TopreventnetworkeavesdroppingtherootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnectionwhichrequiresanHTTPS
certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The
HTTPScerticateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.SeeHTTPonpage40.
Thedefaultadministratorusernamerootispermanentandcannotbedeleted.Ifthepasswordforrootislosttheproductmustbe

TosetthepasswordviaastandardHTTPconnectionenteritdirectlyinthedialog.

PowerlinefrequencyissetthersttimetheAxisproductisaccessedandcanonlybechangedfromPlainCong(seepage50)
orbyresettingtheproducttofactorydefault.
Selectthepowerlinefrequency(50Hzor60Hz)usedatthelocationoftheAxisproduct.Selectingthewrongfrequencymaycause
imageickeriftheproductisusedinuorescentlightenvironments.
Whenusing50Hzthemaximumframerateislimitedto25fps.

Powerlinefrequencyvariesdependingongeographicregion.TheAmericasusuallyuse60Hzwhereasmostotherpartsof
theworlduse50Hz.Localvariationscouldapply.Alwayscheckwiththelocalauthorities.
