Introduction
The WICED Sense TAG is made up of the BCM20737S
Bluetooth Low Energy SoC and five ST Microelectronics
sensors: gyroscope, accelerometer, eCompass, pressure,
and humidity/temperature. The BCM20737S connects directly
to the sensors without the need for an external micro-
processor. The WICED Sense smartphone application
receives and displays real-time data from the sensors.
Kit Contents
1. One WICED Sense TAG
2. One USB to Micro USB cable
3. This document, which contains information about how to
download all required software, including the:
• WICED Sense sample application for iOS.
• WICED Smart Software Development Kit 2.X
Setup
Pair the WICED Sense TAG and an iPhone
1. From the iPhone 4S (or greater):
• Go to the iTunes App Store.
• Search for and download the WICED Sense app.
2. When the download is complete, start the WICED Sense
app.
3. On the WICED Sense TAG:
• Remove the plastic shipping strip in the battery
compartment (pull the tab).
• Press the Wake button. See the WICED Sense TAG
illustration for the location of the Wake button.
4. On the phone, the app will display the WICED Sense kits
that are ready to pair. Tap the desired kit to complete
pairing.
Tap the information icon ("i") in the lower-left corner of the
iPhone screen for application information.
