USE INSTRUCTIONS
For Spirit Level UA-1480

Spirit Level UA-1480 can be used for aligning Swivel Base UA-1473 and
UA-1478.
Mounting an accelerometer using the spirit level:
1) Make sure that all mounting surfaces (on the spirit level, swivel
base and test object) are clean and smooth. For the best high-
frequency response, grease the mounting surfaces of both the
accelerometer and the swivel base’s clip.
2) Apply a little hot glue or wax onto the flat bottom of the swivel
base’s hemispherical dome and press it tightly to the test object.
3) Attach the clip part of the swivel base to the spirit level.
4) Apply a little hot glue or wax to the concave bottom of the clip.
Place the clip onto the hemispherical dome and press tightly to
mount. If glue is used, make sure the glue hardens before
releasing.
5) Use the spirit level to align the swivel base according to the axes of
the reference system. The bubble indicates the horizontal plane.
The shaft can be used as a pointer to gauge the third direction.
6) When aligned, detach the spirit level.
7) Mount the accelerometer onto the clip.
