1.1 A brief overview of the device
1.1.1 General description
The CHILLER is a cold water (type I) or a cold sparkling water device (type II), specially designed for
anyone who enjoys drinking a refreshing beaker of cool and/or sparkling water. The device can supply
(2−3 Gal.) of chilled water per hour.
The device’s settings are electronically controlled. The control system is equipped with three
programming buttons that can be used to adjust the settings (water temperature (2x) and filter−replacement
status (1x)).
Once it has been programmed in accordance with the specific criteria and requirements, the device can
be operated simply with the aid of the water outlet button located at the front of the device.
In front, the device is equipped with one or two operation buttons.

3. INSTALLATION

3.1 Unpacking
DVerify that the device is complete.
−Chiller
−1 drip−tray + grille
−1 water−connection hose
−1 Connecting cable
−Water filter (optional)
−1 CO2inlet pipe 1/4” (Type II only)
−CO2bottle and decompression valve (Type II only) provided by dealer
−these operating instructions
DIf components are missing or damaged, please contact your dealer.
3.2 Installation
CAUTION!
−Do not place the device with its back against a heat source (i.e. heaters).
−Make sure that there is sufficient space around the apparatus for ventilation.
DInstall the drip−tray in front of the device.
3.2.1 Connection to the water mains (drinking water)
DConnect the device to the water supply system (drinking water) using an easily accessible manually
operated tap. Use the connection hose supplied.
CAUTION!
−Ensure the water hose is connected well, ensuring no leakage.
−When not used for a long time, please shut off the water supply.
3.2.2 Connection to the electricity supply
WARNING
nSupply voltages may differ from one country to the next. Please ensure that the device is suitable
for connection to your local network. The identification label contains data relating to supply voltage
and frequency.
DConnect the device to the electricity supply to ensure a continuous supply of electricity. This
maintains the operation of the cooling system and the water filter’s counter remains active.
DEnsure that the device is correctly earthed.

3.2.3 Filter installation and replacement (optional)

DRotate like the right arrow (B) to open the filter.
DRotate like the left arrow (A) to lock the filter.
3.2.4 Using the device the first time
TIP
−The first time the device is used, it makes use of the default factory settings. At a later date,
authorized personnel can change these settings if required.
−The control system equates with a power failure memory function. See Chapter 6.
−The first time the device is used, it takes approx. 30 minutes before the water has reached the
desired temperature.
DActivate the device by putting the plug into the socket. The display then shows the temperature.
The water tank will be filled until the water level is reached. Press the up or down button to set the
desired temperature.
DWait approx. 3 minutes until the reservoir has filled.
DClean your Chiller following §5.2 (Flushing the water system)
DNow only remove the plug from the socket for maintenance repairs or long periods of inactivity.

4. EVERYDAY USAGE

During use, the default factory setting may not be considered to be correct or adequate for the situation
in which the device is being used. These settings can be adjusted −by personnel with the appropriate
authorization−in accordance with the instructions in Chapter 6.
Consequently, the present chapter (4.) only describes normal, everyday use of the device by any user.
Periodic maintenance activities for personnel with the appropriate authorization are described in Chapter 5.

1. The cold water button light will always be ON in blue when device is running normally.
2. The cold water button light will flash when cleaning/filter−replacement time is up.
3. The cold water button light will go off when something wrong with the temperature sensor.
4.2 Operation
4.2.1 Drawing off cold water
When water has reached the set temperature:
DPlace a cup under the water outlet and press the cold water button to draw off a refreshing
cup of cold water.
DPlace a cup under the water outlet and press the sparkling water button to draw off a
refreshing cup of sparkling water (Type II only).

5. MAINTENANCE BY SPECIALLY AUTORIZED
PERSONNEL

5.1 General cleaning
DClean the exterior of the device with a damp cloth (if necessary, use a non−abrasive cleaning agent).
DUse a vacuum Cleaner to clean the grille at the rear of the device.
5.2 Flushing the water system
Flush the water system with clean water if you have not used it to draw off water for one to two weeks.
5.2.1 Chiller (Type I)
1. Use button 2 to draw−off approximately 16.9 fl oz of water.
2. Wait until the water has reached the set temperature (about 30 minutes).
The device is ready for use.
5.2.2 Chiller with CO2(Type II)
1. Use button 3 to draw−off the contents of the CO2tank until only CO2gas escapes from the outlet
(101.44 fl oz).
2. Use button 2 to draw−off approximately 16.9 fl oz of water.
3. Wait until the water has reached the set temperature (about 30 minutes).
The device is ready for use.
5.3 Cleaning the cold water system
The cold water reservoir should be cleaned:
A. When the device has not been used for a relatively long period of time.
B. When the water that is drawn off has an unusual taste.
C. At least every six months or when the cleaning−/ replace filter indicator (C1) is flashing.
5.3.1 Cleaning Procedure
Before cleaning make sure the following items are available:
DCleaning kit (2 x 1.7 fl oz cleaning agent and 1 spray bottle of cleaning agent)
DCleaning cartridge (3M AP2−E)
WARNING
nBefore use carefully read the instructions of the drinking−water disinfectant to be used first.
5.3.1.1 Chiller (Type I)
1. Close the water tap.
2. Fill the cleaning cartridge with the two bottles of detergent.
3. Connect the cleaning cartridge to the Chiller.
4. Turn the water tap open.
5. Use button 2 to draw off approximately 8.45 fl oz of water.
6. Wait for about 30 minutes, the Chiller will now fill with the cleaning agent.
7. Use the spray bottle to clean the outlet, during the filling process.
8. Remove the cleaning cartridge and empty the water present.
9. Again, use button 2 to draw off approximately 8.45 fl oz of water.
10. If a water filter is connected it should also be replaced now (see § 3.2.3).
11. Reset the timer for cleaning (see § 6.1.2).
The device is ready for use.

5.3.1.2 Chiller (Type II)
1. Close the water tap.
2. Use button 3 to draw off the CO2reservoir until only CO2gas escapes (±84.54 fl oz water).
3. Fill the cleaning cartridge with the two bottles of detergent.
4. Connect the cleaning cartridge to the Chiller.
5. Turn the water tap open.
6. Use button 2 to draw off approximately 8.45 fl oz of water.
7. Wait for about 30 minutes, the Chiller will now fill with the cleaning agent.
8. Remove the cleaning cartridge and empty the water present.
9. Use the spray bottle to clean the outlet, during the filling process.
10. Close the water tap.
11. Use button 3 to draw off the CO2reservoir until only CO2gas escapes (±84.54 fl oz water).
12. Turn the water tap open.
13. Use button 2 to draw off approximately 33.8 fl oz of water.
14. The Chiller fills up again and after approx. 20 minutes ready for use.
15. Use button 3 to draw off the CO2reservoir until only CO2gas escapes (±84.54 fl oz water).
16. If a water filter is connected it should also be replaced now (see § 3.2.3).
17. Reset the timer for cleaning (see § 6.1.2).
The device is ready for use.
TIP
−Ensure that there is always at least one spare water filter in stock.
−Clean the ventilator and the outside of the condenser every year (if necessary with a vacuum
cleaner).
CAUTION!
−The remaining maintenance activities are strictly reserved for specially trained service engineers for
cold−water systems.

6.1.1 Temperature setting function
The buttons Yand Bare used for temperature setting.
1. Y: higher temperature
2. B: lower temperature
3. Keep YBpressed together for more than 3 seconds: the temperature−setting button will be
locked (this lock can be cancelled when repeating the procedure).
4. Temperature setting range: 41 −68 F.
TIP
−If no button is pressed during programming for 5 seconds, the program ends automatically and the
set temperature reappearance in the display. The modified settings are stored in the system.
6.1.2 Filter−replacement / Cleaning setting and reset function
The device is equipped with an automatic reminding of filter−replacement/cleaning signaling and reset
function.
Setting function
1. Press the ”Reset” button for more than 3 seconds, the display will flash the time code.
2. Release the ”Reset” button.
3. Press Yor Bto select your desired cycle time (it will be blinking).
4. Wait for more than 10 seconds.
5. Press ”Reset” button again to save.
−C0: cancel automatic filter−replacement/cleaning function;
−C1: 4 months replacement/cleaning cycle;
−C2: 6 months replacement/cleaning cycle.
Signaling function
When the filter−replacement/cleaning time is up:
DThe display will show the code and temperature alternately and
Dthe operation button light in front will flash.
Reset function
The signaling message won’t be lost until the filter is replaced and the counter is reset to zero.
You can press the ”Reset” button once to reset it.

6.2 Protection function
6.2.1 Compressor protection
When the required temperature is reached or the power supply is cut off, the compressor will stop
working for 3 minutes.
6.2.2 Water source low pressure protection
When the water source pressure is lower than 100 kPa or the water source switch is shut off, the water
inlet valve and pump power will be cut off to have them protected in order to avoid long−time running.
6.2.3 Power failure memory function
The setting parameter will not change after a power−cut. The machine can go on running as before.
6.2.4 ”E1” protection function
When something is wrong with the temperature sensor or a connection loose, the digital display will
show ”E1”. The device will stop working by control system unless the fault I has been solved.

7. CORRECTING MALFUNCTIONS
If the device is not operating (correctly), consult the following checklist to learn whether you can resolve
the problem yourself. If this is not the case, please contact your dealer.

to the electrical system and the cooling system are strictly reserved for service engineers with the
appropriate authorisation and training.
7.1 General
