1. "Mode" button:2settings(NormalandGentle).ThedefaultmodeisNormal.Whenthefoodiscrumbly,
pressthebuttontochangethemodetoGentle.Youcanmanuallycontrolthedegreeofvacuumbypressing
“Seal”buttonatanytime,thefoodwillbesealedautomatically.Gentlemodeisuseforcookies,marshmallows,
andotherfragileitems.
(Note:ifthepowerisinterrupted,thissettingwillreturntoapresetstandardmode).
2. "Food" button: 2settings(DryandMoist).ThedefaultmodeisDry.Pressthebutton,changestoMoist
mode.Youcanchoosethemodeaccordingtothefoodtype.(Approximaterecommendedintervalsare40
sec).

1. Putandflattentheopeningofthebaginthevacuumchamber,ensurethebagdoesnotcoverthevacuum
nozzle(Ifusingaroll,youneedtocutthesizeofthebagyouneed,andsealonesidefirstbeforecontinuing).
NOTE:Placebaginthevacuumchamberaccurately,oritwillnotbeabletovacseal.
2. Pressthecoverdownuntilyouheara“click”sound,whichindicatesthelockinghookslockedcorrectly,
thenchoosevacuumorseal.
NOTE:The"click"soundisloudandyourhandscanfeelthebucklesarelocked.
3. Click“VacSeal”button,themachinewillstartvacuuming.Afterthevacuum,the“Seal”LEDlight.Itshows
themachineissealingautomatically.ThedefaultmodeisDry.Whenthelightdisappears,youcouldchoose

PRESERVATION WITH VACUUM CANISTER
1. Connecttheconnectoraccessoryonthevacuumoutletandouterstorage(storagebagsorcontainers)
2. Keeppressingthevacuumoutletpowerbutton,untilyoufeelthevacuumstatuswerecomplete.Then
removeyourfingeronthebutton.
3. Whenvacuumfinishes,removetheconnectoronthemachineandouterstorage.
Note: Pleasedonotlockthelidwhenyouarenotusingthemachineasitwillcausethegasketdeformation.
How to use vacuum canister and stopper
1. Placethefoodinavacuumcanister.
2. Pluginthepowersupplyfirst,andthenpressthelocksbyhands,theindicatorlightsup(thedefaultis
Dry).
3. Puttheitemsinsidethecanisterandcoveritwiththelid,insertoneendofthehoseintotheSuckAirHole
ontheappliance,theninserttheotherendintotheholeonthetopofthecanisterlid.
4. Pressthe"Canister"buttonor"VacSeal"button,itbeginstodrawtheairfromthecanisterandcreatesa
tightseal.Keeppressingthevacuumoutletpowerbutton,untilyoufeelthevacuumstatuswerecomplete.
Thenremoveyourfingeronthebutton.
5. Unplugoneendofthehosefromthecanisterfirst,thenunplugtheotherendfromtheappliance.When
thestoreditemsexpireorneedtoberemovedfromthecanister,pleasepressdownthebuttoninthecenter
ofthecanisterlidtodeflatetheair,thenopenthecanisterafterafewseconds.

TIPS ON USING CANISTER:
Pleaseremovethelidbeforeyouputthecanisterinmicrowaveoven.
Placethecanisterinrefrigeratorforbetterpreservation.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Donotoperateorstoretheapplianceinhumidorwetareasoroutdoors.ThisapplianceisNOTintended
foruseinboatsormovingvehicles.Donotuseanyaccessories,attachments,consumables,andspareparts
(e.g.foils,bags,vacuumcontainers),whicharenotrecommendedbythemanufacturer.Donotoperatethe
appliance,whentheapplianceoranypartofitislikelytobedamaged.Damagedorunsuitedpartscould
causeinjuriesanddamageduetooverheating,implosion,andelectricshock.
2. Beforeeachoperation,ensurethatthevacuumchamberiscompletelyempty.Alwaysensurethatthe
vacuumpumpwillnotbesunkinanyliquids.ImmediatelycanceltherunningprocessbypressingtheSTOP
buttonifliquidsaresuckedin.
3. Operatetheapplianceonawellaccessible,stable,level,dryandsuitablelargetable,orcounter.During
operation,pleasekeeptheapplianceinanappropriatedistanceofatleast10cmoneachside.Keepatleast
50cmoffreespaceinfrontandabovetheapplianceforfreeaccess.
4. Donotplaceanyclothesortissueorotherobjectsunderorontheapplianceduringoperation,toavoid
riskoffire,electricshock,andoverheating.Donotplacetheapplianceoranypartofitonornearhot
surfaces(e.g.burner,heater,range,oroven).
5. Keepinmindthattheheatingbarandsealingbarwillgethotduringoperation.Donottouchtheheating
barandsealingbarwithyourhandsoranydelicateobjectsshortlyafteroperation.
6. Thevacuumsealerisintendedforvacuumingandsealingthedesignatedbags,andvacuumcontainersonly.
Insufficientordamagedvacuumcontainersmayburst(implode)whenvacuumed,leadingtoahighriskof
injuriesanddamageaccordingtosplintersandsplashesflyingaround.Beforevacuuming,vacuumcontainers
alwayscheckthecontainersforanytypeofdamage(e.g.cracks,distortions,ordents).Unsuitedfoils,and
bagscouldcauseoverheating,andfire,orstickdowntothesealingorheatingbar.Donotoverfillthebagsor
containerstoavoiddamageandoverheating.Donotplaceanyforeignobjectsintotheappliance.Always
handleanyvacuumedcontainerswithspecialcaretoavoidinjuriesanddamageduetoimplosion,hurling
splinters,andsplashesallabout.Donotexposevacuumedcontainerstoheatormechanicalorthermalshock
ordirectsunlight.
7. Riskofexplosionandfire!Donotsealorvacuumcontainersorbagswithfilledwithanyinflammable
substances(e.g.alcoholicdrinksorfood,organicsolvents)!

HELPFUL HINTS
1. Donotoverfullthebags,leaveenoughlengthattheopeningofthebagsothatitcanbeplacedinthe
vacuumchambereasily.
2. Ensurethattheopeningthebagisnotwet.Awetbagmaybedifficulttomeltandsealtightly.
3. Vacuumsealcannotcompletelyreplacetherefrigerationandfreeze.Perishablefoodsstillneedtobe
refrigeratedorfrozen.
4. Maketheopeningofplasticbagscleanandflat,noforeignobjectsorfoldsallowed,otherwiseitwillcause
difficultyorleakduringseal.
5. Topreventwrinklesinasealwhenvacuumsealingbulkyitems,gentlystretchbagflatwhileinsertinginto
thevacuumchamberandholdituntilthepumpbeginstowork.
6. Whenyouarevacuumsealingitemswithsharpedges(dryspaghetti,silverwareetc.),protectthebagfrom
puncturesbywrappingiteminsoftcushioningmaterial,suchastissuepaper,youmayneedacanisteror
containerinsteadofabag.
7. Whenusingaccessories,remembertoleave2.5CM(1‐inch)ofspaceattopofcanisterorcontainer.
8. Pre‐freezefruitsandblanchvegetablesbeforevacuumsealingforthebestresults.
9. Intervalsfor40secondsaftersealorvacuumisrecommended.
10. Ifyouareunsurewhetheryourbagwassealedproperly,justresealthebag.
CARE AND CLEANING
1. Alwaysunplugtheunitbeforecleaning.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Nothing happens when you try to vacuum package
1. Checkifthepowercordistightlypluggedintoelectricaloutlet.
2. Checkifthepowercordisdamaged.
3. Checkifelectricaloutletisworkingbyplugginginanotherappliance.
4. Makesurethelatchesareinthelockedposition.
5. MakesurebagisplacedcorrectlyinsideVacuumChamber.
6. Allowtheappliancetocoolfor40secondsbeforeusingitagain.

AIR IS STILL IN THE BAG AFTER

2. AIRISSTILLINTHEBAGAFTERVACUUM:Examinethebagwhetheritleaks.Fillbagwithair,then
immerseitinwaterandapplypressure.Pleaseuseanewbagifbubblesappear,whichshowsaleak.
3. Pleasecheckthesealofbag.Awrinkleinthebagalongthesealmaycauseleakageandallowairto
re‐enter,justcutbag,andreseal.
4. TheBelifubagsaremanufacturedwithspecialsideseams.DonotattempttomakethesideseamsforBag
byyourself,becauseitmaycauseleakageandallowairtore‐enter.

2. Sometimesmoistureorfoodmaterial(suchasjuices,grease,crumbs,powders,etc.)alongsealprevents
bagfromsealingproperly.Cutbag,wipetopinsideofandreseal.
3. Ifyouvacuumpackagesharpfooditems,bagmayhavebeenpunctured,useanewbagifthereisahole.
Coversharpfooditemswithasoftcushioningmaterial,suchasatissuepaper,andreseal.
4. Ifthere’sairstillinthebag,fermentation,orthereleaseofnaturalgasesfrominsidethefoodsmayhave
occurred,whenthishappens,foodmayhavebeguntospoilandshouldbediscarded.
5. Vegetablesandfruitsthataretoofreshbelongtogreenplants,whichemitphotosynthesisbythemselves.
Fermentedproductsalsoemitgasbythemselves.Thesetwotypesoffoodarenotsuitableforvacuumsealing
andwillswellinternally.
6. Trynottovacuumsealthefreshlyheatedingredients,becausethetemperatureistoohigh.Theheated
fooditselfislargewhenvacuumsealing.Aftertemperatureiscooled,causedthevolumetobecomesmaller,
whichcausestheoriginaltightening.Theingredientshavebecomeloose,likealeak.
7. Thebagisfilledtoomuchduringvacuumsealing,andthebagmouthisnotflattened,resultinginagap
afterthebagissqueezedandsqueezed.
11. Afterthevacuumsealingiscompleted,thesealingstripmustbealine,whichissmoothandcorrect.If
thebagisnotplacedproperly,itwillformagap.Ifthereisagap,sealatthetoponcemore.
8. Ifthereisstillnovacuumafterlockingthemachine,butthesoundofvacuumcanbeheard.Thenitmight
beaproblemofdeformationofthespongestripcausedbylong‐termlockingbuckles.Thewholespongestrip
canbepulledupsidedownandputbacktore‐testorpressthemachinebyhandswhenthemachineis

Ifthebagmelts,rubberlipmayhavebecometoohot,alwayswaitatleast5minutesforappliancetocool
downbeforeyouvacuumpackageanotheritem.
CANNOT SEAL
1. Thefoodinfluence:Ifthefoodistoowettoseal,orthebagisthick,thenpleaseselect"Moist"mode,and
afterthevacuumsealing,pressthesealingbuttononcemore.
2. Theordinaryfoodcannotbesealed.Touchthepositionoftheheatingwireafterthesealing,ifthereisno
temperature,theheatingwirehasbeenburnedout.Donotoperatecontinuously.Allowtheappliancetocool
for40secondsbeforeusingitagain.Iftheheatingwireofthemachineisburntout,pleasecontactour
customerservice.
VACUUM SEALING AND FOOD SAFETY
Thevacuumsealingprocessextendsthelifeoffoodsbyremovingmostoftheairfromthesealedcontainer,
therebyreducingoxidation,whichaffectsnutritionalvalue,flavor,andoverallquality.
Removingaircanalsoinhibitgrowthofmicroorganisms,whichcancauseproblemsundercertainconditions:
Mold–Easilyidentifiedbyitsfuzzycharacteristic.Moldcannotgrowinalowoxygenenvironment;
therefore,vacuumsealingcanslowthegrowthofmold.
Yeast–Resultsinfermentation,whichcanbeidentifiedbysmellandtaste.Yeastneedswater,sugar,anda
moderatetemperaturetogrow.Itcausesalsosurvivewithorwithoutair.Slowingthegrowthofyeast
requiresrefrigeration,whilefreezingstopsitcompletely.
Bacteria–Resultsinanunpleasantodor,discolorationand/orsoftorslimytexture.Undertheright
conditions,anaerobicbacteriasuchasClostridiumBotulinum(theorganismthatcausesBotulism)cangrow
withoutairandsometimescannotbedetectedbysmellortaste.Althoughitisextremelyrare,itcanbevery
dangerous.
Topreservefoodssafely,itiscriticalthatyoumaintainlowtemperatures.Youcansignificantlyreducethe
growthofmicroorganismsattemperaturesof40°F(4°C)orbelow.Freezingat0°F(‐17°C)doesnotkill
microorganismsbutstopsthemfromgrowing.Forlong‐termstorage,alwaysfreezeperishablefoodsthat
havebeenvacuumsealed,andkeeprefrigeratedafterthawing.
ItisimportanttonotethatvacuumsealingisNOTasubstituteforcanning,anditcannotreversethe
deteriorationoffoods.Itcanonlyslowdownthechangesinquality.Itisdifficulttopredicthowlongfoods
willretaintheirtop‐qualityflavor,appearance,ortexturebecauseitdependsonageandconditionofthefood

Thawing and Reheating Vacuum - Sealed Foods
Alwaysthawfoodsineitherrefrigeratorormicrowave‐donotthawperishablefoodsatroom
temperature.
ToreheatfoodsinamicrowaveinaBelifuBag,alwayscutcornerofthebagbeforeplacingitona
microwave‐safedish.However,toavoidhotspots,donotreheatbone‐inmeatorgreasyfoodsinmicrowave
withinaBelifuBag.YoucanalsoreheatfoodsinBelifuBagsbyplacingtheminwateratalowsimmerbelow
170°F(75°C).
Preparation Guidelines for Hard Cheeses:
Tokeepcheesefresh,vacuumsealitaftereachuse.MakeyourBelifuBagextra‐long,allowingoneinchofbag
materialforeachtimeyouplantoopenandresealinadditiontothe3‐inchroomyounormallyleavebetween
contentsandseal.Simplycutsealededgeandremovecheese.Whenyouarereadytoresealthecheese,just
dropitinbagandreseal.
IMPORTANT:Duetotheriskofanaerobicbacteria,Softcheesesshouldneverbevacuumsealed.
Preparation Guidelines for Meat and Fish:
Forbestresults,pre‐freezemeatandfishfor1‐2hoursbeforevacuumsealinginaBelifuBag.Thishelps
retainthejuiceandshapeandguaranteesabetterseal.
Ifitisnotpossibletopre‐freeze,placeafoldedpapertowelbetweenmeatorfishandtopofbag,but
belowsealarea.Leavepapertowelinbagtoabsorbexcessmoistureandjuicesduringvacuumsealing
process.

spoilage.
Preparation Guidelines for Vegetables:
Vegetablesneedtobeblanchedbeforevacuumsealing.Thisprocessstopstheenzymeactionthatcould
leadtolossofflavor,color,andtexture.
Toblanchvegetables,placetheminboilingwaterorinthemicrowaveuntiltheyarecooked,butstillcrisp.

Blanchingtimesrangefrom1to2minutesforleafygreensandpeas;3to4minutesforsnappeas,sliced
zucchini,orbroccoli;5minutesforcarrots;and7to11minutesforcornonthecob.Afterblanching,immerse
vegetablesincoldwatertostopthecookingprocess.Finally,dryvegetablesonatowelbeforevacuumsealing.
Note:Allvegetables(includingbroccoli,brusselssprouts,cabbage,cauliflower,kale,turnips)naturallyemit
gasesduringstorage.Therefore,afterblanching,theymustbestoredinfreezeronly

Preparation Guidelines for Fruits:
Whenfreezingsoftfruitsorberries,itisbesttopre‐freezethemfor1‐2hoursoruntilsolidlyfrozen.To
freezefruitinindividualservings,firstplaceonabakingsheetandspreadthemoutsotheyarenottouching.
Thispreventsthemfromfreezingtogetherinablock.Oncetheyarefrozen,removefrombakingsheetand

Problem Solution
Seal LED Flashing • Unit is overheated. Always allow 20 seconds between seals. Under heavy usage,
appliance will shut off automatically and Red Light will flash. Wait for 20 min. for
unit to cool off.
• Always wait 40 seconds between seals.
•Vacuum pump running more than 120 seconds. Under heavy usage, appliance will
shut off automatically and Red Light will flash. See next section Vacuum Pump is
running, but bag is not evacuating.

• If making a bag from a roll, make sure one end of bag is sealed. See How to
Make a Bag from a Vacuum Sealing Roll.
• Adjust the bag and try again. Make sure the open end of the bag in down inside
the vacuum channel.
• Check for wrinkles in bag along Sealing Strip. To prevent wrinkles in the seal,
gently stretch bag flat while inserting bag into Vacuum Channel.
• Open unit and make sure Gaskets are inserted properly and there are no foreign
objects, dirt, or debris on the Upper or Lower Gasket (See Care and Cleaning).
• Latch has been left in OPERATE position: Gaskets may be compressed.
Unlatch and allow 10 to 20 minutes for Gaskets to expand.
• Make sure the accessory hose is not attached to accessory port.
• Make sure the lid is latched down all the way. If the Latch does not catch the lid
and bring it down, there will be a leak between the Gaskets.
Gasket is loose or
has a tear
• Take out the gasket, clean it and reinsert the Gasket into the Vacuum Channel
(See Care and Cleaning).
• Contact us for replacement.
Bag is not sealing
properly
Too much liquid in bag, freeze before vacuuming.
• Check for food debris around seal area. If present, take out the gasket, clean it
and reinsert the Gasket into the Vacuum Channel (See Care and Cleaning).
• Bag has wrinkles: To prevent wrinkles in the seal, gently stretch bag flat while
inserting bag into Vacuum Channel.
No lights on the
control panel
•Make sure unit is plugged in.
• Make sure wall outlet is functional.

Cannot insert bag
into machine
• Make sure there is enough bag material to reach center of drip tray.
•Always allow three inches (7.62 mm) extra space to allow the bag to seal tightly
around food contents.
• Gently stretch bag flat while inserting. Insert bag CURL DOWN into Vacuum
Channel.
Air was removed
from the bag, but
now air has
re-entered
Examine the seal. A wrinkle along the seal may cause air to re-enter the bag. To
prevent wrinkles in the seal, gently stretch bag flat while inserting bag into
Vacuum Channel.
• Sometimes moisture or food material (such as juices, grease, crumbs, powders,
etc.) along seal prevents bag from sealing properly. Cut bag open, wipe top inside
of bag and reseal.
• Sharp food items may have punctured bag. Use a new bag if there is a hole.
Cover sharp food items with a soft cushioning material, such as a paper towel, and
reseal.
• Fermentation or the release of natural gases from inside the foods may have
occurred. When this happens, food may have begun to spoil and should be
discarded.
Bag melts Sealing Strip may have become too hot. Always wait at least 20 seconds for
appliance to cool down before you vacuum seal another item.
• Use Belifu brand bags. Our Bags and Rolls are specially designed for units.
