Careful use and handling
•Do not handle the device with
damp hands, as this could
cause a short-circuit.
•Do not use the device for
other applications than its
intended purpose.
•Do not hit, throw, bite, open or
burn the device.
•Keep the device in a dry place,
between the temperatures
of 5ºC and 40ºC.
Prolonged exposure to high
temperatures can affect the
stability of the battery.
•Disconnect the charger
once the device battery is
completely charged to avoid a
decrease in battery life cycle.
•Use the provided cable or
other similar connected
directly to a USB 5V output to
charge the device (the power
supply must be covered by
the UNE-EN60950-1:2007
normative). Using other kind
of power supply may damage
the device.

and the instructions before using the device. Failure to comply with
the recommendations of use will entail the guarantee cancellation.

while it is charging.

•If you notice that the device
emits strange smells or
noises or its temperature
is excessive, leave it in a
secluded place and call the
support team at Bitbrain.

Disposal of the device
Do not throw electric or
electronic devices in the trash!
According to the European
Directive 2012/19/UE on
waste electrical and electronic
equipment, computer
and telecommunication
equipment must be disposed
of separately for ecological
recycling.
Conformance and CE marking
This device complies with the
EU safety requirements (UNE-
EN 60950-1: 2007, EN55032
and EN55024). The CE mark
indicates compliance with the
corresponding directives of
the EU Council, which includes
EMC Directive 2004/108/EC.

A wearable and wireless device that measures, with high reliability,
skin conductivity (electrodermal activity), blood pulse volume
(cardiovascular activity), and movement.
These physiological signals provide information on the emotional
intensity and impact generated by different stimuli, which are
utilized in publicity, branding, product testing, packaging, UX, CX
studies.

Turn the device on by pressing
the power button ( ) for a few
seconds, until the light blinks.
The wireless connection LED
will ash until the connection is
established with the software.
The LED will then be steady on.
When the battery device is low,
the battery indicator LED ( )
will turn on.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the
device while charging. It is
not recommended to start a
recording with low battery.
This can affect the quality of
the recorded signal.
Pairing
Be sure the computer has
a Bluetooth adapter. It is
necessary to carry out a
pairing procedure with the
computer before using it for
the rst time. This procedure
can be accomplished from the
Windows Control Panel.
The name of the device

Follow the steps described below to set up the device.

Disconnect the charging cable
from the device.

Unfasten the band at the back
of the device.

Place the device upwards, so
that the sensors face up, as
shown in the picture.

Place the index ngertip on the
cardiovascular activity sensor
(B), completely covering it.

Place the index and middle
ngers on the device. Ensure
that the ngers touch the
electrodermal activity
sensors (A).

Fasten the band. The device
must be comfortably fastened
to the user’s ngers.
Make sure that the ngers
are apart from each other, as
shown in the picture.

Signal acquisition

The software screen depicts
the physiological signal
acquired by the device in real
time.
The color of the sensors
indicates the quality of the
contact with the skin. Quality
depends directly on the
placement.

Maintenance
Please remember to clean the device after each use.
Conservation
•Keep the product in its
original packaging while not
in use.
•If you are storing the device
for long period of time
(several months or weeks),
it is recommended that the
battery is not 100% charged.
This can degrade the battery
and result in capacity loss,
which causes a decrease in
the autonomy of the device.
Cleaning the device
•Clean and dry the device
frequently, especially the
sensors.
•We recommend to dampen
a cloth with water or a small
amount of alcohol, and gently
wipe the device.
Very important
•Do not use strong or abrasive
disinfectants to clean the
product.
•Read carefully the
instructions on the use of a
disinfectant solution. When
selecting a cleaning product,
conrm its effectiveness
and compatibility with the
material.
