instructions is not qualied to install this product.
• Never handle the warmer while it is
in operation. Always disconnect the
warmer from the power source and
allow to cool prior to handling.
• Inspect warmer before use.
• Do not wrap the warmer over itself.
• If spillage of foreign matter onto
warmer occurs, disconnect from
power source and clean after
warmer is allowed to cool.
• Never operate a warmer without an
appropriate heat sink (device being
heated is considered a heat sink).
• Fasten warmer to device using
approved methods only.
• Do not repair damaged or faulty
warmers.
• Do not crush or apply severe
physical stress on warmer or cord
assembly.
• Disconnect warmer when not in
use.
• Use specied sized warmer with
same sized drum. Do not use for
other applications.
Failure to observe these warnings may
result in personal injury or damage to the
warmer.
End-User Must Comply to the Following:
• Only qualied personnel are allowed to connect
electrical wiring.
• Disconnect all supply power at the source before
making any power connections.
• All electrical wiring must follow local electrical
codes, it is highly recommended that NEC Article
427 is followed.
• Final installation / wiring is to be inspected by the
authority who has jurisdiction in the area where
the warmer is installed.
• The end-user is responsible for providing a
suitable disconnecting device.
• The end-user is responsible for providing a
suitable electrical protection device. It is highly
recommended that a ground fault circuit breaker
is used.
Failure to observe these warnings may result in
personal injury or damage to the warmer.
• Do not immerse warmer in liquid.
• Keep volatile or combustible material away from
warmer when in use.

INSTALLATION OF WARMER
1. Select a suitable location on the drum, below the lowest expected content
level. For almost all applications, the heater should be installed on the bottom 1/3
of the drum to attain best results.
2. Wrap the warmer around the drum. Extend the spring attached to the metal
tab; latch the spring loop onto the hook on the opposite side as shown in Figure
1 on the page 5.
3. Verify there are no air gaps between the warmer and the drum.
4. Connect to AC power. Refer to page 5 for suggestions.
The warmer MUST make continuous contact with the drum.
Do not overlap the drum warmer onto itself or another
warmer.

1. Check for suspected damage to the warmer like rips, punctures, etc.
2. Verify surface to be heated is free from all sharp edges, weld splatter, rust, oil,
etc.
3. Check that the desired placement of the warmer will not cause damage to the
heater through impact shock, vibration, ambient temperature, or by neighboring
moving parts.
4. Conrm voltage / wattage rating of warmer is appropriate for power supply.
The warmer is designed to work at a specic voltage to heat properly. For
additional information, contact BriskHeat®.
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
5. Conrm warmer maximum exposure temperature rating is suitable for
environment. The tolerable exposure temperature range is between -60ºF
to 450ºF (-51ºC to 232ºC). The temperature of the warmer’s internal heating
element may run up to 25% higher than the external surface of the warmer.
6. Do NOT connect to AC power until all installation steps are completed.
SUMMARY OF OPERATION
1. BriskHeat®Drum / Pail Warmers are designed to heat the contents of
metal or plastic drums / pails.
2. These drum warmers are integrated with a built-in automatic preset
thermostat that regulates between 67°F ± 9°F and 85°F ± 5°F.
3. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
CONNECTING WARMER TO AC POWER
The DHCS-R series drum / pail warmers are designed to work at 120VAC and
are equiped with a 6-foot power cord and a standard 3-prong wall plug. Refer to
the lead wire label or stamp located on the warmer for rated voltage and wattage.
Failure to operate the drum heater at its rated voltage could
cause damage to the warmer, surface being heated, or contents
of drum.
All electrical connections must be made by qualied personnel
and in accordance with all local codes and regulations.
Properly sized circuit breakers must be used.
The end-user is responsible for providing a suitable electrical
protection device. It is highly recommended that a ground fault
circuit breaker be used.
OPERATION OF WARMER
The DHCS-R series drum / pail warmers have an automatic pre-adjusted
thermostat. The temperature will detect ambient temperature and regulate heat
between 67°F ± 9°F and 85°F ± 5°F. Warmer will automatically start warming
when plugged to the power source. For best results, cover heating area with 1/2”
berglass insulation or equivalent.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
BriskHeat®warrants to the original purchaser for the period of twelve (12) months from date of
purchase, BriskHeat®’s obligation and the exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be limited
to the repair or replacement, at BriskHeat®’s option, of any parts of the product which may prove
defective under prescribed use and service following BriskHeat®‘s examination, is determined by

PROBLEM SOLUTION(S)
Does not heat Verify warmeris connected to proper voltage. The
identication label located on the power cord displays
the warmer’s voltage requirement.
Check to see if there is a resistance reading (not an
open circuit) in warmer using an ohm meter.
Circuit breaker is tripping Validate that the circuit breaker is capable of handling
the amp requirement of warmer. The identication
label located on the power cord displays the warmer’s
amperage requirement.
Examine warmer and cord for any damage.
Does not t Conrm that the warmer provided was designed to t
around your specic drum.
If the heater was designed for the specied drum,

Substance has spilled on the warmer Apply any general household cleaner, that does not
contain any silicone rubber dissolving type
ingredients, with a clean cloth fabric.
