All in this Users manual contained technical information and
technological information also any possible drawings given by us and
further technical descriptions stay owned by Bakker Hydraulic
Products BV and are not allowed without written permission to be
used (other than necessary for using the installation), copied,
duplicated, passed, given or brought to the notice of other people.
The list with spare parts may only be used by maintenance personal
of the installation and those who are taking care of ordering the spare
parts.
Bakker Hydraulic Products BV is not liable for any consequential
damage which could occur when there is a breakdown of the pallet
hook (for instance damage to cargo or damage because work has
stopped).

1. BASIC INFORMATION
1.1 Introduction
This manual gives information about the handling, maintenance and
working of the pallet hook in his original size.
There cannot be any claims about the construction or delivery of the
pallet hook regarding this manual.
Bakker Hydraulic Products BV has the exclusive copyright of this
manual. Copies can be ordered at Bakker Hydraulic Products BV
against the normal price.
1.2 ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBERS FOR SUPPORT
When there are any complaints about the working system of the
pallet hook or maintenance you always have to get in contact with
your local dealer.
1.3 BASIC INFORMATION
All in this manual published data is based on the most relevant
information.
They are given under reservation of modification afterwards.
We preserve the right to change the construction at any given time,
without the obligation to change deliveries earlier made.
This manual gives you useful and important information for using
your installation. It also contains important information about the
pallet hook during the preparation for use and when using the
installation, to prevent injuries and any serious damages. This is to
guarantee a safe and a trouble-free function from your installation.

And so like all other installations the pallet hook needs periodical
maintenance. This manual provides you with the necessary
information containing periodical maintenance. The parts list which is
enclosed will provide you with necessary information about which
parts you can eventually replace.
If there are any questions or you wish further explanation containing
specific subjects regarding your pallet hook, don't hesitate to contact
someone of our staff.
Finally we bring to your attention that the warranty is not valid if :
➢service and maintenance are not conducted according
regulations, repairs are not conducted by our staff or conducted
without our foregoing written consent.
➢alterations to the installation are made without our foregoing
written consent.
➢not the original parts or other than the prescribed parts and
lubricants are used.
➢the installation injudicious, careless or not in inconsistent with its
nature or destination is being used.

1.4 DESCRIPTION PALLET HOOK PT
The pallet hook is a mechanical working installation.
The pallet hook is equipped with two forks, which have to be placed
under the cargo you want to lift.
Purpose of the balance plate is to keep the fork in balance with or
without a cargo.
Operating the pallet hook can only be done with the use of external
aids.

2 ORDERS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY
2.1 General safety introduction
During the design of the pallet hook a great deal of care for safety
has put in. These safety measures lead to the construction, choice of
materials and operation of the pallet hook as it is now.
Knowing that the pallet hook will be used mostly in the transport
industry relevant safety measures will have to be made.
2.2 Safety measures when operating the machine
While operating the pallet hook following safety measures have to be
taken in account.
➢Adequate distance!
➢Never walk or stand under the cargo
➢There are no persons allowed in the danger zone

2.3 Safety measures during maintenance or a technical failure
The pallet hook must be on the floor during periodical maintenance,
solving a problem or during repairs. During these activities the pallet
hook must be at all times disconnected from the external machine. At
no time is it allowed to do any of these activities when the pallet hook
or the external machine is operational.
2.4 Dissuaded using
Any activity which does not conform with nature and specifications of
the pallet hook and everything not explicit named in this manual. In
doubt always contact Bakker Hydraulic Products BV.
3 USING THE PALLET HOOK
3.1 Connecting the pallet hook PT
Each pallet hook is standard fitted with a suspension. The
suspension needs to be fitted to the external machine.
3.2 Working and using the pallet hook PT
The pallet hook is mounted with a balance plate to keep the forks
with or without cargo in balance.
➢By loosening the lock bolts the forks can be adjusted in any width
you want. When you are satisfied with the width you must tighten
the lock bolts.
➢The upper arm needs to be pulled up carefully, after the lock pin
is removed.
➢Mount the lock pin and hairspring pin after adjusting the right
height.
Be sure that the forks are fully placed under the cargo!

4 MAINTENANCE, DISTURBANCE AND REPAIR
4.1 General maintenance demands
In general the following demands apply:
➢The pallet hook needs to be kept clean to assure the right
operation.
➢After 20 working hours, check all bolted connections and tighten
if necessary.
4.2 Maintenance schedule
In this chapter you will find a schedule which is your guide for the
necessary maintenance for your pallet hook.
Component Action Frequency
Turning points Check the tolerances once a week
Forks Check for damages and cracks once a week
Balance plate Check for damages once a week
Pins Check for wear once a week
Welds Check for wear end cracks once a month
Further it is necessary that your pallet hook has an annually check-up
every year and the pallet hook has to be examined yearly.
4.3 Malfunction
The eventually appearing malfunctions can only be mechanical.
5 SPARE PARTS
If there are parts that need to be replaced on the pallet hook, at all
times use original parts.

WAREHOUSING AND TRANSPORT
During periods that the pallet hook is not used it must be stored
carefully. Necessary is that the pallet hook is placed in a closed
space which is forbidden for unauthorized people. The pallet hook
needs to be carefully placed so no damages can occur.
The pallet hook needs to be transported properly by the owner/user
or a third party, so the pallet hook can not be damaged.
6 SUPERANNUATED PRESCRIPTIONS
If the pallet hook is damaged irreparable, it needs to be destroyed.
The parts of the pallet hook need to be properly disposed off to the
channels therefore intended.
