Getting to Know Your
PizzaMaker
Congratulations on the purchase of your new
PizzaMaker.
Before rst using your new appliance, it is most
importantthatyoureadandfollowtheinstructions
inthisuseandcarebooklet,evenifyoufeelyou
arefamiliarwiththistypeofappliance.
Yourattentionisdrawnparticularlytothesection
dealing with IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a
safe and convenient place to keep this booklet
handyforfuturereference.
This appliance has been designed to operate
from a standard domestic power outlet. It is not
intendedforindustrialorcommercialuse.
BeforeUsingForTheFirst
Time
1. CarefullyunpackthePizzaMakerandremove
allpackagingandmaterials.
2. BeforeusingyourPizzaMakerforthersttime,
wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth
toremove alldust, and thendry. Wipeouter
surfaces with a slightly damp, soft cloth or
sponge.
CAUTION: Take care to prevent water from
runningintotheappliance.NEVERIMMERSEPIZZA
MAKERBODYINWATERORANYOTHERLIQUIDS!
3. Set the appliance on a dry, clean and at
surface.KeepthePizzaMakercloseduntiluse.
CAUTION: It maybe have steam release from
cookingpot when theappliance is inoperation
oropeningthelid.
How to Use Your Pizza
Maker
1. Usethelidhandletoliftthetoplidtotheopen
position.
2. Before baking the rst pizza of the day, pour
a teaspoon of vegetable oil to both the top
andbottomplates.Spreadwithanabsorbent
kitchentowelandwipeoffanyexcessoil.
3. PlugthePizzaMakerintoastandarddomestic
poweroutlettopreheat.Thepowerindicator
lightwillilluminate.Closethelid.
NOTE: When your Pizza Maker is heated
for the rst time, it may emit slight
smoke or odor. This is normal and
should disappear after 1 or 2 uses.
This does not affect the safety of the
appliance. However, as it may affect
the avor of the rst pizza prepared in
the Pizza Maker, it is recommended that
these be discarded.
4. Whilepreheating,preparethepizza.
5. Afterapproximately2to3minutes,theReady
indicatorlightwillturnon,indicatingtheunitis
preheatedandisreadyforuse.
6. Recipes may vary in cooking time and
brownness;freshpizzawillbrownquickerthan
frozenpizza. Note theperfect bake times for
eachpizzarecipeforfutureuse.
7. WhenthePizzaMakerispreheated,following
the recipe. Place the pizza directly onto the
cookingplate.
8.Usethehandletolowerthetoplid.
9.Close thePizzaMakerandallow tocookfor
approximately 25 minutes or until cheese is
meltedandcrustisgolden.
NOTE: Check for doneness by inserting
a dry toothpick into the center of the
pizza. If it comes out dry, the pizza is
ready.

10. Ifnecessary,continuecookingbybroilingfor
1or2minutes,oruntilcheesebubbles.
11. The READY light will cycle on and off as the
unitmaintainsbakingtemperatures.
12. Wearing oven mitts, wipe the outside with
a clean paper towel or cleaning cloth if
necessary.
13. Attheendofthecooktime,usethehandle
toliftthetoplid.
14. Wearing oven mitts, remove the pizza from
thecookingplateusinganon-metallicutensil.
NOTE: If additional pizza is to be baked,
keep the Pizza Maker closed to retain
heat. Always wait until the Ready
indicator light turns on before baking
more pizza.
NOTE: Pizza made later may bake faster
because extra heat has been retained.
It may be necessary to adjust to a
shorter cooking time to accommodate.
15. Whenbakingiscomplete,unplugthepower
cord from electric outlet. Lift the top lid to
expose the cooking plate and allow unit to
cool.
16. Remove baked pizza; Cut into slices and
serveimmediately.
17.Donotcleanuntilunithasbeenfullycooled.
Care&Cleaning
CAUTION: Unplug from electrical outlet and
allowtocoolthoroughlybeforecleaning.
1. The Pizza Maker does not disassemble for
cleaning.
2. Never immerse appliance in water or other
liquids. Never place the Pizza Maker in
dishwasher.
3. Brushcookingplateswithaclean,softpastry
brushorcloth.Toconditionplates,lightlycoat
the cooking surfaces with solid vegetable
shortening or vegetable oil. Carefully follow
suggestedcleaningproceduresbelow.Aftera
time,ifpizzashowsignsofsticking,recondition
asneeded.
4. To protect the premium quality non-stick
surfaces, use only plastic, nylon or wooden
utensils.
5. To remove any pizza batter baked onto
the cooking plates, pour a small amount of
cooking oil onto the hardened batter. Allow
tosetfor5minutes,thenwipesoftenedbatter
off with a paper towel or soft cloth. Remove
stubbornstainswithaplasticmeshpufforpad.
A clean round kitchen brush or a toothbrush
works well to remove baked-on batter from
the molds. For best results, use only products
with directions stating they are safe for
cleaning non-stick cooking surfaces. Do not
usesteelwoolorcoarsescouringpads.
6. The exterior nish should be cleaned with a
non-abrasivecleanerandasoft,dampcloth.
Drythoroughly.

StoringInstructions
1. Makesureunitisunpluggedandfullycooled.
2. Closethelid.
WARNING: Never store Pizza Maker while it
is hot or still plugged in.
3. UsethecordwraponthebottomofthePizza
Makertostorethecord.
4. Do not put any stress on the cord where it
enters unit, as this could cause cord to fray
andbreak.
5. StorePizzaMakerinitsboxorstandunitonits
endforeasyandcompactstorage.
