General functions
Function Action
Switch device on. Press the ON/OFF button briey.•
Switch device o.
Adjust the volume (levels 0– 50) Turn the ON/OFF button.
•
Mute the device or return to the previous volume level. Press the ON/OFF button briey.
When the device is muted,“MUTE” is displayed.

Select audio source FM1/FM21/FMT1/MW1/LW 1/AM1/AMT1/CD2/USB2/FRONT AUX2. Press the SRC button once or repeatedly.•

Cancel a trac announcement.4
Insert CD.
Risk of severe damage to the CD drive!
Noncircular contoured CDs (shape CDs) and CDs with a diameter of 8 cm (mini
CDs) must not be used.
Note
You must not hinder or assist the drive as it automatically draws in the CD.
Gently insert the CD with its printed side uppermost into the drive until you feel some
resistance and the CD is drawn in automatically.
•
Remove CD. Press the button.
Note
If a CD is ejected and not removed, the drive will automatically draw it back in again
after approx. 10 seconds.
•
Connect external audio source.
Danger! Increased risk of injury from connector.
In case of an accident, the protruding connector in the front AUX-IN socket may
cause injuries. The use of straight plugs or adapters leads to an increased risk of
injury. For this reason, we recommend using angled jack plugs.
Insert the jack plug of the external device into the front AUX IN socket.

Connect/disconnect USB stick.
Note
The supplied USB cable must be connected to the USB socket on the rear of the unit (see
section “Installation” overleaf).
Connect the USB stick to the USB cable or pull the USB stick o.

Functions in CD mode (CDDA/MP3/WMA) and USB mode (MP3/WMA)

Select previous/next track. Press the /button briey.•
Select previous/next folder . Press the /button briey.•
Fast search backwards/forwards. Press and hold down the / button.•
Pause or resume playback. Press the 3 button.•
Select Repeat option:
Repeat current track:
Repeat current folder : ‘RPT DIR’
Resume normal playback: ‘RPT OFF’
Press the 4 RPT button once or repeatedly.

Select Mix option:
Mix all tracks on CD: ‘MIX ALL’
Mix current folder : ‘MIX DIR’
Resume normal playback: ‘MIX OFF’
Press the 5 MIX button once or repeatedly.•
Scan all tracks on CD .
Cancel scanning at current track. Press the MENU button.

Press the DISP button once or repeatedly.

Solvents, cleaning and scouring agents as well as dashboard spray and plastics care prod-
uct may contain ingredients that will damage the surface of the car sound system. Use
only a dry or slightly moistened cloth for cleaning the car sound system.
Disposal notes
Do not dispose of your old unit in the household trash!
Use the return and collection systems available to dispose of the old device.

Safety notes
The car sound system was manufactured according to the state of the art and
established safety guidelines. Even so, dangers may occur if you do not observe
the safety notes in these instructions.
These instructions contain important information to easily and safely install and operate
the car sound system.
Read these instructions carefully and completely before using the car sound system.
Keep the instructions at a location so that they are always accessible to all users.
Always pass on the car sound system to third parties together with these instructions.
In addition, observe the instructions of the devices used in conjunction with this car sound
system.
Road safety
Observe the following notes about road safety:
Forthe front AUX-INsocket,use only the angled jack plug from Blaupunkt (7 607 001 535).
All protruding parts, incl. straight plugs or adapters, can lead to an increased injury risk in
case of an accident.
Use your device in such a way that you can always safely control your vehicle. In
case of doubt, stop at a suitable location and operate your device while the vehicle is
standing.
Always listen at a moderate volume to protect your hearing and to be able to hear
acoustic warning signals (e.g. police sirens).
General safety notes
Observe the following notes to protect yourself against injuries:
Do not modify or open the device. The device contains a Class 1 laser that can cause
injuries to your eyes.
Use as directed
vehicle system voltage and must be installed in a DIN slot. Observe the performance lim-
its in the technical data. Repairs and installation, if necessary, should be performed by a
specialist.
Installation instructions
You may only install the car sound system yourself if you are experienced in installing car
sound systems and are very familiar with the electrical system of the vehicle. For this pur-
pose, observe the installation instructions overleaf.
Declaration of conformity
The Blaupunkt AudioVision GmbH declares that the car sound system Miami 100 com-
plies with the basic requirements and the other relevant regulations of the directive
89/336/EEC.

Notes concerning MP3/WMA les and data carriers
Note the following information when preparing an MP3/WMA data carrier:
Naming of tracks and directories:
Max. 16 characters (CD) or 24 characters (USB) incl. the le extension “.mp3” or
“.wma”(if more characters are used, the number of tracks and folders that are rec-
ognisable by the car sound system is reduced)
No special characters
CD formats: Audio CD (CDDA), CD-R/RW, Ø: 12 cm
CD data formats: ISO 9669 Level 1 and 2, Joliet
CD burn speed: Max. 16x (recommended)
USB devices: USB sticks only (no USB hard disks)

Features
RDS tuner
This car sound system is equipped with an RDS tuner that supports features such as dis-
play of station names, alternative frequencies, REG (regional programmes), and priority
for trac announcements.1
Audio media
This car sound system can play audio CDs (CDDA) as well as MP3 andWMA les from CD-R,
External audio sources
You can connect external audio sources such as MP3 players or portable CD players to this
car sound system via the front AUX IN socket.
Telephone Mute
If a telephone is connected to this car sound system (mute signal of the telephone to
chamber A, pin 2 on the rear of the unit; see section “Installation instructions”overleaf),
the system is muted automatically when the telephone receives a call. For the period of
the call, “TELEPHONE”is displayed.

This car sound system is intended for installation and operation in a vehicle with 24 V
Adjust display brightness for day or night.

Safety instructions
When carrying out installation work and making connections please observe
the following safety instructions:
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery! When doing so, please observe the
vehicle manufacturer’s safety instructions.
Make sure you do not damage vehicle components when drilling any holes.
The cross sections of the positive and negative cables must not be less than 1.5 mm2.
Do not connect the vehicle’s plug connectors to the radio!
You can obtain the adapter cable required for your vehicle type from any BLAUPUNKT
dealer.
