This section includes the safety
instructions that will help providing
protection against personal injury
and material loss risks. Failure to
follow these instructions invalida-
tes the granted warranty.
1.1 General safety
•Do not use the appliance outdo-
ors or in the bathroom.
•No responsibility or warranty
claim shall be assumed for da-
mages arising from misuse or
improper handling of the appli-
ance.
•Do not certainly attempt to se-
parate or break into pieces the
mounting parts of the appliance.
•Only use the original parts or
parts recommended by the ma-
nufacturer.
•Always use the appliance on a
stable, flat, clean dry, and non-
slip surface.
•The appliance should not be
operated with an external clock
timer or separate remote control
system.
•Before using the appliance for
the time, clean all parts. Please
see the details given in the "Cle-
aning and Maintenance" section.
•Ensure that that the product is
turned off before moving it.
•During the brewing, it is inconve-
nient to open the brewing room
as there is hot tea and steam in-
side, risk of burning may arise.
•Do not move the appliance when
it is still hot or when there is li-
quid inside the water boiler and
decander.
•Avoid contacting the hot surfa-
ces. Hold the water boiler and
decander by its handle only;
otherwise, there is a risk of bur-
ning. Water boiler and decander
get hot while using.
•Glass of water boiler, brewing
chamber, brewing room, decan-
der glass and especially the bot-
tom surface (sheet metal surface)
on which the decander is seated
get hot while using. Therefore, do
not touch those areas while using
and until the appliance gets cold.
•Close the lid of water boiler in
order to avoid splashes of water
when the water boils. Close the
lid of decander and the lid of bre-
wing room tightly during brewing.

1 Important safety and environmental instructions
1.1.1 Electrical safety
•Arçelik Household Appliances
comply with the applicable sa-
fety standards; therefore, in case
of any damage on the appliance
or power cable, it should be re-
paired or replaced by the dealer,
service center or a specialist and
authorized service alike to avoid
any danger. Faulty or unqualified
repair work may be dangerous
and cause risk to the user.
•Make sure that your mains power
supply comply with the informa-
tion supplied on the rating plate
of the appliance. The only way to
disconnect the appliance from
the power supply is to pull the
power plug out of the power out-
let.
•This appliance should be con-
nected to a maximum 30 mA
domestic fault current protection
fuse for additional protection. For
advice, refer to an electric tech-
nician.
•Connect the appliance to a gro-
unded outlet protected by a 16
ampere fuse.
•Never use the appliance if the
power cable or the appliance it-
self is damaged.
•Do not use this appliance with an
extension cord.
•Dry the water boiler and the outer
surface of the decander before
making electrical connection and
placing the parts to their positi-
ons.
•Never touch the appliance or its
plug with damp or wet hands.
•Place the appliance in a way so
that the plug is always acces-
sible.
•Prevent damage to the power
cord by not squeezing, bending,
or rubbing it on sharp edges.
Keep the power cable away from
hot surfaces and naked flame.
•Make sure that there is no dan-
ger that the power cord could be
accidentally pulled or that some-
one could trip over it when the
appliance is in use.
•Unplug the appliance if any fai-
lure occurs.
•Unplug the appliance before each
cleaning and when the device is
not in use.
•Do not pull the power cable of
the appliance to unplug the app-
liance from the outlet and do not
wrap its power cable around the
appliance.

•Do not immerse the appliance,
power cord, or power plug in
water or any other liquids. Do not
hold it under running water and
do not clean parts in dishwasher.
1.1.2 Product safety
•Never operate or place any part
of this appliance on or near to
hot surfaces such as gas burner,
electric hotplate or heated oven.
•Never use the appliance in or
near to combustible or inflam-
mable places and materials.
•Never wash the water boiler in
dishwasher; water should not
contact the electric components
in its base unit during rinsing.
•Never fill in the water boiler more
than the maximum level indica-
tor. If it is filled in excessively, hot
water may splash when it boils. In
order to increase your product's
service life, do not fill water in it
below the minimum level when
you operate it.
•Never operate the appliance
when there is no water in it.
1.2 Intended use
•The appliance is designed to be
used in homes, the kitchens of
the employees at offices, stores
and other working environments,
and in the guest rooms at the ho-
tels, motels and other accommo-
dation places. This appliance is
not fit for professional use.
•Do not use the appliance for any-
thing other than its intended use.
•Tea Machine can be used to pre-
pare tea or to heat water (as a
water boiler).
•Do not use the appliance to heat
other liquids or food sold in con-
tainers, cans, jars or bottles.
1.3 Children’s safety
•Extreme caution is advised when
being used near children and
persons who are restricted in
their physical, sensory or mental
abilities.
•This appliance can be used by
the children who are at the age
of 8 or over and by the people
who have limited physical, sen-
sory or mental capacity or who
do not have knowledge and ex-
perience, as long as they are su-
pervised with regard to safe use
of the product or they are instruc-
ted accordingly or understand
the risks of using the product.

Children should not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance procedures should
not be performed by children un-
less they are controlled by their
elders.
•Danger of choking! If you keep
the package material keep it
away from children.
•Make sure the appliance is kept
in a place out of reach of child-
ren.
1.4 Compliance with the WEEE
Directive and disposal of waste
products
This product does not include harmful
and prohibited materials specified in
the “Regulation for Supervision of the
Waste Electric and Electronic Applian-
ces” issued by the Ministry of Environ-
ment and Urban Planning. This appliance con-
forms to the WEEE regulation. This product has
been manufactured with high quality parts and
materials which can be reused and are suitable
for recycling. Therefore, do not dispose the pro-
duct with normal domestic waste at the end of
its service life. Take it to a collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Ask the local authority in your area for these col-
lection points. Contribute to the preservation of
environment and natural sources by taking the
used products to the recycling points.
1.5 Package details
Package of the product is made of
recyclable materials in accordance
with our national legislation. Do not
dispose of the packaging materials to-
gether with the domestic or other wastes. Take
them to the packaging material collection points
designated by the local authorities.

3.1 Initial use
1. Clean the water boiler, decander and bre-
wing chamber according to 4.1 Cleaning
section before using the appliance for the
first time.
2. Make sure that the appliance stands upright
on a balanced, flat, clean, dry and nonskid
surface.
3.2 Time setting
We recommend that you set up the clock before
using the appliance:
1. Plug in the power cable to outlet.
2. Bring On/Off button to "I" position.
3. The initial opening time of the appliance ap-
pears as “00:00” in the control panel.
4. Touch the "End Time " symbol for 3 se-
conds within 5 seconds after turning on the
appliance. In case you exceed 5 seconds
or faulty adjustment is made, the appliance
may be available again to the time setting
after being turned off and turned on by the
on-off button.
5. You can set the time with the “- | +” symbols
in control panel when “00:00” on the screen
starts to flash.
6. Touch "End time " symbol to confirm the
time.
CTime setting will be maintained
even in case of power failure or
the appliance is turned off during
1 week.
AWARNING: If the time setting is
unadjusted, set it again.

WARNING:In the case that time
setting cannot be made or faulty
adjustment is made, switch off
and on the appliance once again
or wait for the appliance to switch
to standby mode, then repeat the
steps 4 and 5.
3.3 Brewing black tea
1. Lift the water boiler (2). Then open the teapot
lid by pressing the button below the brewing
room lid (14).
2. If brewing chamber (12) in the brewing room
(11) is dirty, lift it by holding the handle (13)
and clean it.
CYou can wash the brewing cham-
ber (12) in dish washer or under
the running water.
3. Hold from both sides of the handle of bre-
wing chamber (12) and press it lightly to seat
it to brewing room.
4. Plug in the power cable to outlet.
5. Bring On/Off button (10) to "I" position.
6. Fill the amount appropriate to your need to
the brewing chamber (12) in the brewing
room and chose one of the options: Min.-
Med.-Max. (See the Table 1.1)
7. Fill water inside the water boiler (2) more
than the minimum quantity and place it in its
housing on the body (5).
8. Close the brewing room (11) and the lid of
water boiler (1).
9. Place the decander lid (8) onto the decander
(6) and seat it into its place.
10. Touch "Type " symbol and activate the
"Black" option.
CThe last setting appears on display
when the appliance is switched
on. Touch "Type " symbol to se-
lect the option black tea brewing.

11. Touch "Aroma " symbol to select the
most appropriate option that suits your ap-
petite among Mild-Medium-Strong aroma
options.

Water hardness is an important
parameter in order to be able to
brew the tea according to Mild-
Medium-Strong aroma. (See
Recipe Booklet)
12. Press "Capacity " symbol to select among
the quantity options of Min.-Med.-Max.
13. Touch "Start " symbol to start tea brewing
process.
AWARNING: Do not fill water in the
brewing chamber (12) and decan-
der.
CTemperature degree of water ap-
pears on display after tea brewing
process starts.

Water is transferred from the out-
let of water transfer (15) according
to the selection of the quantity to
be brewed.
Do not remove water boiler (2) du-
ring water transfer.
CWater may be added to the water
boiler in cases other than water
transfer.

Tea brewing process takes 11-15
and 20 minutes depending on the
selected taste textures. Brewing
timer counts down on the display
during the brewing process.
C
After the brewing period is over,
tea is filtered through brewing
chamber (12) into the decander
(6). This process takes approxima-
tely 1 to 3 minutes depending on
the quantity.
3 Use
AWARNING: Do not take the decan-
der from its place during the trans-
fer of the tea to the decander.
14.When the tea is ready, you will be informed
with a melody. You can take the decander
from its place.
COnce the tea is ready, a symbol
showing that the tea is re-
ady for drinking appears on the
display.
CTouch "End Time" symbol to see
how much time left before the tea
gets stale.
CWhen the tea gets stale a warning
sound will be heard.
15. You can serve the tea inside the decander
and water inside the water boiler by mixing
as you wish.

Then appliance will preserve the
temperature of both the tea in the
decander and the water in the wa-
ter boiler for 60 minutes in order to
keep the tea hot.
16.Touch "Start " symbol for 3 seconds to
cancel tea brewing process.
C
Appears on the display when
you cancel tea brewing process. If
water is transferred to the brewing
chamber (12), water in the bre-
wing chamber will be spilled to
decander (6). This process takes
approximately 1 to 3 minutes de-
pending on the quantity. Switch off
and on the appliance to terminate
the cancel process.

3.4 Green tea brewing
1. Lift the water boiler (2). Then open the teapot
lid by pressing the button below the brewing
room lid (14).
2. If brewing chamber (12) in the brewing room
(11) is dirty, lift it by holding the handle (13)
and clean it.
CYou can wash the brewing cham-
ber (12) in dish washer or under
the running water.

wing chamber (12) and press it lightly to seat

6. Touch "Type " symbol. First, activate the
"Green" option.
7. Press "Capacity " symbol to select among
the quantity options of Min.-Med.-Max.
8. Touch "Start " symbol to start tea brewing
process.

CAs the tea is transferred to decan-
der after being filtered, you will get
a tasty and pleasant taste.
10.When the tea is ready, you will be informed
with a melody. You can take the decander
from its place.
COnce the tea is ready, a symbol
showing that the tea is re-
ady for drinking appears on the
display.
CTouch "End Time" symbol to see
how much time left before the tea
gets stale.
CWhen the tea gets stale a warning
sound will be heard.

The temperature of the tea in the
decander will be protected during
60 minutes. When you wish to
heat the water in the water boiler
(2) during this process, you can ac-
tivate the water boiler (2) by using
the water boiler mode button.
11. Touch "Start " symbol for 3 seconds to
cancel tea brewing process.

Appears on the display when
you cancel tea brewing process. If
water is transferred to the brewing
chamber (12), water in the bre-
wing chamber will be spilled to
decander (6). This process takes
approximately 1 to 3 minutes de-
pending on the quantity. Switch off
and on the appliance to terminate

3.5 Custom
You can use the Custom mode to brew your tea
according to temperature level and time you de-
sired.
1. Follow the steps from 1 to 9 in section 3.3
black tea brewing.
2. Touch "Type 1 symbol to activate
"Custom" symbol.
3. Touch “- | +” symbols to select the tempera-
ture you desired.

You can select the temperature le-
vels between 70° and 95°. Touch
“- | +” symbols to increase or dec-
rease temperature levels in incre-
ments of 5°.
4. Brewing time must be flashing on display
when you touch "Aroma " symbol.
5. Touch “- | +” symbols to adjust the time you
desired.
CYou may select the brewing time
within the range of 2 to 24 minu-
tes.
6. Press "Capacity " symbol to select among
the quantity options of Min.-Med.-Max.
3.6 Heating water (Water boiler
mode)
CYou can use the appliance only to
boil water.
1. Plug in the power cable to outlet.
2. Bring On/Off button (10) to "I" position.
3. Fill in the water boiler (2) with water up to the
extent you need.

WARNING: Please remember to
fill in the water boiler (2) with water
such that the water will not drop
down below minimum quantity
and exceed beyond the maximum
quantity.

4. Lightly lift and release water boiler on/off
button (4) on the right-handed side of the
product to start the water boiling process.
CYou will hear 'CLICK' sound when
you lift the water boiler on/off but-
ton (4) and the lamp of the button
will be illuminated.
5. Touch “- | +” symbols to determine the wa-
ter heating temperature you desired, after
activating water boiler mode.

WARNING: Temperature values
can be selected between 50° and
99°. Temperature setting must be
readjusted when you quit water
boiler mode and reselect water
boiler mode. If no temperature set-
ting is performed, the water boiler
boils water up to 99°C.
6. Simply press lightly and hold the water boiler
on/off button (4) upwards to see the current
temperature of the water inside the water
boiler. The current temperature appears on
display.

After your water reaches to the
selected temperature, if the water
boiler is not taken from its pla-
ce it will be kept in the selected
temperature during 30 minutes; If
the water boiler is taken from its
place, the process of keeping in
the selected temperature will be
canceled. An audio warning will be
heard when your water reaches to
the temperature you selected.

If the water boiler is taken from its
place before your water reaches
to the temperature you selected,
it will keep functioning in order to
reach to the temperature you se-
lected, and will be kept hot during
30 minutes.

7. Simply lift water boiler on/off button (4) up-
wards and release to cancel water boiling
process. The water boiler on/off button indi-
cator will be turned off when the process is
canceled.
3.7 Tea brewing with delay timing
Tea brewing with forward timing mode is a func-
tion used for brewing tea automatically at a later
time you wish.
1. Follow brewing steps in any of the titles
3.3/3.4/3.5 according to the tea type to be
brewed.
AWARNING: Make sure that
the actual time is set correctly.
Otherwise, the tea will not be re-
ady at the time you wish.

WARNING: You can use tea bre-
wing with forward timing mode in
the product to make adjustment
until after max. 24 hours as from
the actual time.
A
WARNING: Tea brewing with for-
warding timing adjustment is not
possible for durations less than 40
minutes. Just brew tea in regular
mode for those duration.
2. Touch "End Time " symbol to activate tea
brewing with forwarding timing feature.
CTime delay feature flashes on
display.
3. Touch “- | +” symbols to select the time you
want your tea to be ready.
4. Touch "End Time " symbol to confirm the
time.
5. Lastly, touch the "Start " symbol.

CYour tea will be ready at the time
you determined and you will be
notified with a melody.

WARNING: When tea brewing
with forwarding timing mode is
enabled; the time that the tea will
be ready will appear on the disp-
lay on control panel for 5 seconds,
then option lights of the product
will be turned off and actual time
will appear and starting led will
flash with pink lights.
3.8 Capacities

Grammages to be used vary depending on
tea brand and type. Specified quantities are
average quantities.
3.9 Sleep mode
If no selection is made within 1 minute after
switching on the device, the device switches to
sleep mode.
In the sleep mode, the LEDs in the control panel
(8) does not light, only time is displayed.
In case the decander, water boiler or the bre-
wing chamber is taken from their place or any
selection is made in the control panel, the sleep
mode is deactivated.
3.10 LEDs
Start Led is White: No
selection is active. Ready
to use (Selectable).
Start Led is Red: The
function of brewing tea or
keeping the tea hot is
active.
Start Led is Pink: Flashing
pink light. Tea brewing
with forward timing
function is active.
3.11 Notifications
Cancel Animation: In case
tea brewing is canceled
after filling water to the
brewing chamber, start
button flashes red.
Drinking Animation: This
symbol is in motion (in
the form of animation)
during transfer of tea
from brewing chamber to decander. After tea
transfer is complete, the symbol remains stable
within the time that the tea is kept hot. Touch
"Finish Time" symbol to see how much time left
for drinking tea.
Pump Animation: Water
transfer from water boiler
to brewing chamber.
U0: Warning that the
water boiler is not in its
place.
U1: Warning that the
brewing chamber is not
in its place. It is not
seated well in its place. When you see this
warning, press the middle part of the brewing
chamber lightly to seat it well.
U2: Warning that the
decander is not in its
place.
U3: No or very little water
warning.

4 Cleaning
4.1 Cleaning
AWARNING: Never use gasoline,
solvent, abrasive cleaning agents,
metal objects or hard brushes to
clean the appliance.
AWARNING: Never immerse the
appliance or its power cable in
water or in any other liquid.
1. Switch off and unplug the appliance.
2. Wait for the appliance to cool down.
3. Remove the decander (6).
4. Open the lid of brewing room (14).
5. Lift the water boiler (2).
6. Remove brewing chamber (12) from brewing
room (11).
7. Wash and clean the brewing chamber (12),
decander (6) and lid of decander (8) under
running water by using a little amount of
detergent. Brewing chamber, decander and
lid of decander can be washed at the upper
shelf of the dishwasher or under running
water.
AWARNING: Do not wash the water
boiler (2) in dishwasher.
8. Use a damp and soft cloth and a little
amount of soft cleaner in order to clean the
exterior of the appliance.
9. Place back the brewing chamber (12) into
the brewing room (11) and close the lid of
brewing room (14).
10. Place the water boiler (2) onto the body (5).
Place the decander (6) under brewing room
(11).

Dry the sheet metal surface where
the decander is placed, and the
outer surface of the decander with
a soft cloth or a paper towel before
starting to use the appliance after
cleaning it.
4.2 Cleaning mode
Use cleaning mode before using different kinds
of tea and after every 10 to 15 brewing. The fa-
ilure of using cleaning mode may result in poor
flowing of brewed tea from brewing chamber or
system clogging problems.
1. Plug in the power cable to outlet.
2. Bring On/Off button (10) to "I" position.
CWater boiler, brewing chamber and
decander must be in place in order
to perform cleaning procedure.
CDecander and brewing chamber
must be discharged and the water
boiler must be filled before opera-
ting the cleaning mode.
3. Touch "Type " symbol for 3 seconds

"Type " symbol and keep your hand pres-
sed on it after activating cleaning mode, the
appliance makes cleaning by applying water
by pressure. This period is maximum 30 se-
conds.

4 Cleaning
4.2.1 Descaling
CYou can use apple cider vinegar
and citric acid for descaling pro-
cess.
Fill in the water boiler (2) with water up to
the minimum level line.
CMixing rate: Add apple cider vine-
gar or citric acid to the water insi-
de the water boiler at a rate of 1/4.
2. After the mixture is filled into the water boi-
ler, adjust the temperature to 99°C and boil
the mixture.
Let the mixture wait for about min. 5 minutes.
4. Perform cleaning steps in section 4.2.
5. Discharge the water with vinegar remained
inside the water boiler (2) and decander (6).
6. Fill cold and clean potable water to the wa-
ter boiler (2) and perform the cleaning steps
in section 4.2.
7. Appliance will be ready to brew tea after it
is rinsed with fresh water.
8. Discharge the water remained inside the
decander (6) and water boiler (2). Descaling
process is over.
4.3 Storage
•If you do not intend to use the appliance for a
long time, please store it carefully.
•Please make sure that the appliance is unp-
lugged, cooled down and totally dry.
•Store the appliance in a cool and dry place.
•Keep the appliance out of the reach of child-
ren.


