Operation and Maintenance Instruction
Exhaust Hood Description Exhaust Hood Application
Ducted application
• The exhaust hood fan pulls the
kitchen smoke through the metallic
grease traps and removes it to the
outside.
• Metallic filters trap the kitchen smoke
and grease.
• It removes grease and odours from the
kitchen completely.
Ductless application
•Such type of exhaust hood requires
installation of charcoal filter (see Filter
and Maintenance).
The charcoal filter can be purchased
as a special accessory in a
SPECIALIZED SALON.
You can find the codes in the last
page of this Instruction.
❑ Exhaust fan draws in kitchen smokes
which are purified with the metallic
filter and the charcoal filter and then
released cleaned in the room.
• Metallic filter traps grease contained in
the kitchen smoke.
• Charcoal filter absorbs kitchen smokes.
It is impossible to remove kitchen
smoke odors if there is no charcoal
filter.

Before activating
Attention:
❑ The operating instruction is valid for all
applications of the exhaust hood. Hence,
it may contain description of individual
features which may not be available in
the equipment that you have purchased.
❑ This exhaust hood complies with all
safety requirements.
Maintenance works shall be performed
exclusively by trained specialists.
Improperly performed maintenance
works can cause grave dangers to the
user.
❑ Before the commissioning of the domestic
item read the operating instructions
attentively. They contain important
information not only about operating and
maintenance of the equipment, but also
about safety of the staff.
❑ Keep the
operating and setting up manual for the
further user of the domestic item.
Utilize the packaging material according
to the valid regulations (see Installation Manual).
This exhaust hood is designed for
domestic use only.
Before performing any operation in
cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the
exhaust hood from the power source,
for this, unplug it of switch off the main
switch in the room.
The tool is not intended to use of
children or physically
or mentally disabled people, or people, who
do not possess sufficient experience and
knowledge, if they are not supervised or if
they have not been trained to use the tool by
a person, responsible for their safety.
Children shall be supervised and shall
not have access to the tool.
Do not use the exhaust hood if the hood
screen is not installed properly.
It is forbidden to use the exhaust hood
as bearing surface if that is not
specified.
If the exhaust hood is applied
simultaneously with other gas or non-gas
tools, the proper
room ventilation shall be provided.
The air that is pulled by the exhaust
hood must not be extracted through the air
ducts used for extraction of smokes
from gas equipment, or equipment that
works on other inflammable materials.
Extraction hood must not be used for
cooking in open fire.
Open fire may lead to filter damage and
cause inflammation, that is why avoid open
fire.
Deep fat frying shall be performed
under constant control, keeping in mind that
overheated
oil may ignite.
Open parts may heat up if they are used
with cooking tools.
Smoke extraction shall be performed in
strict compliance with the valid regulations
and local safety regulations.

It is necessary to clean the exhaust
hood outside and inside (AT LEAST
ONCE A MONTH,
to observe maintenance instructions, as
specified in this manual).
Non observance of the instructions on
the exhaust hood cleaning and filter cleaning
and replacement can cause fire.
Gas and electric kitchen stoves.
Do not use a gas oven with all burners
on at their maximum capacity longer than 15
minutes.
Otherwise the exhaust hood will be
overheated and one can get burnt when
touching it.
Besides, the exhaust hood may get
broken.
If 3 gas burners are on, the exhaust hood
shall be turned on to its maximum capacity.
❑ Note: A big burner with the capacity
higher than 5 kWt (for example,
WOK), can be compared with 2
standard burners.
❑ Never leave gas burners on without a
casserole. Adjust the flame that it does
not exceed the casserole perimeter.
Do not use or do not leave the exhaust
hood without correctly installed lights due to
possible risks
of electric shock.
Manufacturer does not bear
responsibility for damages, burn out or
failure of the equipment caused by
non observance of instructions, specified in
the manual.

Exhaust Hood Application
The following way is the most efficient
one for removal of smokes during cooking:
❑ Turn on the draw in engine as soon
as you start cooking.
❑ Turn off the draw in engine some
minutes after you stop cooking.

Activation:
❑ Select the desired setting of the
draw in engine.
Deactivation:
❑ Returns to 0.
Illumination:
❑ Illumination can be turned on at any time,
even if the draw in engine is off.
Filters and Maintenance
Attention! Before performing any
cleaning or maintenance works turn the
exhaust hood off - unplug it or turn off
the main switch in the room.
Metallic grease filter:
Metallic filter captures grease particles that
are contained in smokes, formed during hot
food processing.
Grease filter is made from inflammable
metal.
Attention:
When the filter gets saturated with grease
the risk of the filter ignition increases and can
interfere with the correct functioning of the
exhaust hood.
Important:
to take care about regular cleaning of
the metallic filter.
Metallic filter cleaning:
❑ During normal operating (1 - 2 hours a
day), metallic filter shall be washed 8 –
10 weeks after the exhaust hood had
been used for the first time.
❑ The filter can be washed in a
dishwasher though because of this it
can fade slightly.
❑ The filter shall be placed in the
dishwasher freely, without efforts.
Important: Grease saturated filter shall
not be washed with dishes.
❑ If filter is to be washed manually,
place it for some hours in hot water
with detergent before washing.
Clean the filter with a brush, flush it
properly and let it dry.

Filters and Maintenance
Mounting and demounting of metallic
filters:
1. Turn the removal handles of the metallic
filters inside and lower the filters.
Demounting:
2. Clean filters.
3. Mount grease filters.
Charcoal filter:
To clean the kitchen smokes - in the
ductless hoods.
Attention:
Grease saturation of the filter can cause a
fire and lead to the performance reduction
of the exhaust hood.
Mounting:
Mount the filter to cover with it the motor
nest.
Plungers R in slots shall correspond with
the perforations S, turn clockwise till you
hear a click.
For demounting perform the above
described actions in reverse order.
❑ Charcoal saturation shall last during quite
a big time period, depending on the kids
of thermal food processing and the
cleaning frequency of the metallic filter.
The pillow shall be changed at least each
4 months.
Charcoal filter may be NOT washed and
NOT renewed.
❑ Charcoal filter can be purchased in a
specialized shop. (See Chapter "Special
Parts").
❑ To provide the proper functioning of the
exhaust hood use only original charcoal
filters.
Utilization of the old charcoal filters:
❑ Charcoal filters DO NOT contain
harmful substances. That is why they
can be utilized like usual domestic
waste.

Exhaust Hood Cleaning and Maintenance
Disconnect the equipment from the power
source.
❑ When filters are being replaced and
cleaned (see Chapter "Filters and their
Maintenance"), clean accessible exhaust
hood parts to prevent ignition and keep
the tool in optimal conditions.
❑ For equipment cleaning use warm
water and detergent.
If here are stubborn stains (old spots) use
detergent for glass.
❑ Do not rub dirty places, soak them in
water.
❑ Do not use abrasive metallic sponges,
which can damage the surface of the
exhaust hood.
❑ Warning: Do not use alcohol for
cleaning of plastic surfaces, as dark
spots may appear.
Attention! Ventilate the kitchen well and
do not leave open fire.
Aluminium and plastic surfaces.
❑ Use a soft wipe for glass, it does not
leave fibres, or use a microfibre sponge.
❑ Do not use dry wipes.
❑ Use non-concentrated detergent for
windows. Do not use aggressive, acid or
corrosive means.
❑ Do not use abrasive detergents.
The cleaning of the remote control shall
be performed with a humid soft wipe (with
non concentrated detergent).
Do not use polishing means for stainless
steel.
Stainless steel surfaces:
❑ Use non concentrated non abrasive
detergent for stainless steel.
❑ Wipe the surface in the direction
of polishing.
Do not use for steel surface cleaning
any of the following materials:
Metallic sponges, means with content of
sand, soda, acid or chlorine!

Bulb Replacement Failures
Attention! Before touching
a bulb make sure that it is cold
enough.
1. Disconnect the equipment from the
power source.
2. Remove the grease trap filters or the
exhaust hood screen.
3. Replace the burnt lamp.
In case of questions about functioning or a
failure please feel free to contact the Technical
Support Center.

Indicate please:
Insert the numbers in the indicated fields. The
numbers are given in the plate, that is located
inside of the tool, you can see it only after the
filters are removed.
4. Install the grease filters or the exhaust
hood screen.
5. If the illumination does not work, before
you address to a Technical Support
Center, check please if the bulbs are
connected correctly.

Recommendations
Old domestic items are not trash.
Raw materials, from which some domestic
items are made, can be recycled.
Before the utilization of the own domestic
items they shall be broken.
This product has marking in accordance with
the European Directive 2002/96/EC about
electric and electronic equipment utilization
(WEEE).
If the correct utilization of the product is
provided, you can with the same prevent
potential negative effects on the
environment and human health.
Symbol on product or supporting
documentation indicates that the product
cannot be treated as a usual domestic
waste, it shall be given up to an appropriate
office for acceptance of electric and
electronic equipment in order to be utilized
further. Utilization shall be performed in
accordance with the local rules about the
waste utilization. For detailed information
about the treatment of such kind of
products, their utilization and recycling
please address the local administration
body, service for waste utilization or the
shop where you have purchased the
product
The exhaust hood can have ducted or
ductless application.
Install the exhaust hood according to the
central position of the cooking surface.
Minimum distance between the cooking
surface and the bottom part of the exhaust
hood shall be not less than 50 cm - for
electric stoves, and not less than 65 cm for
gas stoves or combined stoves.
If in the installation instruction a bigger
distance is indicated, please consider it.
Your new domestic item is packed in
protective cardboard.
All packing material is environmental friendly
and can be recycled.
Please make your input in environment
protection, utilize the packing material in
accordance with environment protection
regulations.
Request the information about the waste
utilization in the shop where or the local
administration body.
