Safety instructions
We thank you for your confidence in choosing this product. In order to achieve a satisfactory result, read these
instructions carefully. Always store the instructions together with the product.
Important!
When using power tools, always follow the general safety instructions below. Safe work with the product requires
the user to have read the instructions carefully before use. If necessary, get a qualified person to show you how
the product works before using it for the first time.
• Always use appropriate protective equipment such as safety goggles, hearing protection, breathing equipment,
gloves, non-slip shoes, and helmet and visor, depending on the nature of the work.
• Children must not use the product.
Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance when the product is in use. Make sure that the product is always
out of the reach of children and do not leave it unsupervised if there are children in the vicinity.
• Never use the product if you are tired, sleepy, sick or affected by alcohol, medicine or similar.
• Always keep limbs, hair and clothing at a safe distance from the moving, hot or sharp parts of the product.
Always keep the workpiece in your hand.
• The product must not be exposed to precipitation, liquids, splashes or moisture.
• The product may only be used for the purposes for which it was intended.
Do not overload the machine.
• The product may only be connectedto 230 V- 50 Hz. The wrong voltage may destroy the product and invalidate
the warranty.
• Make sure that the product does not come into contact with live electrical wires or gas or water pipes while
working.
• Beware of accidental starting. Make sure that the product is switched on before connecting it to the mains
power.
• Never leave the product before it has been unplugged from the mains and has stopped and cooled down. Never
put the product down before all the rotating parts have stopped.
• The product must be disconnected from the mains before changing any accessories or equipment on it and
before carrying out any adjustment, maintenance or cleaning. Alignment tools and similar must be removed
before restarting the product.
• Check regularly that the product is in good condition and that all the controls and accessories, as well as screws
and nuts, are secured or tightened correctly.
• If the product, cord or plug is damaged or defective, the product must not be used until it has been repaired.
Special safety instructions for cordless products
• For safety reasons, the battery is not fully charged when shipped. It should be fully charged before you use the
product for the first time.
• The battery typically only achieves its full capacity after it has been discharged and charged about 5 times.
• Charge the battery at least once a month, whether or not you use the product.
• Charge the battery using the charger supplied. Only use the product with the battery or batteries included.
Contact the point of sale if you need to replace the battery or charger.
• The battery must be stored and charged at between 10 and 40 °C.
• Allow the battery to cool before charging. It is normal for the battery to get warm or hot during charging. Do not
charge the battery for longer than prescribed.
• Do not store keys, paper clips, screws or coins along with a removable battery, as it may be short-circuited if
metal objects touch the poles.
• Do not open, short-circuit or burn the battery.
• Do not charge the battery for longer than prescribed. If the battery casing cracks, it may leak battery fluid.
• If battery fluid gets on your skin, immediately rinse the affected area with water and wash with soap and water.
• If battery fluid gets in your eyes, immediately rinse the eye with plenty of running water and seek medical
attention.
