PRESSURE CHEF OPERATION
4
• The lid (3) has a safety lock pin. The cooker will not start until the lid is closed and locked in place.
Place the lid (1) onto the outer body (7) and lock
into place by turning the “lock” triangle on the
front of the lid towards the triangular alignment
notch on the outer body.
The safety lock pin will depress when the lid is
properly closed.
The LED display on the control panel (8) shows
the amount of pressure that is being used in psi
(Pounds per Square Inch) and also shows when
the pressure is being released.
The pressure regulator (2) is used to release
pressure instantly.
WARNING:
Take care when releasing pressure with the
pressure regulator, as hot steam will escape and
can cause severe burns.

5
BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove any packing materials and labels from your electric pressure cooker. Be sure to remove cook
pot and check for parts.
Be sure that all of the products parts are included before you dispose of the packing materials.
However, you may want to store the box and packing material to use at a later time.
Before you use your PRESSURE CHEF for the first time, wipe the cooker clean with a damp cloth. Clean
the lid and the removable pot. The cooking pot can be cleaned with warm soapy water. Do not put the
removable pot in the dishwasher. Rinse with clean water, towel/air dry, and place it into the PRESSURE
CHEF.
The seal gasket may already be installed on the lid, if not, make sure that it is installed properly on the
lid as shown below:
NOTE: You can remove and clean the seal gasket after cooking. You can clean the seal gasket with
warm soapy water. Make sure that it is completely dry before inserting it back into the lid.

USING YOUR PRESSURE CHEF
There are 12 settings that you can use on the PRESSURE CHEF. All settings have preset times and preset
pressure. You can choose one of the preset times, or, if you want something in between the preset times
or for much longer, you are able to change times by pressing the “Pressure Time +” or “Pressure Time –“
button repeatedly to achieve the desired time. You can also adjust the pressure level and temperature
by pressing the “Adjust” button.
The PRESSURE CHEF comes with the following cooking options and times:
• Rice: 5, 8, 10 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Multigrain: 20, 40 minutes, 1 hour (Adjust Pressure)
• Porridge: 15, 20, 30 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Meat/Stew: 20, 35, 45 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Steam: 1, 3, 5 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Bean/Mince: 25, 30, 45 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Yoghurt: 8, 24 hours (Adjust Temperature)
• Soup: 20, 30, 40 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Poultry: 5, 15, 30 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Sauté: 30 minutes (no pressure, Adjust Temperature)
• Egg Maker: 1, 3, 5 minutes (Adjust Pressure)
• Slow Cook: up to 20 hours (Adjust Temperature)
• Pressure Time + / - : Up to 2 hours (You can also use this option to choose a time between the
preset times above and to adjust pressure)
• Keep Warm/Cancel: To keep food warm or cancel your settings and turn off the pressure cooker
• Adjust: To adjust either the pressure or temperature depending on the cooking setting
• Delay Timer: up to 24 hours
You are able to choose one of the preset times by pressing the button of the cooking option of your
choice repeatedly. For example, if you want to use one of the “Rice” preset cooking times, press the
“Rice” button and the preset cooking time of 8 minutes will show up on the cooking time display. If you
want to adjust to 10 minutes, you can press the “Rice” button again until you get to 10 minutes (it will
cycle through the preset times). Or if you want to adjust to 9 minutes, you can press on “Rice” and one
of the preset cooking times will show up on the cooking time display. Then press on the “Pressure Time
+” or “Pressure Time –“ button repeatedly until you get to 9 minutes. After you have set a time, you are
able to adjust the pressure level between “Low” and “High” by pressing the “Adjust” button and the
setting of either “Low” or “High” will light up. Low pressure is a range from 5-6 psi and high pressure is
a range from 12-13 psi.
NOTE:
The “Sauté” cooking option does not use pressure and does not require the lid. However, when using
this option you must never leave the PRESSURE CHEF unattended to prevent the food from burning.

7
USING YOUR PRESSURE CHEF
When all the parts are assembled properly, you are ready to start cooking with your PRESSURE CHEF.
1. To remove the lid (3), grasp the lid handle (1), turn clockwise and lift
2. Take the removable pot (6) from the pressure cooker and add food and liquids.
NOTE: Do not fill more than 60% of the capacity of the cooking pot. For food that expands, such as
dried vegetables and beans, you must not exceed 50% of the capacity of the pot. When cooking
with pressure, you must always use at least ½ cup of water
3. Put the removable pot back into the PRESSURE CHEF and place the lid on, lining it up with the drip
cup (5). To lock the lid in place turn it anticlockwise, which will line the lid up with the handle.
NOTE: When opening and closing the lid, there is a safety lock pin that disengages (protrudes out)
when you open the lid. When the lid is closed and locked, the safety lock pin will engage
(depresses in)
4. The pressure regulator (2) has two dots labelled “Steam” and “Pressure”. You can use these two
dots as guidelines for positioning the pressure regulator
5. Plug the PRESSURE CHEF into the wall outlet. The two LED displays will show --.-- You can use one
of the preset cooking options or set the cooking time yourself. If you decide to set a time yourself,
you can set the time by pressing on the “Pressure Time +” button repeatedly (or hold down for faster
time change) until you find the time you want. After you have set a time, quickly press the “Adjust”
button to set it to either a high or low pressure. High Pressure cooks the food at a range of 12-13 psi
and low pressure cooks the food at a range of 6-7 psi
6. Once you have adjusted the pressure, the PRESSURE CHEF will automatically start after 5 seconds
7. The PRESSURE CHEF will beep when there is enough heat and when pressure starts to build. Please
note that the timer does not start until there is enough heat and the pressure level has been reached.
The pressure light will blink and a pressure reading will be shown on the bottom display. During the
pressure cooking process, the PRESSURE CHEF should be fairly silent, however, if it makes some
noise and releases a lot of steam, carefully adjust the pressure regulator in either direction until the
steam and noise reduces. Throughout the cooking cycle, the pressure will fluctuate causing the
“Heating” light to go on and off. This is normal and is a safety feature
8. When the cooker is done, it will beep again. DO NOT REMOVE THE LID. There will still be pressure
inside the PRESSURE CHEF. You can either wait for the PRESSURE CHEF to slowly release the
pressure on its own (it will show on the LED display and beep when all the pressure has been
released) or you can release the pressure immediately by turning the pressure regulator on the lid.
NOTE: When turning the pressure regulator to release pressure, keep your hands and face as far
from the pressure regulator as possible to prevent injury or scalding from the steam that will be
released

8

(1) minute. Set the pressure regulator to “Pressure”
3. Once the pressure cooker is finished boiling or steaming the milk, take the removable pot or jars out
of the cooker and wait for the milk to cool down to 46° Celcius. After the milk has cooled down,
add your yoghurt or yoghurt starter to the milk and stir until there are no chunks
4. Place the removable pot back into the cooker or jars back on the steam rack and replace the lid. Set
the pressure regulator to “STEAM” and press the “Yoghurt” button. Quickly press “adjust” to change
the temperature to either 8 hours or 24 hours. The cooker will automatically start after 5 seconds
EGG MAKER
