INSTALLING BMW MOTORRAD CONNEC-
TED APP
For iOS and Android smartphones, the
BMW Motorrad Connected app can be
downloaded free from the corresponding
app store . The QR code below is for
downloading the app.
In the BMW Motorrad Connected app you
can select various Connectivity functions
that are available in combination with the
BMW Motorrad accessory. When the vehicle
is being ridden, the BMW Motorrad Con-
nected app can be operated in combination
with the ConnectedRide Cradle by means of
the Multi-Controller.
CONNECTEDRIDE SMARTGLASSES FUNC-
TIONS
The ConnectedRide Smartglasses are the
data glasses for the rider of a BMW motor-
cycle, scooter or eParkourer with Connectiv-
ity. They enable the wearer to overlay ride-
specific information directly on the field of
view by means of Augmented Reality.
A Connectivity link to the motorcycle
or scooter enables real-time data to
be transmitted to the ConnectedRide
Smartglasses.
The AR projection is optimised specifically
for the rider of a motorcycle or scooter and
helps the rider stay focused on essentials.
CONNECTEDRIDE SMARTGLASSES HIGH-
LIGHTS
Focus
With the ConnectedRide Smartglasses and
the projected information, the wearer's con-
centration stays focused on the road ahead
and the surroundings.
Navigation
Using GPS-based navigation and relevant
traffic information, the ConnectedRide
Smartglasses help the wearer make their
way to their destination.
Connectivity
The ConnectedRide Smartglasses were de-
veloped to be worn by the rider of a BMW
motorcycle, scooter or eParkourer with Con-
nectivity. In order for their full functionality
to be utilised, the ConnectedRide Smart-
glasses have to be paired via Bluetooth to
a mobile phone. Connectivity enables the
display of vehicle-specific data, for example
the currently engaged gear.
Comfort
The ConnectedRide Smartglasses are
compatible with most BMW Motorrad
helmets with grooves to accommodate
glasses temples and will withstand light fall
damage.
Battery power
One battery charge lasts for up to 10 hours,
enough for even a long tour. With a USB in-
terface, the battery can be quickly recharged
for several hours' operation.

Requirement

custom-adjusted for an ideal fit. Nose pads
in a choice of sizes are included in the scope
of delivery.
Open the BMW Motorrad Connected app

11
Check the correct fit of the ConnectedRide
Smartglasses with the virtually projected
rectangle.
The rectangle projected in the
ConnectedRide Smartglasses should be
as completely visible as possible. Shadow
effects can be compensated by moving the
view in the Connected App.
If the top edge of the projected rectangle is
not in the field of vision:
Use a thicker nose pad or pinch the nose
pads slightly together.
If the bottom edge of the projected rect-
angle is not in the field of vision:
Use a thinner nose pad or ease the nose
pads slightly apart.
Pull gently to disengage the incorrectly fit-
ting nose pad 1from the holder.
Put on the helmet in preparation for ad-
justing the ConnectedRide Smartglasses.
Carefully bend the temple tips 1for a
comfortable fit inside the helmet.

rectangle with the field of view and put on
the ConnectedRide Smartglasses.

inside the field of vision.

jected rectangle is not in the field of vision:
ConnectedRide Smartglasses too small or
too big, respectively.
Consult an authorised BMW Motorrad re-
tailer.
