Introduction
We are pleased you have decided to purchase this axxent high
power amplifier. Please read the following manual carefully in
order to obtain best results.
Important features
The axxent amplifier models AX2150S, AX2300i and AX2500i
are intended for loudspeakers with impedances of 4 ohms or
higher. We do not recommend impedances of less then 4 ohms.
Model AX2150S oers an output power of 2 x 150 Wrms at 4
ohms. In addition this amplifier may be operated in bridge
modus, resulting in an output power of 1 x 300 Wrms at 8 ohms.
The use of a switch mode power supply results in light weight
(facilitating transportation) and keeps the amp cool.
Model AX2300i generates 2 x 300 Wrms at 4 ohms, while model
AX2500i delivers 2 x 500 Wrms at 4 ohms. Both models are
equipped with a low stray toroidal transformer in the power
supply circuitry.
On the following pages please find important operational hints
like the controls and knobs on the front- and the
connectors on the rear side of the amplifier.

Controls on the front side
Knobs: The two „VOLUME“ knobs are used for setting the output
level. For safety reasons in fixed installations the potentiometer
knobs on the front of the unit are detachable and may be replaced
with the included blind covers.
LED indicators: Several LEDs indicate the operational condition:
ON is lit when the unit is ready. In case this LED is not lit after
switching on the amplifier, you either lack mains or the fuse is
faulty. In the latter case replace the fuse. If this does not help
either, please contact your dealer or ship directly to the manu-
facturer axxent e.K. Only qualified personnel may open the case
of the amplifier.
SIGNAL these green LEDs confirm the presence of an audio sig-
nal in a safe level range.
BRIDGE (AX2150S) yellow LED confirms bridge mode operation.
PEAK this red LED’s is lit at the onset of the limiter function,
which avoids excessive signal peaks. The nominal input sensitivity
of the amplifier is 675 mV. Higher input levels may be attenuated
with the „VOLUME“ potentiometers on the front.
PROTECT with red LEDs indicates the onset of a protection cir-
cuit. In such cases the amplifier is muted. The reason for this
may be any kind of overload. The period of time the amplifier is
muted normally is very short (≤10 seconds). Thereafter the am-
plifier is ready for use again. In case due to some reason the am-
plifier is overheated, this mute period may take longer until the
unit has cooled down again.
On the front side of the unit we have kept the number of controls
to a bare minimum in order to prevent possible operator errors.
For the same reason the mains on/o switch is located on the
rear side.

Controls and connectors on the rear side
When looking at the rear of the models AX2300i and AX2500i you
immediately may note the vertical slits. Behind those the heat sinks
are located which must be kept free at any time in order to let the
cooling air stream front to rear flow without restrictions. On the
model AX2150S you will note a grid covering the cooling fan. This
grid also must be kept free any time to let the air stream flow freely
and unhindered. With all three models the fan rotation is kept to a
minimum to always ensure very low noise in operational mode, es-
pecially when used in calm surroundings.
The mains switch on the models AX2300i and AX2500i is located
centrally and on the left side on model AX2150S. Close by you will
find the IEC-mains plug with the fuse holder. Model AX2150S uses a
4 A fuse, while in the model AX2300i is equipped with a 6,3 A and
the model AX2500i with a 10 A fuse. All fuses are 5 x 20 mm long,
with slow blow characteristic. When the on/o LED indicator is not
lit, a faulty fuse may be the reason. In this case please have the fuse
changed by qualified personnel. In case the fuse is blown again,
please contact your dealer, a qualified service workshop or ship the
unit to the manufacturer axxent e.K.
Next to the mains plug and switch (models AX2300i & AX2500i)
you will find the insulated output contacts. On model AX2150S you
will see the red/black touch proof binding posts. The polarity of the
posts is marked +and –. In addition with model AX2150S you will
find the marks for mono bridge mode operation: bridge output +is
the red pole for output 1 and –the black pole for output 2. Please
note that on all loudspeaker outputs a high and dangerous voltage
may be present – that‘s why you will see the warning sign for haz-
ardous shocks.

Input connectors
All three models use balanced 3pin XLR input connectors.
In addition parallel outputs (SEND) are provided for looping
through the input signal to additional amplifiers. The polarity
is in line with international standards: Pin 1 is ground/shield,
Pin 2 is HOT (or plus), PIN3 is COLD, (or minus).
Special features on model AX2150S
As mentioned before, this models may also be used in mono
bridge mode in order to gain double the power (at twice the
impedance): 2 x 300 W at 8 ohms. Before arranging for
bridge mode you must deconnect the unit from mains. Then
press the „BRIDGE“ switch. The input signal is connected to
„INPUT 1“. Output is on OUTPUT 1 the red post for plus and
on OUTPUT 2 the black post for minus. The level is controlled
on potentiometer for channel 1.
A further special on model AX2150S is a switch for a high
pass filter in order to reduce or suppress low frequency inter-
ference signals like rumble and subsonic components which
might be hazardous to the loudspeakers. The cut o frequen-
cy of this „rumble filter“ is 35 Hz. The switch is labelled SUBS
FILTER.

A 9 pin DIP switch allows the setting of the various
configurations of the amplifier:
