
size.Ifyousetthevideostreamresolutionlargerthantheviewareasizeitimpliesdigitallyscaledupvideoaftersensorcapture,
whichrequiresmorebandwidthwithoutaddingimageinformation.
