Please note: The clim8®module (rated IP67) is dustproof and waterproof to a depth of

Keep these important instructions for future reference.
Please read the operating instructions carefully.
• Do not use with a helpless person, an infant or a person
insensitive to heat.
• Please consult your doctor before using the Smart Heated Vest
if you have problems sensing hot or cold objects (e.g., diabetics,
disabled persons, Raynaud’s, etc.).
• People with a heart pacemaker, metal implants or insulin pump
should rst consult with their doctor before using the Smart
Heated Vest.
• Excessive heat levels over prolonged periods can lead to burns.
• Check the device regularly for signs of wear or damage. If you
notice any of these signs, if the device was used improperly or if
the device does not work, bring it back to the dealer before using
it again.
• Not suitable for children under the age of 36 months.
• The Smart Heated Vest can be used by children older than 3
years and younger than 8 years under supervision and with the
control always set to minimum temperature value.
• Children may only use the Smart Heated Vest under the
supervision of an adult.
• Not intended to be used to warm animals.
• Only use the supplied charger to charge the device. It is designed
for indoor use and must not be exposed to humidity.
• Do not wear the Smart Heated Vest during the charging process.
• Do not insert any metal or other objects into sockets or plugs
because this can damage the Smart Heated Vest.
• If the charging cables or any other parts of the Smart Heated Vest
are damaged, discontinue the use of the Smart Heated Vest.
• Do not modify the product or divert it from its intended use.
• Not intended for medical use in hospitals.
• Never use if inner liner is wet.
• It is not recommended to use the Smart Heated Vest with an
avalanche transceiver.
• The Smart Heated Vest must only be operated with the supplied
battery.
• Do not sleep with your Smart Heated Vest while it is still switched
on.
• Examine the Smart Heated Vest frequently. Return to the supplier
if has been misused.
• If the temperature sensors are damaged, return the Smart
Heated Vest to the store or website from which you purchased it
prior to any further use.
HOW TO USE THE SMART HEATED VEST
FIRST USE AND CHARGING THE BATTERIES
Important note: charge the batteries prior to rst use.
1 Plug the charger into the wall and connect the cable to the
batteries. When charging, the light on the charger will turn RED.
2 Once the batteries are fully charged, the charging process
automatically ends and the charge indicator changes back to
GREEN. Please disconnect the batteries from the charger.
3 Open the inside pocket of the Smart Heated Vest and plug the
battery to the connector.
Batteries cannot be charged when connected to the Smart
Heated Vest.
HOW TO SWITCH AC PLUGS:
1 Push and hold the button next to the plug while turning the plug
slightly.
2 Remove the plug.
3 Install the correct plug by inserting it slightly turned clockwise.
4 Turn the plug clockwise until you hear a click
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Check to make sure that the batteries are properly connected
with your Smart Heated Vest (plug locked into place).
• Always set your Smart Heated Vest to your initial reference
temperature to maintain a comfortable temperature.
TURN SMART HEATED VEST ON/OFF:
To turn your Smart Heated Vest on/off, simply connect/disconnect
the batteries.
HEAT SETTINGS AND BATTERY LIFE
You can manually adjust the heat on your phone directly within the
clim8®app.
Battery life depends on the select-ed/calibrated temperature, your
prole, your activity, ambient temperature and weather conditions
as well as their state of charge.
DRYING AND CLEANING
Please make sure to remove the battery before cleaning the
Smart Heated Vest. Batteries should never be immersed.

• Before washing your Smart Heated Vest, put the cap on the
battery connector’s head and close the zipper pocket.
• On your washing machine, please select a delicate wash cycle
(40°C / 1000rpm maximum).
• When drying, be sure to remove the connector cap.
Make sure the Smart Heated Vest and the connector are dry
before connecting a battery.
STORAGE
When storing the Smart Heated Vest, allow it to cool down
before folding. Avoid creasing the Smart Heated Vest. Do not
place heavy items on top of the Smart Heated Vest during
storage.
For regular use, you can store your Smart Heated Vest without
disconnecting the battery. The system will go to Stand by mode and
consume minimal battery life.
For long-term storage, disconnect the battery from the Smart
Heated Vest. To prolong battery life, we recommend charging
at least every 6 months. This ensures that the maximum battery
power is preserved for many years!
Please keep the Smart Heated Vest in a dry and aired place, and
so as they are not exposed to shocks or the weight of other objects.
TROUBLESHOOTING
LED BLINKING
• Orange LED, slow blinking: the Smart Heated Vest s running
out of battery. Please refer to battery charging instructions.
• Purple LED, rapid blinking: the rmware of the Smart Heated
Vest is being updated. DO NOT disconnect the battery!
• Red LED, rapid blinking: please try to disconnect and reconnect
the battery. If the problem persists, please remove the battery
and contact Blåkläder.
HEATING SYSTEM
E.g.: The product is not heating, the batteries do not seem to work,
etc.

Quick solution: Run the diagnostic in the clim8®app by going to
the settings at the top right corner of the screen. Click “Diagnostic”
and follow the instructions.

E.g.: Problem pairing the product the app is not working properly,
etc.

• Reboot your phone
• Uninstall and reinstall the clim8®app

WARRANTY
Blåkläder offers a warranty of:
• Two (2) years from the date of purchase in Europe/UK, in
accordance with applicable European Union legislation and
Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK.
Within the warranty period, Blåkläder will repair or replace the
product free of charge to remedy any material or manufacturing
defects.
Equipment plugs do not have a grounding prong. This warranty
does not cover any damage resulting from improper use, personal
negligence, normal wear (e.g. in the case of textiles) as well as
defects that are only slightly detrimental to the value or usability of
the product. The original purchase receipt is required to process
the warranty.
Furthermore, our warranty does not cover any claims based on
slight differences in the charge level of several lithium packs in
the clim8®app during charging or heating since lithium packs
and heating elements are naturally subject to production-related
tolerances. Such minimal differences have no noticeable effect on
the product’s heating performance and heating duration.
All warranty claims will be void if:
• Interventions by unauthorized bodies are made
• Parts other than original spare parts are used
The warranty granted by Blåkläder neither restricts the legal rights
of the customer according to the respective applicable national
law, nor the rights of the customer towards the retailer from the
purchase agreement made between them.
For any repair or replacement service, please contact your dealer
or distributor in the rst instance, who is responsible for processing
guarantee claims.

BATTERIES
WARNING - Risk of re.
Never try to open the battery pack yourself. Improper handling
of the lithium-ion batteries can lead to an explosion. Moreover,
the electronics of the heated garment can be damaged.
The Smart Heated Vest is not suited for being used in
locations where special conditions prevail, such as the
presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust,
vapor or gas).
• To reduce the risk of re or burns, do not open, do not
disassemble, do not crush, do not puncture, do not dispose in re
or water the battery, do not short external contacts.
• To prevent moisture and dirt from entering the connecting socket
plug, the battery should always be connected to the cable when
in use or the cap should be placed on the socket plug when not
in use.
• Damaged batteries must not be used and must be disposed of
properly.

• Charge only 7.4V Li-Ion rechargeable batteries with this charger.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the charger.
• Do not use near water.
• Clean only with dry cloth. Always remove the charger from the
socket before cleaning.
• Do not install charger near any heat sources such as radiators,
heat registers, stoves, or any other product (including ampliers)
that produces heat.
• Damaged chargers or charging cables cannot be repaired.
• Dispose of the charger in accordance with local regulations at a
collection site for electronic waste.
The charger must only be used in the following conditions:
• Ambient operation temperature: 32°F to 104°F; 0°C to 40°C.
• Storage environment: Temperature: 14°F to 122°F; -10°C to
50°C. Humidity: 5-95% RH (do not have condensate protection).
This charger is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
If the shape of the plug does not t the power outlet, use an
attachment plug adapter of the proper conguration for the power
outlet.

state and local regulations. Contact a recycling agency in your area for
recycling locations. Even discharged batteries contain some energy.
Before disposing, use electrical tape to cover the terminals to prevent
