1 Intended use
This product is used for the qualitative detection of luteinizing
hormone in human urine. Luteinizing hormone is a type of
gonadotropins, LH for short and also known as interstitial cell-stimu-
lating hormone (LCSH). It is produced by the basophils in the
anterior pituitary, and interacts with mature follicles, leading to
ovulation and producing corpus luteum. It is a key hormone that
accelerates egg release and corpus luteum formation. Ovulation is
only initiated when its secretion is normal and reaches a certain
amount. Average women of childbearing age ovulate once a month.
Ovulation normally happens between 12 to 16 days before next
menstruation. The egg released can only survive for 12 to 30 hours.
Sperms can be alive in genital meatus for 2 to 3 days. There are
only a couple of hours that are crucial for conception. Therefore,
accurate forecasts of ovulation are essential to guide women who
are trying to conceive in choosing the best time for intercourse for
higher conception probability. They are also significant to guide
women who are on birth control to avoid intercourse during
ovulation.

You can choose to use the urine of any of the three periods -
morning, afternoon, or evening.
The test strip in the bag should be used immediately after
unpacking to avoid failure caused by dampness.
Stop drinking water 2 hours before collecting the urine sample to
prevent it from being diluted.
There is a desiccant in the aluminum foil bag. Do not eat it.
Product expired may not be used.
The urine cup can be reused.
Test strips are disposable and cannot be reused.
Please discard the test strips in a non-recyclable bin after use.
This product is for in vitro diagnostic use only.
This product is an auxiliary diagnostic device only. It cannot
determine the actual amount of LH in a urine sample. The test
results cannot serve as a basis for diagnosis.
The test result will be displayed through the LED light. Once the
test is completed, the icon will be displayed for 30 seconds before
it goes out. If you want to check the result again, simply pull out
the test strip, or try to put the lid of Femometer IVY back on and
pull it out again. The result from your latest test will be shown.
Battery disposal must comply with the regulations of the national
government and environmental protection agencies.

2 Dos and Don’ts
Any measurement done by this product is for personal reference
only. It is very dangerous for a patient to conduct self-diagnosis and
self-treatment based on measurements only. Please be sure to
follow your doctor’s instructions.

Step 1: Remove the battery cover. Install the button cell in the
direction as indicated. When you hear a beep, it indicates that the
battery has been inserted successfully. Put the battery cover back
in place.
3 How to use
Step 3: Remove the lid of the main body. When you hear a beep,
it indicates that Femometer IVY is on. Insert the test strip into the
main body in the direction as indicated. (Please make sure that the
test strip is inserted all the way to the bottom and the whole arrow
has disappeared.) When the light starts to flash,
it means the device is ready for the test.
Step 2: Collect your urine in the cup included in the package.
You can choose the urine from any of the three different time of
the day - morning, afternoon and evening.

3 How to use
Step 4: Collect your urine in the cup included in the package. Dip
the top of the test strip into the urine and hold it until you hear a
"beep" (at the same time, the status light starts fast flashing). Then
pull it out and put the test strip lid back on.
Step 5: Place the product on a flat surface. The LED light will be
flashing during the testing. Wait for about 6-10 minutes till you hear
three beeps which indicate that the test is completed. The test
result will be displayed via the LED light. If the light goes out after
some time, pulling out the test strip, or putting back & pulling out
the main body lid again will enable the last test result to show
again.

4 Test result
Indicates a negative result with a low probability of
conception. Please test again after 12 hours. To
ensure the accuracy of the tests, please test every
day.
The measurement result will be displayed for 30 seconds.
Symbol “-”
Indicates a positive result in which the test line is
lighter than the control line. When it detects the rise
of Luteinizing Hormone for the first time, “+” will be
displayed, which indicates a high probability of
conception. Please test every 4-6 hours afterwards.
But don’t drink too much liquid before testing.

How to use Bluetooth:
1. Open the electronic device and APP.
2. Follow the APP prompts to bind the device.
3. After connecting, the data will be automatically synchronized via
Bluetooth afterwards.

4 Test result
Indicates a positive result where the test line is of the same color
as or darker than the control line. LH surge is detected. And you
have the highest probability of conception. Please keep testing
every 4-6 hours until it shows "+", which indicates that you have
ovulated.

A: It is not possible to test used test strips. It is recommended to

4. Q: Why is the testing duration not always the same?
A: The duration of the test is related to the amount of urine taken and
the level of LH. But the test results will not be affected by the length of
the testing time.
