Startup :
1) the batter of our PD490 ma be empt , so the PDA needs to be charged
for at least 6 hours before ou can start using.
2) Turn on our PDA with the power button (red) and wait for the first
operating s stem loading. This ma take several minutes.
3) At the end of loading, the s stem will prompt ou to calibrate the touch
screen, this is done b pressing the st lus on targets center that appear
alternatel to the 4 sides of the screen.
4) After calibration ou will be requested to initialize the clock / calendar, at
the end of this operation the PDA is read to work.
5) If ou want to connect then PDA to our computer, ou must install Active
S nc or Windows Mobile Device Center depending on whether ou use
Windows XP or Windows 7 (Vista). Both programs are provided in the support
CD.
6) For the use of all programs please refer to the online help or the Windows
Mobile PDA introduction that ou will find on board in the operating s stem.
Install SIM / Micro SD Card :
To use the PDA as a telephone ou must install a SIM card. The connector is
on the back under the batter slot.
To access the SIM connector, pull out the st lus, open the batter cover and
remove the batter .
The micro SD card connector is located under the batter as well.
After installing the card, close the compartment b inserting the batter and
pushing the cover until it hooked on the lateral

Reset :
There are several reset levels to be used depending on the severit of the
block that caused the need, or simpl to return the product to the factor
default.
1) For first reset level push the st lus into the reset hole (button next to "3")
under which it is located the button. Press for a while with the st lus, the PDA
will restart the application that resulted in ending the blockade, but without
removing data or installed programs.
2) To return the PDA to factor conditions ou use the "Master Clear" which is
located in the "Settings> S stem" folder and follow the instructions of the
program.
3) There is another wa to bring the PDA to factor settings when the s stem
OS is frozen. This method called "Hard Reset" is done b holding down a
long time and simultaneousl the two buttons "volume + / - " on the left side
+ Power (on/off) an pressing the reset (inside the hole).
The PDA will ask if ou want to switch off, pressing the "YES" and hold the 3
ke s above it proceed to the "Hard Reset".
The restart will take a few minutes and the initialization procedure previousl
described will be needed again.
WARNING: The reset procedure described in section 2 and 3 involve all data
loss (Pictures, Video, music, documents, etc ...) and the user installed
programs, while the operating s stem will be completel
restored.
