and other protective devices required by the job.
•NEVER operate this equipment when not feeling well due to fatigue, illness or taking medicine.
•NEVER operate this equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
•NEVER use accessories or attachments, which are not recommended by our Company for this equipment.
Damage to the equipment and/or injury to user may result.
•The manufacturer does not assume responsibility for any accident due to equipment modifications.
•Whenever necessary, replace nameplate, operation and safety decals when they become difficult to read.
•ALWAYS check the machine for loosened threads or bolts before starting.
•NEVER touch the hot exhaust manifold, muffler or cylinder. Allow these parts to cool before servicing
engine or saw.
•High Temperatures -Allow the engine to cool before adding fuel or performing service and maintenance
functions. Contact with hot components can cause serous bums.
•The engine section of this cutter requires an adequate free flow of cooling air. NEVER operate the cutter in
any enclosed or narrow area where free flow of the air is restricted. If the air flow is restricted it will cause
serious damage to the saw or engine and may cause injury to people. Remember the cutter's engine gives
off DEADLY carbon monoxide gas.
•ALWAYS refuel in a well-ventilated area, away from sparks and open flames.
•ALWAYS use extreme caution when working with flammable liquids. When refuelling, stop the engine and
allow it to cool. DO NOT smoke around or near the machine. Fire or explosion could result from fuel
vapours, or if fuel is spilled on a hot engine.
•NEVER operate the cutter in an explosive atmosphere or near combustible materials. An explosion or fire
could result causing severe bodily harm or even death.
•Topping-off to the fuel filler port is dangerous, as it tends to spill fuel.
•NEVER use fuel as a cleaning agent.

Operation
Front Pointer Alignment
The pointer should be checked for proper alignment with the blade after every use.
(A)
Mark a 4 feet long straight line on
a smooth level surface. Place saw
parallel to line; lower blade and
center it over the line.
(B)
With the blade parallel to the line,
lower the front pointer assembly
and position the pointer over the
line.
(C)
Adjust the pointer in or out if the
orange wheel is off the line by
loosening the bolt on the end of
pointer. Align orange wheel with
line.
Adjusting Depth of Cut Gauge
(A)
Unlock crank wheel.
(B)
Turn crank wheel until blade touches the
ground.

Maintenance
Spark Plug
Clean or replace the spark plug as needed to ensure proper operation.
Refer to the table below for frequency.
The spark plug becomes very hot during operation and remains hot for a while after
stopping the engine. Do not touch the spark plug while it is hot.
Note: Refer to the Technical Data for the recommended spark plug type and the
electrode gap setting.
•Remove the spark plug and inspect it.
•Replace the spark plug if the insulator is cracked or chipped.
•Clean the spark plug electrodes with a wire brush.
•Set the electrode gap (a) 0.6 – 0.7 mm
•Tighten the spark plug securely.
0.6 – 0.7 mm

Air Filter
NOTICE: NEVER run the engine without the air cleaner. Severe engine
damage will occur.
The engine is equipped with a dual-element air cleaner.
Under normal operating conditions, the elements should be cleaned once
every week. Under severe, dry and dusty conditions, the elements should
be maintained daily. Replace an element when it is saturated with dirt that
cannot be removed.
•Remove the air cleaner cover (a). Remove the filter assembly by pulling
it straight up. Inspect both elements for holes or tears. Replace
damaged elements.
•Wash the foam element (b) in a solution of mild detergent and warm
water. Rinse it thoroughly in clean water. Allow the element to dry
thoroughly.
•Tap the paper element (c) lightly to remove excess dirt or blow
compressed air through the filter from the inside out. Replace the paper
element if it appears heavily soiled.
Oil
Please check oil before every use. To drain the oil, remove the drain plug with a 10mm socket.
10mm screw

Once drained, fasten the screw plug back in. Refill with 600ml of 10W30 (recommended) engine oil by removing
the dipstick (circled in red) and pouring into cavity.
Check oil by removing dipstick and wiping it clean. Dip it back into its cavity without fully screwing it back in.
