2. IMPORTANT
The operator must carefully follow the recommendations provided and the warnings
given below for a better use and preservation of the machine and to avoid injury to
people or damage to property.
This device must not be used by individuals (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory and mental capacities, or inexperienced, unless supervised by a person
responsible for their safety and instructed with regard to the use of the equipment.
Children must be supervised to make sure that they do not play with the device.
To make the hazards more obvious, adhesive symbols whose meaning is explained
below are placed on the critical points of the machine:
3. PACKAGING OPENING
1. When receiving the machine, make sure that the packaging has not been damaged
or tampered with.
2. Proceed with unpacking: take off the box and remove the supports that fix the
machine to the pallet; remove the machine from the pallet.
3. Read carefully the instructions given below (carefully preserve this manual for any
further reference).
4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Connect the machine to a socket protected with a differential magnetothermal switch
in compliance with current regulations and with a capacity corresponding to the
characteristics of the sanitizing cabinet.

6. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The machine allows the sanitizing and cleaning of garments such as jackets, trousers,
sweaters, bathrobes, towels, work clothes, motorcycle suits, sports helmets, shoes,
boots but also textiles such as blankets, cushions , curtains, sofa covers ... etc.
The ozone produced by the internal generator, allows cleaning and sanitizing thanks
to its strongly oxidizing natural gas structure. The ozone is able to eliminate bacteria,
molds, fungus, and insects, inactivate viruses and oxidize the chemical molecules
responsible for the most annoying odors that can be eliminated.
The machine is available in three versions:
STANDARD: suitable to be installed in all environments where it is necessary to
perform a sanitizing action on shoes, clothes, etc ...;
SELF WITH CENTRALIZED COIN MECHANISM (CC): suitable for installation in
self-service laundries as it can be connected to a centralized coin mechanism.
The sanitizing program is enabled to reach the established credit;
SELF WITH BUILT-IN COIN MECHANISM (G): suitable for installation in self-
service laundries, where an external centralized coin mechanism is not available. The
machine has a built-in coin mechanism.
The sanitizing program is enabled to reach the established credit.
N.B: both in the “self with centralized coin mechanism”operation and in the “built-in
coin mechanism”mode, at the end of the cycle all additional residual credits are reset.
It is therefore recommended to insert only the credit needed to start the chosen
program.
7. PROGRAM PHASES
The “program”or “sanitizing and cleaning cycle”consists of three phases:
-Phase 1^:ozone is produced to saturate the air inside the cabinet;
-Phase 2^: the ozone-saturated air is circulated by a fan to allow a correct
distribution and sanitizing action on the items to be sanitized, previously inserted;
-Phase 3^: the air, rich in ozone, is circulated through the blaster. Thanks to this
system, the ozone decreases and ensures that the indoor air is not harmful to the
person who opens the door and removes the clothes at the end of the cycle.
At the same time the germicidal lamp inside, keeps the air “clean”.
When the machine door is opened, at the end of the sanitizing and cleaning
program, the detection of a slight typical odor of ozone is to be considered normal.
Opening the door when the program has started is forbidden. During the
sanitizing phase, inside the machine there is an ozone level higher than the
safety level. Wait until the program has finished and the message
“PROGRAM COMPLETED - OPEN THE DOOR”appears on the display or the
green light is on.
THE MACHINE HAS A SAFETY DEVICE THAT PREVENTS OPENING THE DOOR WHEN
THE PROGRAM IS RUNNING.

10. PROGRAM STOP AND DOOR OPENING
You can stop the just started cycle and then allow
the door to open, for whatever reason it is
considered useful.
To stop the machine, press the two buttons
together as shown in the picture; an intermittent
acoustic signal will be emitted for a few seconds.
The message “DOOR UNLOCKED”will be shown
on the display, indicating that the program has
been stopped and the door can be opened.
You can stop the cycle only during the first 10 seconds after starting the program. 10
seconds after starting the program, the function is no longer available, in order to
prevent the door from being opened when the ozone concentration inside the machine
is higher than the safety limit.
11. DOOR OPENING/CLOSING
To open the door of the cabinet:
1. Press the button indicated by the arrow. The door lever will be
automatically released from the seat.
2. Pull the lever towards you to open.
Do not force the opening of the machine door during the execution
of a sanitizing program; always wait for the end of the running
program.
Only when the message “PROGRAM COMPLETED- <OPEN THE
DOOR>”appears on the display it will be possible to open the
cabinet door following the instructions provided above.
The device is designed to prevent opening the door during the execution of a
sanitizing program. If the door can be opened, this means that the door has not been
closed correctly before the program is started or there is a fault in the door safety
lock. In any case, if the machine detects that the door is open it immediately stops
the sanitizing cycle. Check the cause that allowed the door to open before starting the
program again.
To CLOSE the door of the cabinet:
1. Push the door until closing, keeping the lever raised.
2. Push the lever until it is locked in place.
It is recommended to check that the door is always firmly closed
with the lever locked in the closed position, before starting a cycle!

12. ADJUSTABLE SHELF
The machine is equipped with both a pole for hanging
clothes by means of hangers, and a shelf that allows you
to place the objects.
It is possible to position the shelf at the desired height
by moving the support hooks, as shown in the picture.
13. OZONE/BLASTER FAULT
The machine is designed to signal, at the end of the cycle, if there has been a
malfunction in the ozone generator or if the blast cycle has not been carried out
correctly.
If a fault occurs, the machine is blocked and no other sanitizing cycle can be started.
To highlight the problem, the buttons for programs selection remain lit and, according
to the fault, one of the two underlying messages may appear on the display:
“OZONE FAULT!”: the ozone blaster does not function properly. Check and replace
the parts if necessary.
“BLASTER FAULT!”: the blaster lamp or the ballast does not work properly. Check
and replace the parts if necessary.
To reset the machine it is necessary to switch it off and on again using the master
switch, only after having eliminated the cause of the warning.
14. ABNORMAL SHUTDOWN OF THE PROGRAM/NO ELECTRICITY
The machine has a safety system that allows reducing the residual ozone if the
program is not terminated correctly, for example in case of power failure.
Therefore, in the event of power failure, it is recommended to keep the door closed to
allow the correct removal of the residual ozone when the electricity is restored.
As soon as the power is restored, the machine automatically starts an ozone-reducing
cycle. The message “# RESET MACHINE –Close the door and wait… #” appears
on the display.
The reset mode is also visible from the alternating lighting of the short + long and
medium program buttons.
It is sufficient to wait about 10 minutes for the machine to be reset and return to
normal operation.
The end of the reset is signaled by the intermittent acoustic signal and the message
on the display: “PROGRAM COMPLETED– <OPEN THE DOOR>”.

Gea V.06 10 2018
15. CHANGE LANGUAGE
From the “software 06”version, you can choose between two languages to display the
notifications on the cabinet display.
To change the language:
1. open and keep the door open;
2. press the "medium" program button to set the English language;
3. press the "long" program button to set the Italian language.
The language remains stored until the above procedure is repeated.
16. PLUG CONNECTION (ONLY THE MACHINE CONNECTED TO A CENTRALIZED
COIN MECHANISM)
The machine is equipped with a 4-pole socket to allow interfacing the machine to a
centralized coin mechanism. Follow the instructions below, for the correct connection.
At the first “credit reached" impulse, the selection of the short program (1) is enabled.
The second impulse enables the selection of the short (1) and medium (2) programs.
The third impulse enables the selection of the short (1), medium (2) and long (3)
programs.
It is recommended to use a centralized/external coin mechanism, able to manage 2
bonuses.
The operation will be as follows:
1. You set a "basic" price, in the centralized coin mechanism, for example: 5 €. At the
insertion of the basic price, the centralized coin mechanism will have to emit an
impulse. The impulse is received by the sanitizing cabinet which will only allow the
short program to start.
2. You set a bonus 1 in the centralized coin mechanism, for example: 6 €. If
additional credit is inserted and bonus 1 is reached, the centralized coin
mechanism will emit a second impulse. At the second impulse, the sanitizing
cabinet enables the possibility to select also the medium program.
3. You set a bonus 2 in the centralized coin mechanism, for example: 7 €. If
additional credit is inserted and bonus 2 is reached, the centralized coin
mechanism will emit a third impulse. At the third impulse, the sanitizing cabinet
enables the possibility to select also the long program.

17. ELECTRICAL RISKS
The operator must pay attention to the following situations defined as hazardous from
the electrical point of view:
1. when the differential switch (circuit breaker) intervenes;
2. when using the machine during a thunderstorm;
3. when using the machine without proper feet protection (without shoes...) or with
wet hands or feet;
4. when electric cables are damaged;
5. when the machine is not connected to proper grounding according to the
regulations in force;
6. when replacing lamps and/or ballasts or any material with non-genuine parts.
18. MECHANICAL RISKS
The operator must pay attention to the following situations defined as hazardous from
the mechanical point of view:
1. when using the machine for a purpose different than the intended one.
19. INTERVENTIONS AND SMALL REPAIRS
1. Remove, when necessary, the dust from the lamps and the grille using a vacuum
cleaner (fig. 2). Do not disconnect or reverse the electrical connection of the
lamps in any way.
2. If the power cord is damaged, replace it immediately. The cable is available at the
manufacturer or the technical assistance service. Do not use the appliance with

the table below. Before intervening on the live parts, it is recommended to disconnect
the machine from the power supply.

Gea V.06 12 2018
PROBLEM
CAUSE
SOLUTION
The items inserted
in the cabinet are
not sanitized and
cleaned (they still
have a bad smell)
An excessive number of
items to be sanitized and
cleaned has been inserted
The items inserted into the
machine must be as far apart as
possible, so that their whole
surface is exposed to the hygienic
action of the ozone
The inserted load has an
excessive bacterial load
(e.g. particularly
malodorous ...) that
requires a particularly
prolonged ozone
exposure
Perform an additional sanitizing
program.
The effectiveness of the sanitizing
and cleaning treatment depends
on the type of garments and the
bacterial load present
There is an accumulation
of dust on lamps and/or
the vacuum grille.
The accumulating dust
progressively reduces the
performance of the machine.
Remove the dust from the lamps
and the grille using a vacuum
cleaner. Pay particular attention
when cleaning the lamps as they
are very fragile. Do not touch the
glass of the lamps with your
fingers so as not to leave
fingerprints and/or fat residues
which could compromise their
durability (fig. 2)
When you open the
door, at the end of
the program, you
will detect a very
intense and pungent
odor of garlic
The ozone blaster does
not function properly
Have the correct operation
checked
The door is not
locked during the
execution of a
program
The door has not been
properly closed
Make sure the door is properly
closed before starting the program
The safety locking of the
door is faulty
Disconnect the machine and have
it checked by a technician
Programs do not
start and the display
shows the message
“CLOSE THE DOOR”
The door has not been
properly closed
Make sure that the door closes
properly and that the safety
device, located near the door, is
well positioned and secured. If the
message “CLOSE THE DOOR”is
still displayed then the device is
faulty and must be replaced
The machine does
not start or does not
work
The fuses are damaged
Check the fuses located inside the
machine (fig. 3). To access the
fuse compartment, remove the top
cover of the machine.
