Temperature Controlled Soldering Station
When using the soldering station for the first time, you are required to read the operation instructions
completely and carefully. In all the soldering work, you are supposed to obey the safety rules and
relating regulations.
GENERAL
This soldering station is an ideal soldering tool for an amateur fancier, school, car of electronics, and
for maintaining the service, producing with laboratory.
The soldering station is installed with electric soldering iron frame and the sponge for tidying up glue.
It is equipped with LCD digital temperature display which can display set temperature and factual
temperature simultaneously.
The housing has a compact design and provides good protection for built-in electronics.
The temperature is controlled by electronic circuit and electronic sensor.
Due the use of components with high efficency, the setting temperature is reached in a short time.
The electric soldering iron is supposed to work under safe and low electric voltage.
It has the precise function of regulating temperature, 1 degree or 10 degrees per grade can be
regulated through the temperature regulating button, also can control the temperature through 200℃,
300℃, 400℃button and there is a convert button to switch ℃/°F.
The temperature range can be adjusted between 150°C and 450°C
Due the compensating electric outlet can be protected sensitive components.
If the operating is interruption, this will be shown by a warning in display and by a sound.

SAFETY NOTES
The soldering station is only allowed to solder and unsolder the electrics and the electrons in the
printing electrical circuit and the models; tin the circuitry and the lead; connects the lead.
Only use soldering station when the components to be soldered are disconnected from power
supply. Caution when soldering of capacitors. Capacitors must be discharged before soldering.
Do not heat liquids (water, electrolyte, etc.) or heat plastics parts (it will form poisonous air and
cause fires) with soldering station.
Only the voltage and frequency marked on the data plate can be used by the soldering station.
A damaged soldering station is not allowed to be used again, and the power supply must be cut
off, in case that some one who don’t know that will use it.
Only be installed soldering station in the dry workshops to operate.
The soldering station in operation must be looked after by workers.
Keep soldering station out of children reach.
Do not use the soldering station under the wet circumstances or near the easily flaming or the
explosive materials or air.
You have to obey the corresponding regulation of safety protection, if the solder is used in the
industry.
If the soldering station is moved from the cold room to the warm room, the temperature will be
changed, which will cause the congealed water which will affect or damage the components of the
machine, please wait to solder until the temperature of the soldering station is the same with that
in the room.
Do not operate the soldering station under high temperature.
The temperature of the electric soldering irons can reach more than 160℃, do not touch the
electric soldering irons, risk of serious burn.
It is totally prohibited to put the electric soldering irons into the water in order to cold it.
Do not cover the fan opening of the soldering station.
Renew a damaged fuse only with a same characterized, it is prohibited to use a other
characterized.
Do not operate the soldering station if it is damage. For e.g. problems at insulations, damaged
housing, etc.
Do not open the soldering station. Maintenance and repair can only be done by trained personal
with strict training. Self-disassembly may result in the danger of electric shock.
APPLICATION
In order to guarantee the user’s safety and prevent the soldering station from being damaged, please
obey the safety hints and the warning signs in the operation instructions.
Tin the new soldering mouth when using the machine at first time. To do this, switch on the soldering
station, than thaw a little soldering tin into a thin film which can be affixed on the soldering mouth
when temperature reaches about 200°C.
The key to ensure the quality of soldering point is the proper soldering temperature. The soldering
temperature of electric components is from 300°C to 380°C. Too low temperature will lead to cold
soldering point while too high temperature will result in drop of the soldering preparation and rupture
of the jointing slot. Moreover too high temperature will also possibly lead to damage of circuitry (the
plating layer of the lead) and components. Before soldering, clean the soldering mouth directly with
the sponge so as to clean away the soldering.

CONNECTING
Please connect the electric soldering iron to the solder station.
Connect the plug of the electric iron lead (a diode plug with 5 conjunctions) into the electrical outlet on
the face of the soldering station.
Turn off the power supply switch to the 0 position, and inset the power supply plug of the soldering
station to the electrical jack whose voltage conforms with what is marked on the data plate. At this
time, the soldering station is ready for work.
OPERATION
To make soldering work perfect, you have to use the proper soldering rod and operate the soldering
station accurately. Electric soldering rod with colophony is advised to use.
In practice, alloy solder L-SN60PbCu2(German Industry Standard 8516 (60% tin (60/40 solder) is
mostly used. This solder has many soldering rod standards and 1mm soldering rod is advised to use
in electric.
1. Heat to working temperature (the soldering temperature regulated on the soldering station)
2. Put the soldering mouth which is cleaned and equably filmed with tin and the soldering rod
together on the soldering point. The soldering preparation will melt first to clean the surface of the
metal which needs soldering. Then the soldering tin melts so as to create relating conductive
connections. The soldering of electric components costs not more than 2 minutes. The well-
welded jointing point looks slick and lustrous after cooling. While the soldering point with bad
quality and many mistakes looks lusterless, uneven and easy to crack. The causes leading to
such result are as following: the improper solder is used or the soldering temperature is regulated
too high. Another familiar used last time and the higher line will display current temperature of the
electric iron.
3. The soldering temperature can be regulated from 150°C to 450°C in steps by means of two
regulating switches (up+/down-). The temperature will increase by100C every grade till the
demanded temperature is displayed.
4. It is also can push (200℃, 300℃, 400℃) button to set the value directly.
5. When the soldering temperature is regulated to a wanted number, the factual working temperature
will approach the set temperature gradually.
When the soldering station is turned off, the regulated temperature will be kept automatically. And
when you turn on the machine next time, this set temperature will be displayed automatically.
Once any malfunction happens for example the temperature sensor is damaged, or the connecting
lead between the electric iron and the soldering station is disconnected, the display will show
malfunction. Further, the piezoelectricity sensor inside will give out sound of alarm. In that situation,
shut down the machine immediately, switch off the power supply and look up possible cause resulting
in malfunction.
TEMPERATURE
Connect the soldering station to power and put the power supply switch to 1 position. The soldering
station now operates.
At this time the lower line on the screen will displayed a set temperature.
Push (up+) switch to increase the temperature.
Push (down-) switch to decrease the temperature.
Every time you press the switch, the temperature will be changed by 10°C.
If you press the switch continuously, the changing of regulating will go on.
MAINTENANCE
Only clean the soldering station with a dry soft cloth and a little bit of soft cleaner.
Please clean up the outer components after turning off the soldering station and cut off the power.
Renew a damaged fuse only with a same characterized, it is prohibited to use other characterized.
Do not open the soldering station. Maintenance and repair can only be done by trained personal with
strict training. Self-disassembly may result in the danger of electric shock.
