10/68 Safety instructions
Bosch Rexroth AG, A20V(L)O Series 1, RE 93100-01-B/2019-09-10
• Use oftheaxial piston unit with assembled parts under water atadepth ofmore
than 10meters without thenecessary additional measures, e.g. pressure
equalization. Units with electrical components (e.g. sensors) generally cannot
come into contact with water. Axial piston units may only beused onacase-to-case
basis forthis application.
• Size 60: The maximum permissible case pressure specified in data sheet 92703
must not beexceeded.
• Sizes 95 to260: Use oftheaxial piston unit under acontinuous pressure
differential between housing and ambient pressure greater than 2bar, with
theambient pressure always lower than thecase pressure. Momentary (t<0.1s)
pressure peaks of up to 10bar are allowed, but no more than 1000 pressure peaks
over the entire service life. Beyond this, themaximum permissible case pressure
specified indata sheet 92500 must not beexceeded.
• Size 520: Use oftheaxial piston unit under acontinuous pressure differential
between housing and ambient pressure greater than 2bar (at nominal speed), with
theambient pressure always lower than thecase pressure. Momentary (t<0.1s)
pressure peaks ofup to6bar are allowed. Beyond this, themaximum permissible
case pressure specified indata sheet 92050 must not beexceeded.
• Use oftheaxial piston unit inpotentially explosive areas unless
thecomponent ormachine/system has been certified ascompliant with
theATEXDirective2014/34/EU
• Use oftheaxial piston unit inacorrosive atmosphere
• Use oftheaxial piston unit inaircraft orspacecraft
2.4 Personnel qualifications
The activities described inthis documentation require abasic understanding
ofmechanics, electricity and hydraulics, aswell asfamiliarity with associated
technical terms. For transporting and handling theproduct, knowledge regarding
theuse oflifting devices and lifting accessories isrequired. Inorder toensure safe
use, these activities should only beperformed byskilled personnel oraninstructed
person under thedirection and supervision ofskilled personnel.
Skilled personnel refers topersons who possess theprofessional training,
knowledge and experience, aswell astheunderstanding oftheregulations relevant
tothe work tobe done that are necessary torecognize possible dangers and take
theappropriate safety measures. Skilled personnel must follow therules relevant
totheir field and have thenecessary hydraulic expert knowledge.
Hydraulic expert knowledge includes:
• Being able toread and fully understand hydraulic circuit diagrams,
• inparticular, fully understanding therelationships with regard tosafety devices
• comprising ofknowledge regarding thefunction and layout
ofhydrauliccomponents.
