Two Braun Serial No./Series No. identification tags (shown below) are posted on the lift.
One I.D. tag is posted on the pump side vertical arm. A second I.D. tag is located on
the opposite pump side tower. Both I.D. tags provide the product identification infor-
mation provided on the Warranty/Registration card. Record the information in the space
provided (or document on a copy). This information must be provided when filing
a warranty claim or ordering parts.
Warranty and Registration Instructions
Immediately upon receiving the lift, examine the
unit for any damage. Notify the carrier at once
with any claims.
Two warranty/registration cards (shown right) are
located in the lift-mounted manual storage pouch.
The sales representative must process one of the
cards. The consumer must fill out the other card
and mail it to The Braun Corporation. The war-
ranty is provided on the back cover of this manual.
The warranty cards must be processed to
activate the warranty.

Braun Corporation Product Bulletin
The Series 03 CL917IB features a new Unfold/
Down and Up/Fold microswitch assembly. The
microswitch assembly consists of an aluminum ex-
trusion mounting block, UHMW sliding microswitch
mounts and stainless steel adjustment screws for
improved reliability (less need for ineld adjust-
ment). One piece molded electrical connectors
take the place of the three single wire terminals
previously connected to each microswitch (de-
creases potential of a wire being disconnected).
Further microswitch details are provided on page 2
of this suppplement.
Supplement 30304 addresses Series 03 CL917IB
technical information. A wiring diagram, a pump
module exploded view and a lift exploded view
applicable for CL917IB Vista Series™03 lift models
are provided.
The Braun Serial No./Series No. Identication Tag
is posted on the opposite pump side tower. Note
the lift model number and the series number.

Series 03 CL917IB Electrical Schematic
Unfold/Down and Up/Fold Microswitches: The
Series 03 CL917IB features a new Unfold/Down
and Up/Fold microswitch assembly. The
microswitch assembly is located in the pump
side tower (shown below).
When adjusting microswitches, stop block
positioning and bridge plate positioning must be
viewed. A combination of adjustments may be
required to achieve a proper balance. In the
event that one of these microswitches requires
adjustment, refer to pages 38 and 39 of this
manual for Floor Level Guideline Adjustments.
Adjust microswitches as outlined below.
Adjustment: Adjustment procedures remain the
same (adjustment Allen screws in place of hex
bolts). Use a 3/16" Allen wrench to turn the two
stainless steel Allen adjustment screws to
reposition the limit switches. Adjust these
microswitches as outlined below and on
Microswitch Adjustment Instructions decal 24490
(posted on tower).

The Braun Serial No./Series No. Identication Tag
is posted on the opposite pump side tower. Note
the lift model number and the series number. Dis-
regard this supplement if you are not installing or
servicing a Century Series™02 lift model.
Lift Installation: Install the lift as detailed in this
manual (29820).
Bridging: This feature stops the down travel of
the platform if the outboard end of the platform
contacts a raised surface (such as a curb), pre-
venting the operator from lowering the inboard end
of the platform resulting in an unsafe platform angle.

Series 02 CL917IB Lift Interlock Installation
The CL917 can be configured for use with a cus-
tomer supplied remote interlock with either a +12V
signal (positive logic) or a ground signal (negative
logic). The lift is shipped ready to use in the nega-
tive logic mode. Below are the instructions for
proper negative logic (grounded) interlock installa-
tion. To convert to a positive logic interlock mode,
follow the instructions on supplement page 5.
(When installing a remote interlock that supplies a ground signal)
1. To connect remote interlock switch:
a. Verify male plug 3-wire jumper is in the J6
(Negative) position on circuit board located
inside pump module cover.
b. Install a 1/4" insulated female spade terminal
on end of customer supplied remote interlock
ground source wire. See Specifications
below.
c. Mounded to the pump module cover is a
female interlock plug. Exiting the back side
(inside pump cover) is a black and red wire
with 1/4" insulated male spade terminals.
d. Plug the ground source from customer sup-
plied remote interlock with the 1/4" insulated
female spade connector into the 1/4" insulated
male spade connector on the black wire exiting
the back side of the female interlock plug.
e. Remove male interlock jumper from front of
pump module cover. Store in glovebox for use
if needed when troubleshooting interlock
circuit. Note: Installing male interlock jumper
(e) will bypass customer-installed interlock
circuit and allow lift operation.
2. With lift unoccupied, test all lift functions to ensure
proper interlock installation (with interlock switch
opened and closed).

spade connector.
