1.1 Content of the kit

2. PREPARATIONS
Removal of the front cover and lamp door.
To remove the front cover and the lamp door, consult the user guide of the projector, chapter “Projector covers, removal and instal-
lation”.
Overview
• Removal of the back cover
• Removal of the top cover
• Removal of the side cover
• Removal of the side cover on the input side
2.1 Removal of the back cover
Necessary tools
Flat screwdriver
How to remove the back cover
1. Release the 3 captive screws in the back cover.

2.2 Removal of the top cover
To remove the top cover, first remove the front and back cover and the lamp door.
Necessary tools
Flat screwdriver
How to remove the top cover
1. Release the captive screw in the middle of the top cover.

2. Pull the cover out of its locks and take it off.
2.3 Removal of the side cover
To remove the side cover, first remove the front, back and top cover.

1. Loosen both screws.

2. Lift up the side cover and pull them forward to take off.

2.4 Removal of the side cover on the input side
To remove the side cover, first remove the front, back and top cover.
Necessary tools
Allen wrench 3 mm
How to remove the side cover
1. Loosen both screws at the side of the cover.

Release the fixation
2. Lift up the side cover and pull them forward to take off.

Preparations
Remove the lamp door, back and front cover, top cover and the side cover on the Input and Communication input side.
3.1 Removal of the fan
How to remove the fan
1. Disconnect the fan. If necessary cut the wire tie.

2. Cut the wire tie.
3. Turn out both fixation screws.

The fan assembly is removed for the projector.

4. Turn out both screws fixating the fan to the fan holder.

3.2 Mounting the fan

How to mount
1. Place the new fan on the fan holder with its outlet towards the flange of the holder. Text on the on the fan must be away from the
holder.

2. Fixate with 2 screws.
3. Insert the assembly in the projector and turn in both fixation screws. Insert the cable holder between the upper screw and the
assembly.

4. Tie up the cables to the cable holder.
5. Reconnect the fan and if necessary tie up the cables.

4. Installation procedures for the front fans
4. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES FOR THE FRONT FANS
Preparations
Remove the lamp door, back and front cover, top cover and left or right side cover.
4.1 Front fan removal, left side
The space to turn out the necessary screws is limited. If you cannot access the screws with your tools, first
take out the light processor fan.
How to remove
1. Disconnect both fans.

2. Turn out the 4 indicated screws.
The left bottom screw fixates at the same time a cable tie holder. First cut the cable tie.

3. Take out the fan assembly.
Both fans are mounted with 4 rubber fan fixes.
4. Pull the fan from the fan fixes.

4.2 Front fan installation, left side
Necessary parts
• Cable tie

How to install
1. Push the fan on the rubber fan fixations. Ensure that the arrow is pointing away from the fan holder.

2. Insert the fan assembly in the projector so that the gap in the frame is pointing to the bottom side of the projector.
3. Turn in the 4 fixation screws. Insert a cable tie holder between the right bottom screws and the fan frame.
4. Reconnect the fan cables. Tie up the cables on the cable tie holder.
4.3 Front fan removal, right side
How to remove
1. Disconnect the fans.

2. Cut the wire ties if necessary.
3. Turn out both fixation screws. Each fan has 2 fixation screws diagonally mounted on the fan. Take off the washer at the same
time.

4. Take out the fan.
4.4 Front fan installation, right side
Necessary parts

How to mount
1. Insert the fan with the arrow indication pointing to the inside of the projector.
2. Turn in 2 fixation screws (diagonally) and insert a washer between each screw and the fan.

5.1 Removing the top fan

1. Remove the screw and washer fixing the ring connector of the ground lead (A)
