Barco’s SIM 5H is the world’s only single-chip DLP, 1080p HD projector designed
specifically for multi-channel projection. It is a compact, cost-effective projector that
blends effortlessly with a display system and offers the image detail needed for any
type of simulation or virtual reality environment. For night training scenarios, the SIM
5H can be adapted for use with stimulated night vision goggles.
Multiple channels, one seamless image
The SIM 5H comes equipped with unique, Barco-engineered technology for multi-
channel set-ups:
• Optical edge blending guarantees one continuous image with no seams and
invisible blends, even in night scenes
• Linked constant light output (CLO) equalizes brightness levels across the entire
display system and DynaColor technology ensures perfect color matching
between channels
• Advanced warping enables geometrically correct projection across curved or
spherical screen surfaces, without loss of pixels or image quality
Minimum maintenance needs, maximum uptime
Barco’s compact SIM 5H is a perfect fit in any environment that requires a projection
system with little maintenance needs. The SIM 5H’s sealed optical engine prevents
dust from entering its core and degrading image quality. Its dual-lamp system ensures
uninterrupted uptime in case one lamp should go out, and also offers easy lamp
replacement, minimizing both service needs and downtime, and extending its system
lifetime to a great degree.
Easy-to-use control system
A system with several SIM 5H projectors is fully compatible with Barco’s user-friendly
xRACU display control, which allows the user to operate, calibrate and configure
multiple projectors from a single hand-held controller.
