• The cooker hood blower sucks up vapors, which then
pass through metal grease filters, and then conveys
the filtered air from the kitchen to the outside.
• Metal filters detain the grease from the vapor.
• There is no trace of grease and odor in the kitchen.
Internal recirculation mode
• The charcoal filter is to be fitted (see Filter and
Maintenance).
You can purchase the charcoal filter as
a special accessory in a SPECIALISED
SHOWROOM.
Reference numbers are indicated on the last
page of the manual.
❑ The cooker hood blower sucks up vapors and filters out
grease and odors through the grease filter and charcoal
filter, and the filtered air is then fed back into the
room.
• The metal grease filter captures grease particles
contained in the kitchen vapors.
• The charcoal filter absorbs kitchen odors.
It is impossible to absorb the odors from the
kitchen vapors without the charcoal filter.

Before turning on the hood
Attention:
❑ These operating instructions refer to different versions of
the product. As a consequence, you might read a
description concerning some product characteristics which
are not related to the product you have purchased.
❑ The coker hood complies with all safety standards.
All the repair works should be done only by qualified and
specilised personnel.
Improper repair may seriously compromise the safety of the
user.
❑ Please read carefully these operating instructions before
using the hood for the first time. They contain operating and
maintenance instructions, as well as very important
information with regards to your personal safety.
❑ Keep the operating and installation manual for
forthcoming users of the appliance.
Remove the packaging according to the rules (see installation
instructions)
This cooker hood is intended for household usage only.
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning
operations, disconnect the hood from power supply, by
unplugging it from the mains supply or by switching off the
main switch.
The appliance is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised and should not have access to
the device.
Do not use the cooker hood if the grid is not
installed properly!
Never use the hood as a supporting surface, unless specified.
In case the cooker hood is used in conjunction with other
appliances fed by gas or any other type of energy, make sure that
there is an adequate supply of air into the room.
When used in the extraction mode, the cooker hood ducting
must not be connected to a flue which is used for exhausting fumes
from appliances supplied with energy other than electricity, such as a
central heating flue or water heating flue.
Flambè cooking under the cooker hood is not allowed.
Avoid using an open flame in any case – it can cause damage to
the grease filters and cause fire risk.
Deep frying should be done under constant
supervision – overheated oil can ignite.
The cooker hood open parts can overheat if used together
with other cooking appliances.
Vapor extraction should be done strictly
according to the applicable safety standards and
regulations.

Regularly clean the cooker hood inside and outside (AT LEAST,
ONCE A MONTH, in any case, in compliance with the
maintenance instructions given in this manual).
Failure in observing the instructions concerning filters cleaning
and replacement may cause a fire.
Gas and electric cookers
Do not use the gas cooker with all hobs at maximum
power for more than 15 minutes, as the cooker hood surface
will overheat, and touching it will result in burns. The cooker
hood may become damaged, as well.
If more than 3 hobs are on, it is necessary to turn the hood on
maximum speed.
❑ Important: a large hob with output exceeding 5 kVt
(WOK, for example) corresponds to 2 standard hobs.
❑ Never leave hobs in action without the pot on it. Adjust the
flame so that it does not go beyond the perimeter of the
pot.
Do not use or leave the hood without properly installed
bulbs as it may cause an electric shock.
The manufacturer declines all liability for any damage, fire
or injury caused by not abiding to the installation instructions
for contained in this manual.

Cooker hood usage
The most effective way to clean the air while
cooking is the following:
❑ Turn on the hood motor once you start cooking.
❑ Turn off the cooker hood few minutes after you finish cooking.
Light Motor buttons
Turning on:
❑ Choose the desired motor speed.
Turning off:
❑ Turn back to 0.
Lighting
❑ Light can be switched on in any moment, even if the motor is
switched off.
Filters and maintenance
Attention! Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning
operations, disconnect the hood from power supply – unplug the
hood or turn off the main switch.
Metal grease filter:
Metal filter retains grease particles from the vapor which is
formed during the cooking process.
The metal grease filter is made in fireproof metal.
Attention:
An excess of grease in the filter not only would affect the
performance of the hood, but it also represents a potential fire
risk.
Important:
make sure that the metal filter is regularly
cleaned.
Metal grease filter cleaning:
❑ In case of regular operation (1 - 2 hours per day), the
metal filter should be washed every 8-10 weeks of hood
usage.
❑ The filter can be washed in a dishwasher, which can
lead to a slight color fading.
❑ The filter should be placed softly in the dishwasher,
NO force should be applied.
Important: Do not wash grease filters fully loaded with
grease together with the dishes.
❑ If the filter is washed by hand, it should be placed in hot
water and a detergent for several hours. Wash the filter
with a brush, rinse it well and dry.

Filters and maintenance
Installation and removal of metal filters:
1. Push inwards the locking handles of the filter and pull it down.
2. Clean the filters.
3. Fit the grease filters.
Charcoal filter:
For vapor filtering in recirculation mode.
Attention:
An excess of grease in the filter not only would cause fire, but
can also affect the performance of the hood.
Installation:
Place the filter is such a way that it covers the motor
slot.

S, turn clockwise until you hear the distinctive
click.

Removal:
Remove the filter by reversing the above described operation.
❑ The charcoal filter lasts for a long time, depeding on the type
of cooking and the frequency of metal filter cleaning.
In any case, it is necessary to replace the filter every 4
months.
The charcoal filter can’t be neither washed nor restored.
❑ The charcoal filter can be purchased in a SPECIALISED
SHOWROOM.
(See «Specialised accessories»).
❑ To ensure proper functioning of the cooker hood, use only
original charcoal filters.
Use of old charcoal filters:
❑ Charcoal filters do NOT contain hazardous substances.
Therefore they can be disposed as regular household
waste.

Cooker hood cleaning and maintenance
Unplug the appliance.
❑ When the filters are cleaned and replaced (see chapter
«Filters and filter maintenance »), clean the accessable
parts of the hood to avoid inflammation and keep the
appliance in optimal conditions.
❑ Use warm water and detergens to wash the appliance.
Should there be stubborn stains (old spots), use a detergent
specific for glass.
Do not rub badly fouled surface, soak it with water
❑ Do not use abrasive products which may damage the
surface of the hood.
❑ Warning: Do not use alcohol to clean plastic surfaces,
as it can lead to dark spots.
Attention! Keep the kitchen well ventilated and do not leave
open flames
The remote control should be cleaned only with a humid soft
cloth (non-concentrated detergent).
Do not use polishes for stainless steel.
Stainless steel surfaces:
❑ Use non abrasive, non concentrated detergent for
stainless steel.
Wipe the surface in the same direction it’s been polished.
Do not use any of the following materials to clean stainless
steel: metallic sponges, sand, soda, acid or detergents containing
bleach!
Aluminium and plastic surfaces:
❑ Use soft a cloth specific for glass as it doesn’t leave fibres, or
a microfiber cloth.
❑ Do not use dry tissues
❑ Use non-concentrated detergent for glass. Do not use
aggressive, acid or corrosive detergents.
❑ Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Lamps replacement
Attention! Make sure the lamps are not hot before
touching them.
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Remove the grease filters or the metal grille.
3. Replace the blown bulb. Use only halogen light bulbs
Ø35 mm. E14 28Vt.
4. Put the metal grease filter or the exhaust grille in place.
5. If the light doesn’t work, make sure the lamps are fully
screwed into the holder before contacting the service
center.
Troubleshooting
For any issues regarding the cooker hood operation or malfunctioning,
please contact the technical service center (see the list of technical service
centers).

Please write the numbers in the specified fields. These numbers
are indicated on the label inside the appliance and can be seen
when the filters are removed.

Installation instructions
Recommendations
Old electrical appliances are not waste. Materials used for
appliances can be recycled.
Disable electrical appliances before usage.
The applianbce is marked according to the European Directive
2002/96/EC Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE). By ensuring the correct disposal of the appliance, you
will help to prevent potential negative concequences for the
environment and human health.
The symbol
on the appliance or in the accompanying documents indicates
that it can’t be treated as a general waste, but must be handed
over to the appropriate collection point for electrical and
electronic equipment usage for its further recycling. Scrap
handover should be done according to the local standards on
waste recycling. For more information on treatment, usage and
recycling of these products, please contact the local authorities,
the waste disposal service or the store where you purchased the
appliance.
Your new appliance is packed into a protective cardboard. All
the packaging is ecologically friendly and should be recycled.
Please contribute to the preservation of green environment by
throwing out the packaging according to the regulations on
environment protection.
Kindly request the information on waste disposal rules in the
store where you have purchased the appliance, or in local
authorities
The cooker hood is designed to work in either extraction or
recirculation mode.
The cooker hood should be placed right above and on the
same axis as the cooker.
Minimum distance between the cooker and the bottom of
the hood should not be less than 50 cm for electrical cookers
and not less than 65 cm. for gas or combined cookers.
Calculate the distance indicated in the cooker installation
instructions, if it exceeds the above mentioned one.

Kitchen vapors are evacuated through the ducting pipe upwards
or outside the building through the wall.
For external evacuation mode, it is necessary to install a non-
return valve in the ventilation shaft.
If there is no non-return valve in the cooker hood set – you can
purchase it in a specialized store.
Fit the non-return valve:
❑ Fit a non-return valve inside the ventilation shaft.
Make sure that the non-return valve can be opened
freely.
If you want the kitchen vapour to be extracted directly
outside, it is necessary to install a telescopic duct in the
external wall.
To ensure the optimal cooker hood air capacity:
❑ The exhaust pipe should be short and have a smooth surface.
❑ There should be a minimum number of bends in the pipe.
❑ The biggest pipe diameter possible and no bends.
Aspiration capacity won’t be optimal and the noise level will
increase in case long pipes with rough surface , many bends
and small diameter are used.
❑ Circular pipes:
Recommended internal diameter is 150 mm.
Flat pipes (e.g. rectangular section) the inner section area
should not be less than the circular pipe inner section area.
There should be no tight bends.
Ø 150 mm corresponds to approx. 177 cm².
❑ If the pipes have different diameters:
Use appropriate adhesive tape to seal the interconnection.
❑ Appropriate kitchen ventilation should be provided
for the hood working in evacuation mode.
Connect an exhaust pipe with Ø 150 mm:
❑ Fit the pipe in the air outlet hole of the hood.

Internal recirculation mode
❑ If it is impossible to use the hood in the evacuation mode,
use it in the recirculation mode with charcoal filters.

❑ The wall surface must be flat and vertical.
❑ Make sure the wall is strong enough and relevant fixing
materials are used.

Electrical connection
Mains voltage should correspond to the voltage indicated on the
rating plate found inside the hood. If the hood is equipped with a
plug, connect it to a plug connector which meets the applicable
regulations and is easily accessible. If the plug is not applicable
(direct connection to power supply), or if the plug connector is
not accessibile – use the appropriate bipolar switch providing
complete disconnection from the power supply in case of
overvoltage of category III, according to the installation
instructions.
Attention: before connecting the hood to the mains
supply and test its proper functioning, make sure that
power cable is connected properly.

Installation
Attention! Do not connect the appliance to the power supply until installation is complete.
The cooker hood is designed to be wall-mounted .
Note: Special accessories may be required for the installation.
• To make mounting operations easier, draw the central line
on the wall (1), put the paper template in such a way that its
central line coincides with the one on the wall, and the bottom
of the template corresponds to the bottom of the hood when
the latter is mounted (2).

• Drill 2 Ø 8 mm holes and place the rawlplugs with the hooks
(3).
• Fix the duct support bracket «G» on the wall contiguous with
the ceiling, use the support bracket as a template to drill the
holes (if there is any small oval hole in the bracket, it should
coincide with the central line drawn on the wall) – mark 2 holes
with the pencil, drill 8mm. holes, fix 2 plugs. Fix the duct support
bracket to the wall with 2 5х45mm. screws (4).
• Hang the hood on the brackets (5)
• Adjust the position (6).
• Mark the holes for the final mounting (7-8).

• Fasten the hood with 4 screws 5x45 mm. (12).
• Make all the electrical connections, but leave the hood
disconnected from home mains supply.
• Evacuation mode only:
Connect the vent pipe (13A – the pipe and the attachment
clip are not included in the kit, purchase it separately) to the
ring located above the motor suctioning unit.
In the case of the evacuation mode , connect the other
end of the pipe to the vapor exhaust system.
• Internal recirculation mode:
If you want to use the hood in recirculation mode, place the
chimney cap F on the duct support bracket G and connect
the other end of the pipe to the connecting ring located on
the chimney cap (13F).

Installation
• Place the decorative chimney above the hood.
Lower the upper part and fix it with 2 screws 2,9x6,5
mm. to the support bracket (14).
• Screw up 4 dowels to fix the ladle holder.
• Insert the ladle holder and block it with 2 dowels.
• Fix grease filters.
Attention! If the hood is used in evacuation mode,
remove the charcoal filter, if present (see the appropriate
paragraph).
If the hood is used in recirculation mode, make sure the
charcoal filter is fixed, and if it’s not – purchase and install
one.
