BOW Industries introduces our light, compact, and powerful manual operated hard drive destroyer, the Model
MHDD-N. Designed for the destruction of all standard hard drives in any environment. Originally designed for
emergency situations where electric power may not be available and quick destruction is a must. Its low cost and
versatility make it perfect for both the government and commercial markets where a tight budget is an important
consideration.

As an inexpensive alternative to other expensive power destroyers and shredder, this small heavy-duty NSA
approved destroyer is maintenance free and completely self-contained. It has no messy fluids or external
components to deal with.
The MHDD-N destroyer is extremely operator friendly, requiring a minimal amount of manual exertion. Simply insert
the hard drive into the slot, close the safety door and turn the easy to turn handle eight rotations. After destruction the
destroyer pushes the hard drive out for easy removal. This simple operation takes approximately 8 seconds or less.

Government specifications require that a hard drive needs to be destroyed so that no equipment or persons can spin
or operate the drive. The MHDD-N easily meets these requirements. Physical destruction is preferred because it
gives clear visible evidence that the hard drive is inoperable.
The internal workings of the unit press down on the drive, bending it approximately 90 degrees. The bend renders
the drive useless by bending the platters, damaging the heads, motor and circuit board. To keep the speed at an
optimum, the destroyer resets automatically. No time is wasted turning the handle backwards.
With years of data from our customers these destroyers have proven they are reliable enough to offer an 18 month
standard factory warranty, more than any of our competitors.
Today, with the threat of identity theft and the war on terrorism still raging, information must be kept secure and out
of the wrong hands. In emergency situations destruction by rapid and reliable means to insure that the information is
irretrievable is top priority. It is for these situations that the MHDD-N is perfectly suited.

Laptop Option (LTH) – Allows the destroyer to process 2.5-inch Form Factor Laptop Drives. Swapping supports takes
approximately 10 seconds. The holder allows the operator to stow the supports when not in use. The magnetic mounting enables
the holder to simply mount to the back of the unit. If the CASE option is ordered then a tool box is supplied instead of the holder.
Rear Output Slide (ROS) - The hard drives typically are removed from the front of the unit. Because of the versatility of BOW’s
destroyers this option also allows for the ejection of the hard drives out the back of the unit, giving the user the ability to discharge
the drives into a disposal bin or container, requiring less operator handling and increasing throughput by up to 20%
Rackmountable Slide-out Shelf (EIA) – For mounting in standard 19-inch EIA racks. This option allows the user to conveniently
stow the destroyer when not in use and pull it out when needed, saving all too valuable table-top space.
Universal Mount Kit (MNT) – This option allows the customer to mount the destroyer to various surfaces, including carts, truck
floors, racks, etc.
Transport & Storage Case (CASE) – A heavy duty Pelican® case with custom insert made specifically for the destroyer.
