Troubleshooting – Preset Update Process for L1™ model I systems
Symptom Cause Resolution
I'm playing an
upgrade disc from the
DVD player, but the
power LED on the
power stand does not
blink.
The DVD player is not actually
playing the disc.
Ensure that the DVD
player is playing the disc
by viewing the
incrementing playback
time on the DVD display.
Make sure PAUSE is not
on.
Data is not yet streaming into the
power stand.
Wait at least 10 seconds
of playback to witness
the LED blinking on the
power stand after the
disc begins to play.
The DVD player is not connected to
the power stand.
Connect a RCA patch
cable from the DVD
player's coaxial digital
audio output to the
power stand Data IN
jack.
The digital audio output setting on
the DVD player is set to the wrong
output format.
With a TV connected,
check the menu options
of the digital audio
output connection.
Sometimes an option for
Bitstream or PCM is
available. Bitstream
should be selected on
most players. If
Bitstream does not
work, then try PCM or
other available options.
The digital audio output is altered by
other "sound-enhancing" settings on
the DVD player.
With a TV connected,
check the menu options
for audio output. Some
players offer 3D,
normalization, and
compression settings.
All of these should be
turned off.
The RCA patch cable is damaged. Try another good-quality
RCA cable.
Red LED The power stand was sent Reboot the power stand

Red LED information which locked it from
receiving further input.
(turn OFF the power
switch, wait 5 seconds,
and then turn the power
switch back ON). Try the
upgrade procedure
again.
My DVD player does
not play the upgrade
disc at all.
The DVD player is not compatible
with CD-R. Many DVD players are

Use another, compatible
DVD player to perform
the upgrade.
