OVERVIEW
Monitor three outside doors from as many as five different
inside locations with the Video Sentry Color Tilt Phone System.
When a visitor approaches one of your outside doors, a
Door Station (KB-DAR) with “instant on“ audio and video
activates itself and chimes a preselected two, four, or eight
times to alert you to check the monitor of your Main or Sub
Room Station (KB-3MRD or KB-3HRD). A clear, sharp video
image shows who’s outside. Lift the handset to speak with
your visitor, who can respond to you via the Door Station’s
hands-free speakerphone. With the touch of a phone button,
you can unlock the door.
Install a Main Room Station at a central location, and
position as many as four more Sub Room Stations where you
need them. Each Main Room and Sub Room Station has a 4"
flat color LCD. The farthest Sub Room Station can be up to
328 feet (100 m) from the Main Room Station. If you have
four Sub Room Stations, you can substitute an Audio-Only
Sub Room Handset (KB-3SB) at one of the locations.
Each station enables you to selectively call another station.
You also can press the All Call button to communicate simulta-
neously with all stations.
Other easy-to-use controls enable you to activate a
station’s monitor and set its volume and brightness controls.
You also can tilt the Door Station’s CCD chip camera up and
down to gain a better view of your visitor. You can open all
the doors at once or you can specify which door to unlock
with the optional Selective Door-Release Adapter (RY-3DL).
The system also offers a range of optional attachments.
The Picture Memory Unit (KC32EU), for example, enables you
to keep a record of visitors and events. The Stainless Steel
Housing (KA-DGR-PANEL) provides added protection for the
Door Station. Specially made Deskstands (MCW-S and MCW-
2S) save space and enhance the value and convenience of
the system.
Get the system that’s right for your application:
For an internal audio-video or audio-only station, order:
• Main Room Station (KB-3MRD)
• Sub Room Station (KB-3HRD)
• Audio-Only Sub Room Handset (KB-3SB).
To place an integrated video camera and speakerphone
at an entryway, order the Door Station (KB-DAR).
You will need one 24-VDC Power Supply (PS-2420UL)
for every two stations.
You may also need optional attachments, including the
Picture Memory Unit (KC-32EU), Selective Door-Release
Adapter (RY-3DL), and others.

Recognize any of these situations?
• You wait more than 30 minutes to get through
to a vendor’s tech support.
• The so-called “tech” can’t help you or gives you
the wrong answer.
• You don’t have a purchase order number and the
tech refuses to help you.
• It’s 9 p.m. and you need help, but your vendor’s
tech support line is closed.
According to a survey by Data Communications
magazine, 90% of network managers surveyed say
that getting the technical support they need is extremely
important when choosing a vendor. But even though
network managers pay anywhere from 10 to 20% of their
overall purchase price for a basic service and support
contract, the technical support and service they receive
falls far short of their expectations—and certainly isn’t
worth what they paid.
At Black Box, we guarantee the best value and the
best support. You can even consult our Technical Support
Experts before you buy if you need help selecting just
the right component for your application.
Don’t waste time and money—call Black Box today.
