AXISBodyWornAssistantisanapplicationforobiledevicesthatconnectsdirectlytothebodyworncaeraand,forinstance,
letsyouviewrecordedvideo.
AnoptionalRFIDreadercanbeconnectedtothesystecontroller.Itletsthecaerauserself-assignanyavailablebodyworn
caera,usingtheirself-assigntag.
Whenyouplacethecaerainthedockingstation,thedockingstationchargesthecaera’sbattery,andthecaeraconnectstothe
syste.Thesystecontrollerthensealesslytransfersalldatafrothecaeratothecontentdestinationofyourchoice.The
systecontrolleralsokeepsthecaerasup-to-datewiththelatestrwareandsettings,andonitorsthehealthoftheAxis
bodywornsolution.
Thesysteissupportedbydifferenttypesofcontentdestinationssuchasevidenceanageentsystes(EMS),videoanageent
systes(VMS),andediaservers.YoucanusetheBodyWornIntegrationAPItointegratewithanythirdpartyVMSorEMS.Go

caeraanywhereduringaworkshift.Thesysteensuresallrecordingsaretransferredsecurelywhenswitchingbetweendifferent
systecontrollersevenbeforeanofoadiscoplete.Thisprovidesiprovedexibilitytothecaerauserto,forexaple,respond
toanalarandbringthecaeraatanytieduringofoad,andthencopletetheofoadatanysystelocation.
Systembackupandrestore-Thesystebackupsavesallyourcongurations.Itletsyourestorethebodywornsysteinthe
unlikelyeventthatthesystecontroller,onwhichthesystewasinitiallycreatedon,alfunctions.Thebackupisupdatedevery24

Tosetupself-assigncaeraassignent,youneedtopairthebodywornuserwithaself-assigntag:
1.ConnecttheRFIDreadertothesystecontroller.WaitfortheLEDonthereadertolightupgreen,whichtakesabout15
seconds.Thereadernowhasthecorrectrwareandisreadyforuse.
2.DisconnecttheRFIDreaderfrothesystecontroller.
3.ConnectthesameRFIDreadertothecoputerthatyouuseforaccessingAXISBodyWornManager.
4.InAXISBodyWornManager,gotoUsers.
5.Selecttheuserthatyouwanttopairtheself-assigntagwith.
6.Clicktopairnewequipent.
7.ClickPair(Self-assigntag).
8.Taptheself-assigntagontheRFIDreadertoregisterit.Keeptappinguntilalldotsturnblue.
9.DisconnecttheRFIDreaderfrothecoputer.
10.ConnectthesameRFIDreadertothesystecontroller.
Nowthecaerausercanusethetagtoself-assignabodyworncaera.

ThewirelessconnectivitystatusLEDlightsupredifthepairingfailed.
10.Disconnectpowerfrotheholstersensor.
11.Installtheholstersensorandunholstertoakesurethepairingwassuccessful.TherecordingLEDonthecaera
shouldlightupred.
12.Dockthecaera.
Aftercopletingthepairing,checkthepairingstatusfortheholstersensorunderPairedequipment.Greenstatusshowsthatthe
pairingisregisteredinthebodywornsyste.
Toconnectthecaeratoaholstersensorinthedailyuse,undockthecaeraandakesurethatitisintheholstersensor’srange
within10inutesafterundocking.Undernoralcircustancestherangeis5–10(16–33ft.).
Recordlocationdata
YoucanturnonLocationdatatorecordthegeographicalpositionofthecaera.IfthecaerahasGPSsignal,itsavesitsposition
whenandwherearecordingisstartedandstopped.Thiseansthatthecaeracansaveuptotwopositionsforeachrecording.This
locationdataistransferredtothecontentdestinationandisusefulwhenanagingrecordingsandbuildingcases.
