So baust du dein Teleskop auf
Bevor du nun mit dem Aufbau startest, solltest du gut überlegen, wo du dein Teleskop aufstellen möchtest.
Es ist wichtig, dass du einen Ort wählst, an dem du freie Sicht auf den Himmel hast, an dem der Boden fest
und eben ist und an dem du genügend Platz um dich herum hast. Wenn du den idealen Platz gefunden hast,
kannst du mit dem Aufbauen beginnen.

Öffne zuerst die Feststellclips an den Stativbeinen (16). Ziehe dann
die unteren Teile der Stativbeine (15) so weit wie möglich nach unten
und schließe anschließend die Feststellclips wieder (Fig. 1). Du kannst
später die Höhe des Stativs ändern, indem du die Stativbeine auf die
gleiche Weise wieder etwas einschiebst.

 Verbinde jetzt das Fernrohr (8) mit dem Stativkopf (Abb. 2). Benutze
die Fixierschraube für das Fernrohr (12) um beide Teile fest miteinan-
der zu verbinden.
Okular einsetzen
Entferne nun die Staubschutzkappe von der Okular-
halterung (2). Nun kannst du das Amici-Prisma (3) in
die Okularhalterung einsetzen und ihn mit der kleinen
Schraube am Stutzen befestigen. Das Okular (5) setzt
du als nächstes in die Öffnung des Amici-Prisma (3)
ein. Auch hier bendet sich eine Schraube, mit der du
das Okular am Amici-Prisma festschrauben kannst.
Hinweis: Setze zuerst das Okular mit der größten
Brennweite (z.B. 20 mm) in das Amici-Prisma ein.
Die Vergrößerung ist dann zwar am geringsten, aber
es wird dir leichter fallen, etwas zu beobachten.
Barlow-Linse
Optional: Die Barlow-Linse kann zwischen dem Amici-
Prisma und dem Okular montiert werden, um die Ver-
größerung noch einmal zu verdreifachen.

Batterie einsetzen
1. Mit einem Schraubenzieher die Batteriefachabdeckung
im Uhrzeigersinn öffnen.
2. Eine CR2032 Knopfzellenbatterie einlegen und dabei
auf die richtige Polarität achten.
3. Batteriefachdeckel an passender Position anhalten und
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn handfest anziehen.
Dein Teleskop benutzen
Um das Teleskop nach oben, nach unten und von Seite zu Seite zu bewegen, greife das Fernrohr und be-
wege den Tubus kontinuierlich, bis dein Ziel im Okular ins Blickfeld kommt. Bedenke, dass bedingt durch
die Rotation der Erde, sich Objekte ziemlich schnell aus deinem Blickfeld bewegen werden. Sobald du
das gewünschte Ziel gefunden und scharfgestellt hast, musst du das Objekt verfolgen, wenn es über den
Nachthimmel fährt. Für einen genaueren Blick auf ein Objekt, kannst du das 4 mm Okular verwenden. Die
Vergrößerung erhöht sich dann von 20x auf 100x.
Welches ist das richtige Okular?
Wichtig ist zunächst, dass du für den Beginn deiner Beobachtungen immer ein Okular (5) mit der höchsten
Brennweite wählst. Du kannst dann nach und nach andere Okulare mit geringerer Brennweite wählen. Die
Brennweite wird in Millimeter angegeben und steht auf dem jeweiligen Okular. Generell gilt: Je größer die
Brennweite des Okulars, desto niedriger ist die Vergrößerung! Für die Berechnung der Vergrößerung gibt es
eine einfache Rechenformel:

Formel zur Berechnung der Vergrößerung:

Scharfeinstellungsrad
Schaue durch das Okular (5) des Fernrohrs und peile ein gut sichtbares Objekt (z.B. einen Kirchturm) in
einiger Entfernung an. Stelle es mit dem Scharfeinstellungsrad (1) scharf.

Hinweise zur Reinigung
• Reinigen Sie die Linsen (Okulare und/oder Objektive) nur mit einem weichen und fusselfreien Tuch (z. B.

Microfaser). Das Tuch nicht zu stark aufdrücken, um ein Verkratzen der Linsen zu vermeiden.
• Zur Entfernung stärkerer Schmutzreste befeuchten Sie das Putztuch mit einer Brillen-
Reinigungsüssigkeit und wischen damit die Linsen mit wenig Druck ab.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Staub und Feuchtigkeit! Lassen Sie es nach der Benutzung – speziell bei
hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit – bei Zimmertemperatur einige Zeit akklimatisieren, so dass die Restfeuchtig-
keit abgebaut werden kann.
Wie man die BRESSER ARTelescope App installiert und benutzt
Um die App herunterzuladen
Methode 1:
Scanne mit deinem Smart-Gerät einen der QR-Codes für den App-Download auf Seite 3, um die ARTelescope
App herunterzuladen und zu installieren.
Methode 2:
Suche im App Store oder Google Play nach der "ARTelescope" App.
Um die App zu aktivieren
Öffne nach der Installation die App. Damit die ARTelescope App richtig funktioniert, musst du Ihr den Zugriff
auf die Kamera, den Standort und die Bluetooth-Funktionen auf deinem Smartphone erlauben. Als nächstes
wähle deine bevorzugte Sprache. Um die App zu aktivieren musst du jetzt den Aktivierungs-QR-Code auf Seite
3 scannen. Wichtig: Bitte bewahre diesen Aktivierungscode auf, um weitere Geräte aktivieren zu können.

Verwendung der ARTelescope App
Nachdem du die App gestartet hast, tippe auf das Symbol
"Star Seeking" in der Mitte des Bildschirms, um auf die
Bluetooth-Schnittstelle zuzugreifen.
Hinweis: Bluetooth auf deinem Gerät muss aktiviert sein.
Setze jetzt dein Smartphone in die Halterung (6) ein.
Wenn sich das Gerät in der Halterung am Teleskop
befindet, tippe auf "Automatische Suche" und gebe das
AR-Sternsuchmodul ein.
Sprache einstellen
Gehe zum Startmenü-Bildschirm und tippe auf das Globussymbol in der
oberen linken Ecke, um die Sprachumschaltfunktion aufzurufen.

3D Montageanimation
Gehe zum Startmenü-Bildschirm und tippe auf die obere rechte Ecke, um die 3D-Montageanimation des
Teleskops aufzurufen, und tippe auf die Schaltfläche Animation abspielen, um die 3D-Montageanimation
in der frei drehbaren Oberfläche anzusehen.
Lexikon für Sternbilder
Gehe zum Startmenü-Bildschirm und tippe auf das Lexikon-Symbol in der unteren linken Ecke, um auf
Informationen über Sternbilder und Objekte des Sonnensystems zuzugreifen. Tippe auf ein Objekt, um
Informationen zu erhalten, die Bilder, Text und Audio enthalten.
Lexikon für Objekte im Sonnensystem
Gehen Sie zum Lexikon Bildschirm und tippe auf das Symbol "Sonnensystem", um Informationen über
die Objekte des Sonnensystems zu erhalten. Tippen auf ein Objekt, um Informationen zu erhalten, die
Bilder, Text und Audio enthalten.

Sternbild Quiz
Gehe zum Startmenü-Bildschirm und tippe auf das Symbol in der unteren linken Ecke, um den Multiple-
Choice-Quiz-Modus aufzurufen.
AR Sternbild Fotofunktion
Gehe zum Startmenü-Bildschirm und tippe unten rechts auf die AR-Sternbildfunktion. Die Namen und
Umrisse der Sternbilder im Sichtbereich werden angezeigt, wenn du dein Gerät über den Nachthimmel
bewegst. Du kannst das Sternbild im AR-Modus fotografieren, indem du der Anwendung den Zugriff auf
die Kamera deines Geräts erlaubst.
Hinweise
• Die Berechtigung zum Öffnen der Kamera, des Albums und des Standorts des Geräts wird angezeigt,
wenn die App zum ersten Mal gestartet wird. Bitte tippe auf "Zulassen", um die Genehmigung zu
bestätigen.
• Wenn die Positionsabweichung des Sternensuchermoduls groß ist, kann eine manuelle Kalibrierung der
Position und Richtung durchgeführt werden, indem das Magnetometer in den Einstellungen kalibriert wird.

Smartphone-Halterung (Für Okulare)
Öffne die flexible Halterung und setze dein Smartphone hinein. Schließe die Halterung und stelle sicher,
dass dein Smartphone richtig fest sitzt. Die Kamera muss genau über dem Okular aufliegen. Öffne
dazu den Feststellclip auf der Rückseite der Halterung und passe den Okulareinblick genau auf deine
Smartphone-Kamera ein. Jetzt den Feststellclip wieder fest anziehen und die Smartphone-Halterung auf
das Okular deines Teleskops aufstecken. Starte nun die Kamera-App. Wenn das Bild noch nicht genau
zentriert auf deinem Display zu sehen ist, dann löse den Feststellclip leicht und justieren nach. Eventuell
ist es nötig, durch die Zoomfunktion das Bild Display füllend darzustellen. Eine leichte Abschattung an den
Rändern ist möglich. Nimm das Smartphone nach dem Gebrauch wieder von der Halterung ab!
HINWEIS
Achte darauf, dass das Smartphone nicht von der Halterung rutschen kann. Bei Beschädigungen durch ein
herabgefallenes Smartphone übernimmt die Bresser GmbH keine Haftung!
Kleines Teleskop-ABC Was bedeutet eigentlich ...
Brennweite:
Alle Dinge, die über eine Optik (Linse) ein Objekt vergrößern, haben eine bestimmte Brennweite. Darunter
versteht man den Weg, den das Licht von der Linse bis zum Brennpunkt zurücklegt. Der Brennpunkt wird
auch als Fokus bezeichnet. Im Fokus ist das Bild scharf. Bei einem Teleskop werden die Brennweiten des
Fernrohrs und des Okulars kombiniert.
Linse:
Die Linse lenkt das einfallende Licht so um, dass es nach einer bestimmten Strecke (Brennweite) im Brenn-
punkt ein scharfes Bild erzeugt.
Amici-Prisma (3):
Ein Dachkantenprisma, welches den Lichtstrahl im rechten Winkel umleitet. Bei
einem geraden Fernrohr kann man so die Beobachtungsposition korrigieren und
bequem von oben in das Okular schauen. Das Bild erscheint durch einen Amici-
Prisma aufrecht und seitenrichtig.
Barlow-Linse (4):
Die Barlow-Linse kann zur Vergrößerung der Brennweite eines Teleskops verwen-
det werden.

Okular (5):
Ein Okular ist ein deinem Auge zugewandtes System bestehend aus einer oder
mehreren Linsen. Mit einem Okular wird das im Brennpunkt einer Linse entste-
hende scharfe Bild aufgenommen und nochmals vergrößert. Für die Berechnung
der Vergrößerung gibt es eine einfache Rechenformel:
Brennweite des Fernrohrs / Brennweite des Okulars = Vergrößerung
Du siehst: Bei einem Teleskop ist die Vergrößerung sowohl von der Brennweite
des Okulars als auch von der Brennweite des Fernrohrs abhängig.
Daraus ergibt sich anhand der Rechenformel folgende Vergrößerung, wenn du ein
Okular mit 20 mm und ein Fernrohr mit 400 mm Brennweite verwendest:
400 mm : 20 mm = 20-fache Vergrößerung
Vergrößerung:
Die Vergrößerung entspricht dem Unterschied zwischen der Betrachtung mit bloßem Auge und der Betrach-
tung durch ein Vergrößerungsgerät (z.B. Teleskop). Dabei ist die Betrachtung mit dem Auge einfach. Wenn
nun ein Teleskop eine 30-fache Vergrößerung hat, so kannst du ein Objekt durch das Teleskop 30 Mal größer
sehen als mit deinem Auge. Siehe auch „Okular“.

How to assemble the telescope
Before you get started with the assembly, you should take some time to decide where you would like to
set up your telescope. It is important that you choose a place from which you have an uninhibited view of
the sky, where the oor is hard and even, and where you have enough space around you so that you feel
comfortable. When you’ve found the ideal spot, you can begin the assembly.

Open the locking clips on the tripod legs (16). Then pull the lower parts
of the tripod legs (15) downward as far as they will go. Finally, close
the locking clips again (Abb. 1). You can change the height of the tri-
pod at a later time by making the tripod legs a bit shorter (again, ope-
ning the locking clips, adjusting the legs, closing the clips).

 Connect the telescope tube (8) to the tripod head (Abb. 2). Use the
Fixation screw for the Telescope tube (12) to rmly connect both
parts.
How to insert an eyepiece
Take the lens cap off the eyepiece holder (2). You can
now place the amici prism (3) into the eyepiece holder
and secure it with the small screw on the connector.
Next, set the eyepiece (5) into the opening of the ami-
ci prism (3). Here too, there is a screw with which you
can screw the eyepiece onto the amici prism.
Note: First, put the eyepiece with the largest focal
width (e.g. 20 mm) onto the amici prism. While you'll
get the least amount of magnication, it will be easier
for you to view things.
Barlow Lens
Optional: The Barlow lens can be mounted between
the amici prism and the eyepiece to further triple the
magnication.

Installing the battery
1. Open the battery compartment cover clockwise with a
screwdriver.
2. Insert a CR2032 button cell battery, paying attention to
the correct polarity.
3. Hold the battery compartment cover in the appropriate
position and hand-tighten it anti-clockwise.
Using your telescope
To move the scope up, down and side to side, grip the telescope and steadily move the tube until your target
comes into view in the eyepiece. It is important to remember that the rotation of the Earth means objects
will move out of your eyepiece fairly quickly. Once you have found and focused on your desired target, you
will have to track the object as it journeys across the night sky. For a closer look at an object, you can insert
the 4 mm eyepiece. The magnication will increase from 20x to 100x.
Which eyepiece is right?
It is important that you always choose an eyepiece (5) with the highest focal width for the beginning of your
observation. Afterwards, you can gradually move to eyepieces with smaller focal widths. The focal width
is indicated in millimeters and is written on each eyepiece. In general, the following is true: The larger the
focal width of an eyepiece, the smaller the magnication. There is a simple formula for calculating the
magnication:

stance, a church tower). Focus in on the object with the focus knob (1).

Notes on cleaning
• Clean the eyepieces and lenses only with a soft, lint-free cloth, like a microbre cloth. To avoid scratching
the lenses, use only gentle pressure with the cleaning cloth.

• To remove more stubborn dirt, moisten the cleaning cloth with an eyeglass-cleaning solution, and wipe
the lenses gently.
• Protect the device from dust and moisture. After use, particularly in high humidity, let the device ac-
climatise for a short period of time, so that the residual moisture can dissipate before storing.
How to install & use the BRESSER ARTelescope app
To download the application
Method 1:
Using your smart device, scan any of the App Download QR codes on page 3 to download and install the
ARTelescope App.
Method 2:
Download and install the ARTelescope App by searching through the Apple Store or Google Play.
To activate the application
After installing, open the application. For the ARTelescope App to function properly, you will need to allow
it to access the camera, location and Bluetooth functions on your smart device. Next, select your preferred
language. Activate the application by scanning the activation QR code on page 3.
Important: Please keep this activation code to be able to activate more devices.

Using the ARTelescope App
After launching the application, tap the “Star Seeking”
icon in the middle of the screen to access the Bluetooth
interface.
Note: Bluetooth on your device will need to be enabled.
Now insert your Smartphone into the adapter (6).
If the device is placed in the adapter on the telescope,
click “Automatic Search” to match and enter the AR star
search module.
Set the language
Go to the home menu screen and click the globe icon in the upper left corner to enter
the language switch function.

Go to the home menu screen, click the upper right corner to enter the 3D assembly animation of the
telescope, and click the animation play button to watch the 3D assembly animation in the freely rotating
interface.
Encyclopedia for constellations
Go to the home menu screen, click the encyclopedia icon in the lower left corner to access information
on constellations and solar system objects. Tap on an object for information that includes pictures, text
and audio.
Encyclopedia for solar system objects
Go to the encyclopedia screen, click the “solar system” icon to access information about the solar sys-
tem objects. Tap on an object for information that includes pictures, text and audio.

Constellation quiz
Go to the main home screen and tap the icon in the lower left corner to enter the multiple choice quiz
mode.
AR constellation photo function
Go to the home menu screen, click the AR constellation function in the lower right. The names and out-
lines of constellations in the viewing area will appear as you move your device across the night
sky. You can take a photo of the constellation in AR mode by allowing the application to access your
device’s camera.
Notes
• Permission to open the camera, album, and location of the device will pop up when the App is launched
for the first time. Please tap “Allow” to confirm approval.
• When the position deviation of the star finder module is large, manual calibration of position and
direction can be carried out by calibrating the Magnetometer in settings.

Smartphone holder (For eyepieces)
Open the flexible holder and put your smartphone in it. Close the holder and make sure your phone is
properly secured. The camera must be positioned exactly above the eyepiece. Open the locking clip on the
back of the holder and fit the eyepiece exactly onto your smartphone camera. Now retighten the locking
clip and attach the smartphone adaptor to the eyepiece of your telescope. Now start the camera app. If the
image is not yet centered on your display, loosen the locking clip slightly and readjust. It may be necessary
to use the zoom function to fill the image on the display. A slight shading at the edges is possible. Remove
the smartphone from the holder after use!
WARNING
Make sure that the smartphone can not slip out of the holder. Bresser GmbH assumes no liability for any
damages caused by a dropped smartphone.
Telescope ABC’s What do the following terms mean?
Focal length:
Everything that magnies an object via an optic (lens) has a certain focal length. The focal length is the
length of the path the light travels from the surface of the lens to its focal point. The focal point is also refer-
red to as the focus. In focus, the image is clear. In the case of a telescope, the focal length of the telescope
tube and the eyepieces are combined.
Lens:
The lens turns the light that falls on it around in such a way so that the light gives a clear image in the focal
point after it has traveled a certain distance (focal length).
Amici Prism (diagonal) (3):
A roof prism that redirects the light beam at a right angle. With a horizontal te-
lescope tube, this device deects the light upwards so that you can comfortably
observe by looking downwards into the eyepiece. The image appears upright and
laterally correct through an amici prism.
Barlow Lens (4):
The Barlow lens can be used to increase the focal width of a telescope.
