Belkin networking presents the 54g Wireless G Universal Range
Extender/Access Point. The 54g WURE connects to your network
router/switch and lets you join your wireless-equipped PCs to your
wired network. It is based on the 54g technology that makes wireless
file transfers and downloads faster than ever before. 54g technology
provides you with networking speeds nearly five times faster than the
older Wi-Fi (802.11b) standard. Using the WURE as a range extender
the WURE can also increase your network’s coverage area. Once
you’ve done the simple setup, you can share data and peripherals, as
well as a single Internet account among all your computers, without
wires!
Wireless Range Extender Mode
For Wireless Routers
The Belkin Wireless G Universal Range Extender increases the coverage
area of virtually any existing wireless network with the push of a button. It
does this by taking an 802.11b/g signal and retransmitting it across a wider
coverage area. Designed for easy setup and operation, this product works
seamlessly with the majority of routers and access points available today.
Note: To extend your wireless range you must already have a wireless router.
Wireless Access Point Mode
When used in access point mode and connected to a wired router/switch, the
Range Extender adds wireless capability to an existing network. This allows
you to expand Internet access throughout a home or small offi ce without
running cumbersome Ethernet cables between computers.
