Anwendung
Der BEGA Smart Rotary Dimmer ist ein
Funk-Drehdimmer mit integrierter Antenne
zum Schalten, Dimmen und Regulieren der
Lichtfarbe von Leuchten.
Hierzu ist lediglich ein Anschluss an
Netzspannung erforderlich.
Für den Einbau in Schalter- und
Hohlraumdosen.
Der Einsatz wird ohne Abdeckung
geliefert und kann in Kombination mit den
Schalterprogrammen der gängigen Hersteller
verwendet werden.
Nach erfolgreicher Installation ndet die
Konguration in der App BEGA Smart statt.
Die App BEGA Smart ist kostenlos für iOS und
Android verfügbar.
Application
The BEGA Smart Rotary Dimmer is a wireless
dimmer with integrated aerial for switching,
dimming and regulating the light colour of
luminaires.
It only requires a connection to the power
supply.
For installation in switching and cavity boxes.
The insert is supplied without a cover and can
be used in conjunction with the switch ranges
of most well-known manufacturers.
Once successfully installed, the switch is
congured in the BEGA Smart app.
The BEGA Smart app is available for free for
iOS and Android.
Utilisation
L’interrupteur rotatif de variation BEGA Smart
est un variateur rotatif par radio avec antenne
intégrée pour commuter, grader et réguler la
couleur de lumière des luminaires.
Pour ce faire, il suft d’un raccordement à la
tension réseau.
Pour installation encastrée dans des boîtiers
d’interrupteurs ou pour cloisons creuses.
L’appareillage est livré sans couvercle et
peut être utilisé en combinaison avec les
programmes de produits des fabricants
courants d’interrupteurs.
Une fois l’installation réussie, la conguration a
lieu dans l’application BEGA Smart.
L’application BEGA Smart est disponible
gratuitement pour iOS et Android.

gängiger Hersteller falls erforderlich die
beiliegenden Adapter benutzen (siehe Skizze).
Um während der Inbetriebnahme auf den
Data Matrix Code zurückgreifen zu können,
empfehlen wir die Abdeckung erst nach
erfolgreicher Installation anzubringen.
Die weiteren beiliegenden QR-Codes
bewahren Sie bitte in Ihrer bauseitigen
Dokumentation (z. B.Gebrauchsanweisung
Seite1 oben) auf.
Installation
Electrical connection:
Make sure that the power supply matches the
input voltage range indicated on the device´s
type plate.
uCaution:
The device is exclusively intended for use
within lightning protection zones 2and3 (LPZ2
and LPZ3) and meets the requirements of
overvoltage category II.
The Smart Rotary Dimmer is electrically
connected to the terminals labelled LandN.
Insert, align and secure the Smart Rotary
Dimmer in the switch or cavity box.
When installing a cover from a well-known
manufacturer provided by the customer, use
the accompanying adapters if necessary
(see sketch). In order to keep the data matrix
code accessible during commissioning, we
recommend that the cover is only tted upon
successful installation.
Please retain the other enclosed QR
codes in your on-site documentation (e.g.
Instructions for use at top of Page1).
Installation
Raccordement électrique:

accéder au code Data Matrix pendant la mise
en service, nous conseillons de monter le
cache une fois l’installation effectuée.

Reichweite
Die Zigbee-Funkreichweite zwischen einzelnen
Geräten liegt in der Regel bei 30m, wobei die
Umgebungsbedingungen eine entscheidende
Rolle spielen.
Im freien Feld können deutlich größere
Reichweiten erzielt werden. Bei erschwerten
Bedingungen empfehlen wir die zusätzliche
Verwendung des Zigbee Routermoduls71 055.
Range
The Zigbee radio range between individual
devices is usually 30m, with ambient
conditions playing a decisive role.
Signicantly larger ranges can be achieved in
an open eld environment. We recommend the
additional use of Zigbee router module 71 055
in adverse conditions.

Inbetriebnahme
Nach der Installation des Smart Rotary
Dimmers erfolgt die Konguration mit der App
BEGA Smart.
Der Smart Rotary Dimmer sollte sich in
den Werkseinstellungen benden, damit er
erfolgreich konguriert werden kann. Dieser
Zustand ist erkennbar an der grün blinkenden
Status-LED.
Laden und starten Sie die App BEGA Smart.
Commissioning
Once the Smart Rotary Dimmer has been
installed, it is congured using the BEGA Smart
app.
For successful conguration, the Smart Rotary
Dimmer must be in factory settings. This status
is indicated by the green ashing status LED.
Install and start the BEGA Smart app.

Betriebsmodi
Der Smart Rotary Dimmer verfügt über zwei
verschiedene Steuerungsmodi:
1. Basismodus (werkseitig eingestellt)
Der Basismodus ist bei Auslieferung des
Dimmers voreingestellt und lässt sich nach
erfolgreicher Installation und Einrichtung in der
App bedienen.
Ein Tasten am Drehknopf bewirkt das Ein- bzw.
Ausschalten der jeweils zugeordneten Leuchten
und Geräte.
Mit Drehen im bzw. gegen den Uhrzeigersinn
lässt sich die Helligkeit regulieren.
2. Erweiterter Modus
Der erweiterte Modus macht weitere
Bedienfunktionen zugänglich und erlaubt die
Konguration eigener Befehle.
Die Aktivierung erfolgt über die
AppBEGASmart.
Operating modes
The Smart Rotary Dimmer has two different
control modes:
1. Basic mode (factory settings)
The basic mode is preset when the dimmer
is delivered and can be used after successful
installation and set-up in the app.
Pushing the rotary knob switches the luminaires
and devices in question on and off.
The brightness can be adjusted by turning it
clockwise or counter-clockwise.
2. Advanced mode
The advanced mode offers additional operating
functions and lets you congure your own
commands.
It can be activated via the BEGA Smart app.
Modes de fonctionnement
Le variateur rotatif intelligent dispose de deux
modes de gestion différents:
1. Mode de base (réglage d’usine)
Le mode de base est préinstallé lors de la
livraison du variateur et se commande une
fois l’installation et la conguration de l’appli
réussies.
Une touche placée sur l’interrupteur rotatif sert
à la commutation des différents luminaires et
appareils assignés.
La luminosité se règle en tournant dans ou
contre le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
2. Mode élargi
Le mode élargi donne accès à des fonctions
de commande supplémentaires et permet de
congurer ses propres ordres.
L’activation s’effectue via l’application BEGA
Smart.
Zurücksetzen auf Werkseinstellungen:
Erfolgt die Installation nicht ordnungsgemäß
oder ist ein Zugriff über die AppBEGASmart
nicht mehr möglich, sollte der Smart Rotary
Dimmer auf Werkseinstellungen zurück gesetzt
werden.
Um den Smart Rotary Dimmer auf die
Werkseinstellungen zurückzusetzen, ist
zunächst die Abdeckung zu entfernen.
Drücken Sie nun den Taster 3xkurz und
danach 1xlang (ca.10Sekunden), bis die
Status-LED grün blinkt.
Der Dimmer ist nun auf seine
Werkseinstellungen zurück gesetzt. Die LED
blinkt grün, bis eine erneute Konguration
gestartet wird.
Reset to factory settings:
If the installation is not carried out correctly, or
access via the BEGA Smart app is no longer
possible, the Smart Rotary Dimmer should be
reset to factory settings.
To reset the Smart Rotary Dimmer to factory
settings, you must rst remove the cover.
Now give the pushbutton three short
pushes followed by one long push (approx.
10seconds) until the status LED ashes green.
The dimmer has now been reset to factory
settings. The LED will ash green until a new
conguration is initiated.
Rétablir les paramètres d’usine:
Si l’installation n’est pas correctement effectuée
ou si l’accès n’est plus possible via l’application
BEGA Smart, les paramètres d’usine du
variateur rotatif intelligent doivent être rétablis.
Pour rétablir les paramètres d’usine du
variateur rotatif intelligent, il faut d’abord retirer
le cache.
Appuyez maintenant sur le bouton-
poussoir, 3pressions courtes et 1longue
(env.10secondes), jusqu’à ce que la LED
d’état clignote en vert.
Les paramètres d’usine du variateur rotatif
intelligent sont désormais rétablis. La LED
clignote en vert jusqu’à ce qu’une nouvelle
conguration soit démarrée.
