Energy saving tips
• SwitchONthe hood atminimum speed when you start cooking and keptitrunning for few minutes after cookingis nished.

• Replacethe charcoallter(s)whennecessarytomaintain agoododourreduction eciency.

• Usethe maximum diameterof the ducting systemindicatedin this manual to optimize eciency and minimizenoise.
INSTALLATION
Afterunpackingthe appliance,checkfor anytransportdamage.In theeventof problems,contactthe dealeroryournearestAfter-salesService.To preventany
damage,only removetheappliancefromits polystyrenefoampackaging at the time of installation.
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
WARNING: this is a heavy product; the hood should only be lifted and installed by two or more people.
Theminimumdistance betweenthesupport ofthe cookingpans ontopofthe cookerandthe bottomof thehoodmust notbelessthan 50cmfor electriccookers
and65 cm for gas or mixed cookers.Beforeinstallationalso check theminimum distances statedinthe manual of the cooker.
Ifthe installation instructions for the cookerspecify a greaterdistancebetweencookerandhood,this distance must be observed.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Makesurethepowervoltagespecied on theappliance rating plateis the same as the mains voltage.
Thisinformationmaybe found on the inside of the hood,under the greaselter.
Powercablereplacement(type H05VV-F3x 0,75 mm²)must be carried outby a qualied electrician.Contactan authorized servicecentre.
Ifthe hoodisttedwith anelectric plug, connect theplugtoa socket complyingwith currentregulations,locatedinanaccessibleplace afterinstallation.Ifno plug
istted (directwiring tothe mains),orif thesocketis notlocatedinan accessibleplace,installa standardiseddouble polepowerswitch thatwill enablecomplete
isolationfromthe mains incase ofcategory III overvoltageconditions,in accordancewith installation rules.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Before use
Removecardboardprotection pieces,protectivelm and adhesivelabelsfromaccessories.Checkthe appliance foranytransportdamage.
During use
To avoidany damage donot place anyweightsonthe appliance. Donot expose the applianceto atmospheric agents.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
The appliance does not work:
• Checkfor the presenceofmains electricalpowerand if the appliance is connected to theelectricalsupply;
• Turn othe appliance and restart it to seeif the fault persists.
The hood’s suction level is not sucient:
• Checkthe suctionspeed and adjust as necessary;
• Checkthatthe lters areclean;
• Checkthe air ventsforany obstructions.
The lamp does not work:
• Checkthe light bulband replace if necessary;
• Checkthatthe light bulb has been correctly tted.
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Before calling the After-sales Service:
1. See if youcan solve the problemyourselfwith the helpof the suggestions given in the“Troubleshootingguide”.
2. Switchtheapplianceo andback on again it tosee if the fault persists.
If after the above checks the fault still occurs, get in touch with the nearest After-sales Service.
Alwaysspecify:
• Abrief description of the fault;
• Theexact typeand model ofthe appliance;
• Theservice number(numberafter theword“Service”onthe ratingplate),locatedonthe insideofthe appliance.Theservicenumber isalsoindicatedonthe
guaranteebooklet;
• Your full address;
• Your telephone number.
Ifany repairs arerequired,pleasecontact an authorised After-sales Service (to guaranteethatoriginalsparepartswill be used and repairscarried out correctly).

CLEANING
WARNING: -Never use steam cleaning equipment.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
IMPORTANT: do not use corrosive or abrasive detergents. If any of these products accidentally comes into contact with the appliance, clean
immediately with a damp cloth.
• Cleanthe surfaces with adamp cloth. If it is verydirty, add a few drops of washingup detergenttothe water. Finish o with a drycloth.
IMPORTANT: do not use abrasive sponges or metallic scrapers or scourers. Over time, these can ruin the enamel surface.
• Usedetergentsspecicallydesigned for cleaning the appliance and follow the manufacturer instructions.
IMPORTANT: clean the lters at least monthly to remove any oil or grease residuals.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: - use protective gloves.

GREASE FILTERS
Themetalgreaselter hasanunlimitedlifeand shouldbecleaned oncea monthbyhandor inadishwasheratlow
temperatureand withashort cycle.Cleaningin adishwashermaycausediscoloringof thegreaselter, but itsltering
eciency is unaected.

REPLACING LAMPS
IMPORTANT: check the type of lamp is suitable for your particular model of appliance.
Replace the lamp with an identical one as indicated on the specications label or next to the lamp itself, on
the hood
1. Disconnect thehood from the household mains.
2. Open the steamcollecting drawerand removethe grease lters (see the sectionentitled“greaselters”).
3. Removethedamaged bulb and replaceit with a new one.
UseE14 2,5WmaxLEDlamps only. For moredetails,checkenclosed leaet“ILCOS D”(alfanumericposition
“1e”).

Thehoodis designed for installation and use in“Extractorversion”or in“Filterversion”.
Extractor Version
Fumesareextracted and expelledtothe outside throughan exhaust pipe(not supplied) xedtothe hood exhaust pipe connector.
Depending on the exhaust pipe purchased,provideforsuitablexing to the exhaust pipe connector.
IMPORTANT: If already installed, remove the carbon lter/s.
Filter Version
Airis lteredthroughthe carbonlter/sand recycled into the surroundingenvironment.
IMPORTANT: Check that air recirculation is ensured.
If the hood does not have the carbon lter/s, order one/them and t before use.
Installthe hood awayfromvery dirty areas,windows,doors and heatsources.
Thehoodcomes withallthematerialsnecessaryforinstallation onthemajority ofwalls/ceilings.However, aqualiedtechnicianmust ensurethatthe materialsare
suitableaccordingtothe type of wall/ceiling.

INSTALLATION - ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Theinstructions below,to becarriedout in theorderinwhich theyarenumbered,refertothe drawingsonthe lastfewpages ofthismanual,whicharemarkedwith
thecorrespondingnumbers.
1. Fitafascia (notsupplied)
2. Fitthetwo valvessections onthehood’s fumeoutlet.
Placethe round adhesive labels in the holeson the right- and left-hand sides of the casing.
3. Ifthe walls ofthe cupboardare16mmthick, placethe four spacers(two on each side) on the through-holesforthe fastening screws.
4. Takeout the steam collector andremovethegreaselters.
5-6. Placethe drilling templateonthe inside wallof the cupboard,positioningit as shownin the diagram.
Drill the threeholes as indicatedinthe diagram.
Thelargestholewill be used for supporting the hood during installation on the cupboard.
Repeatthis step to drill the holes on the other wall of the cupboard.
Ifthereis not one already,drill a hole in thetop of the cupboard using the dimensions giveninthe gure.
Thefumeextractiontube and thepowercable will be run throughthisopening.
7. Installan exhaust tube on thehood’s fume outlet.
Thetubemust be long enough toreachthe outside (extracting version)orthe top of the cupboard(lteringversion).
Placethe hood inside the cupboard,latchingthetabson the sides into the two holes (oneon each side)in thewalls of thecupboard.
Frominsidethehood,screwthe four screws(two on eachside) into the holes in the walls of the cupboard.
Insert the powercable inthe appropriateslot.Secure the cable with the cable clamp.
IMPORTANT:This action is compulsory. It will prevent accidental disconnection of the power cable. Connect the appliance to the
household mains.
8. Checkthatthe exhaust tube and thepowercable can pass through the hole drilled intothe top of the cupboard without anyproblems.
9. Adjustthe drawer’send stop bytting the twobracketsprovided.Secureinplace with twoscrews.
10. For the ltering version only: Installthe carbon lter.
11. Retthe grease lters.

Filter saturation signaling reset: Carry outltermaintenance,then pressandhold button2untilthe
LEDsgo out.
Note: Activecarbonltersaturationis normallydisabledandshould onlybeactivatedif thehoodisused
asa lter version(with carbon ltertted).
To do so,proceedas follows:
-switch o thehood
-pressand hold both buttons 3 and 4 until LEDs L1and L2 briey ash.
To turn o repeatthis process,onlyLED L1 will briey ash.
