SAFETY
• Never exceed the load capacity of the lift installed according to
Bruno instructions:350 lb (159 kg)
• Never use the ASL-275 to lift or transport people.
• Do not allow children to play on or under the lift platform.
• Regularly examine the ASL-275 for loose hardware and attachments.
Tighten as necessary.
• Load and unload from/to as level an area as possible.
• Maintain a safe distance from moving lift parts.
• Avoid unloading into vehicular trac.
• Make sure mobility device (scooter or powerchair) is OFF before
attaching it to the lift.
• Do not remove any guards or covers.
• Do not operate the ASL-275 while seated on the mobility device.
• Operate the ASL-275 from the side of the unit, not the front.
• Keep feet and legs at a safe distance from the lift platform.
• Check for obstructions under the platform prior to lowering the platform.
• Adjust your driving to address the handling limitations imposed on the vehicle by the additional
weight of the ASL-275 plus the mobility device.
• Reduce your speed until you become familiar with your vehicle’s turning and braking
performance with the lift installed.
• Avoid sudden maneuvers. Anticipate turns, stops and lane changes.
• Be aware that the addition of the ASL-275 and a mobility device may cause your vehicle to be
more susceptible to crosswinds.
• Use caution when driving a lift-equipped vehicle on slippery road surfaces (snow, ice, loose gravel).
• Reduce your speed when travelling on bumpy roads, over railroad crossings, street gutters and
other road surface irregularities.
• Be aware that the ASL-275 adds length to your vehicle. Back up carefully.
• Remove any loose items from the mobility device before transporting it. Be sure batteries are
securely strapped or clamped in place.
• Before taking the lift through a car wash:
• verify that the car wash is a touchless system;
• remove the mobility device from the lift;
• run platform UP to folded position.

Scooters Using Hold-Tite Mechanism
Loading
1. Flip open switch cover.
2. Press and hold the UP switch to raise the
platform/mobility device, and to automatically
lower the Hold-Tite mechanism.
3. Release the switch when the platform reaches
the uppermost position.
4. Verify that the Hold-Tite foot contacts the
scooter deck and secures the scooter. The
scooter should not move. Adjust the Hold-Tite
foot, if necessary (a) and (b).
Unloading
1. Open the keyswitch cover.
2. Insert the key and turn to the ON position.
3. Flip open the switch cover.
4. Press and hold the DOWN switch to
lower the platform/mobility device, and to
automatically lift the Hold-Tite mechanism.
5. Release the switch when the platform
reaches the ground.
6. Drive it o of the platform.
7. Press and hold the UP switch to raise the
platform and fold it in its raised home position.
8. Turn the key to the OFF position.
9. Close the keyswitch cover.

General Instructions
1. Open the keyswitch cover.
2. Flip open switch cover on mast tube.
3. Insert the key and turn it to ON position.
4. Press and hold the DOWN switch to lower
the platform.
5. Release the switch when the platform

POWERCHAIRS USING HOLD-TITE
Powerchairs Using Hold-Tite Mechanism:
Loading
1. Raise the powerchair armrests.
2. Pull the T-handle out and turn it to the horizontal
position. Release.
3. Rotate the pivot arm over the powerchair
seat (approx. 90 degrees).
4. Turn the T-handle back to the vertical position.
Release. It will click into the locked position.
5. Flip open the switch cover.
6. Press and hold the UP switch to raise the
platform/mobility device.
NOTE: The lift will make a ratcheting sound
when it has reached the upper stop position.
7. Release the switch when the pivot arm rmly
compresses the powerchair seat cushion. (It
should be dicult to insert your ngers under
the pivot arm at the edge of the cushion. See
photo at left.)
Unloading
1. Raise the powerchair armrests.
2. Flip open the switch cover.
3. Press and hold the DOWN switch to lower
the platform/mobility device.
4. Pull the T-handle out and turn it to the
horizontal position. Release.
5. Rotate the pivot arm o the powerchair seat
(approx. 90 degrees).
6. Turn the T-handle back to the vertical
position. Release. It will click into the locked
position.
7. Drive the powerchair o the platform.
8. Press and hold the UP switch to raise the
platform and fold it in its home position.
9. Turn the key to the OFF position.
10. Close the keyswitch cover.

Retractable belt hooks

USING RETRACTABLE BELTS
Scooters, Powerchairs Using Retractable Belts
Have an authorized Bruno dealer remove the
mobility device seat, mount the docking plate
(see left) between the seat and the swivel plate
of the mobility device and place the seat assembly
back on the mobility device.
Loading
1. Open the keyswitch cover.
2. Insert the key and turn it to the ON position.
3. Make sure an authorized Bruno dealer
has installed the docking plate shown
earlier in this manual.
4. Flip open the switch cover.
5. Press and hold the UP switch to raise the
platform/mobility device.
6. Release the switch when the platform
reaches the uppermost position.
7. Secure the mobility device to the
platform using the ratcheting belts.
8. Turn the key to the OFF position.
9. Remove the key from the key switch.
10. Close the key switch cover.
Platform belts
• Press inner release tab down (Fig. 2).
• Push large orange tab UP (Figs. 3 and 4).
• Pull strap up and hook to mobility device.
• Press inner release tab and hold while pressing
large orange tab down to home position (Fig. 1).
NOTE: You will hear the tab click into its home
position. The strap will “auto ratchet” to
secure the mobility device on the ASL-275.

Unloading
1. Loosen the belts pressing the inner
release tab.
2. Unhook the retractable belts from the
plate secured to the bottom of the
mobility device seat.
3. Open the keyswitch cover.
4. Insert the key and turn it to the ON position.
5. Flip open the switch cover.
6. Press and hold the DOWN switch to lower
the platform/mobility device.
7. Release the switch when the platform
reaches the ground.
8. Press and hold the UP switch to raise the
platform and fold it in its home
position.
9. Turn the key to the OFF position.
10. Close the keyswitch cover.

SWING-AWAY
The Swing-Away allows access
to the vehicle rear hatch when
an ASL-275 is installed on the
vehicle.
Do NOT operate the Swing-
Away with a mobility device
on board.
To gain access to the vehicle’s
hatch:
1. Lift the latch handle.
2. Swing the ASL-275 out and
away from the vehicle.
3. The vehicle hatch may now be
opened.
To return the Swing-Away to its
closed and locked position:
1. Close the vehicle hatch.
2. Swing the ASL-275 in toward
the vehicle.
3. Push the lever back to the
closed position.

EMERGENCY OPERATION
To perform manual operation of lift:
1. Rotate and lift cap covering tail shaft
in order to access motor shaft.
2. Turn the key switch to OFF.
2. Slide the emergency crank on the end
of the motor shaft as shown.
3. Rotate the crank:
• clockwise to raise platform;
• counterclockwise to lower platform.
NOTE:
A 3/8" electric drill
may be used to
crank shaft during
emergency
operation.
MAINTENANCE
Bruno recommends having a qualied
Bruno dealer clean, inspect and perform
any necessary repairs and adjustments at
least every twelve (12) months.
Maintenance is recommended more often
if the lift is used (a) many times per day
and/or (b) in harsh environments.
WARNING: Read vehicle manufacturers
(OEM) instructions about the vehicle’s
electrical system BEFORE working on the
vehicle. Vehicle OEMs have model specic
requirements about battery disconnection
when performing work on a vehicle.
Disconnecting batteries incorrectly or working
on a vehicle with batteries improperly in
the circuit MAY cause loss of vehicle data,
damage vehicle wiring system or even
cause airbags to deploy. This information
can be found in the VEHICLE OWNER’S
MANUAL or the VEHICLE REPAIR GUIDE.

The quality of parts we use and the care our employees take allow Bruno to provide the original buyer of
its Bruno Vehicle Lift with a 3-year warranty that all parts are free of defects in material and
workmanship.
Bruno’s warranty periods begin with the date of the installation of the Bruno Vehicle Lift.
Bruno Authorized Dealers are trained to evaluate your unique situation and then install the best Bruno
product to meet your needs. The trained installation and service technicians employed by Bruno Authorized
Dealers have the appropriate equipment and resources needed to correctly install and maintain your new
vehicle lift and are the rst contact for any warranty or service needs.
SPECIFICS OF THE WARRANTY COVERAGE:
◊ All Parts are free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of three years after the date of
installation.
◊ All labor to address any product defect by a Bruno Authorized Dealer is covered for the rst 30 days
after installation.
WHAT IS NOT WARRANTY COVERAGE:
◊ Damage to units caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, neglect or modications NOT made by a Bruno

SÉCURITÉ
• Ne jamais dépasser la capacité de charge du treuil installé selons
les instructions Bruno : 159 kg (350 po).
• Ne jamais se servir de l’ASL-275 pour le levage ou le transport des
personnes.
• Ne pas permettre aux enfants de jouer sur la plateforme du treuil,
ni sous ladite plateforme.
• Examiner régulièrement l’ASL-275. Rechercher l’existence
d’éléments desserrés. Les resserrer au besoin.
• Charger et décharger à partir d’une surface aussi horizontale
que possible.
• Se tenir à une distance sûre des pièces en mouvement.
• Éviter tout déchargement dans la circulation des véhicules.
• Couper l’alimentation de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité (tri-quadriporteur/fauteuil roulant
électrique) avant de xer l’appareil en position sur le treuil.
• Ne démonter aucun dispositif de protection.
• Ne pas faire fonctionner l’ASL-275 si une personne est assise sur l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
• Lors du fonctionnement de l’ASL-275, se tenir à côté du treuil et non pas devant le treuil.
• Éloigner les pieds et les jambes à une distance sûre de la plateforme du treuil.
• Rechercher la présence d’objets gênants sous la plateforme avant d’abaisser la plateforme.
• Modier votre manière de conduire an de faire face aux limitations de manoeuvrabilité
imposées au véhicule à cause du poids supplémentaire de l’ASL-275 ajouté au poids de
l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
• Réduire la vitesse jusqu’à ce que l’on se familiarise avec les perfomances de virage et de
freinage du véhicule lorsque le treuil est installé sur le véhicule.
• Éviter toute manoeuvre brusque. Prévoir les virages, les stops et les changements de voie.
• Être informé(e). Se rappeler que l’installation de l’ASL-275 chargé d’un appareil d’aide à la
mobilité peut entraîner une susceptiblité accrue du véhicule aux vents de travers.
• Être prudent(e) lors de la conduite d’un véhicule équipé d’un ASL-275, surtout sur les surfaces
routières glissantes (routes glacées, enneigées, engravier).
• Réduire la vitesse lorsque l’on roule sur les routes cahoteuses et que l’on traverse les passages
à niveau, les caniveaux et autres surfaces routières irrégulières.
• Être conscient(e) que l’ASL-700 augmente la longueur de votre véhicule. Faire marche arrière
avec prudence.
• Enlever tout objet dégagé de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité avant de transporter cet appareil.
S’assurer de la bonne fixation des batteries.
• Avant d’amener le treuil dans un lave-auto :
• vérier que le lave-auto est du type sans contact ;
• décharger l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité du treuil ;
• mettre la plateforme à sa position repliée.

Chargement
1. Faire pivoter la plaquette protectrice de
l’interrupteur à bascule.
2. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur
UP (soulèvement) pour soulever la plateforme
chargée de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité et
pour abaisser automatiquement le mécanisme
Hold-Tite.
3. Relâcher l’interrupteur lorsque la plateforme
atteint sa position la plus haute.
4. Vérier que le pied Hold-Tite touche le
plancher du tri-quadriporteur et qu’il xe le
tri-quadriporteur en position. Le tri-quadri-
porteur doit rester immobile. Régler le pied
Hold-Tite au besoin (a et b).
Déchargement
1. Ouvrir le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.
2. Insérer la clé et la tourner sur ON (marche).
3. Faire pivoter la plaquette protectrice de
l’interrupteur à bascule.
4. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur
DOWN (abaissement) pour abaisser la plateforme
chargée de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité et
pour soulever automatiquement le mécanisme
Hold-Tite.
5. Relâcher l’interrupteur lorsque la plateforme
touche le sol.
6. Décharger l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité de
la plateform.
7. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur
UP (soulèvement) pour soulever la plateforme
et la replier à sa position de départ.
8. Tourner la clé sur OFF (arrêt).
9. Fermer le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.

Instructions générales

Chargement
1. Soulever les accoudoirs du fauteuil.
2. Tirer la poignée en T et la tourner sur sa position
horizontale. La relâcher.
3. Faire pivoter le bras de manière à ce qu’il
soit positionné au dessus du siège du fauteuil
roulant électrique (90 degrés approx.).
4. Retourner la poignée en T à sa position
verticale. La relâcher. Elle se verrouillera. On
entendra un clic.
5. Ouvrir le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.
6. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur
UP (soulèvement) pour soulever la plateforme
chargée de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
À NOTER: Lorsque le treuil arrive à sa position la
plus haute, il émet un bruit de cliquetis.
7. Relâcher l’interrupteur lorsque le coussin du
siège du fauteuil est fortement comprimé
par le bras. (Il doit être dicile d’insérer les
doigts sous le bras au bord du coussin. Voir
photo à gauche.)
Déchargement
1. Soulever les accoudoirs du fauteuil..
2. Ouvrir le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.
3. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur
DOWN (abaissement) pour abaisser la plateforme
chargée de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
4. Tirer la poignée en T et la tourner sur sa position
horizontale. La relâcher.
5. Faire pivoter le bras de manière à ce qu’il
s’écarte du siège du fauteuil roulant électrique
(90 degrés approx.)
6. Retourner la poignée en T à sa position
verticale. La relâcher. Elle se verrouillera. On
entendra un clic.
7. Drive the powerchair o the platform.
8. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur
UP (soulèvement) pour soulever la plateforme
et la replier à sa position de départ.
9. Tourner la clé sur OFF (arrêt).
10. Fermer le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.

Demander à un distributeur agréé Bruno de démonter
le siège de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité, de monter
la plaquette d’ancrage (voir à gauche) entre le siège et
la plaque de pivotement de l’appareil et de remonter le
tout sur l’appareil.
Chargement
1. Ouvrir le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.
2. Insérer la clé. Tourner la clé sur ON (marche).
3. S’assurer de la bonne installation de la
plaquette d’ancrage par un distributeur Bruno
agréé.
4. Ouvrir le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.
5. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur UP
(soulèvement) pour soulever la plateforme chargée
de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
6. Relâcher l’interrupteur lorsque la plateforme atteint
sa position la plus haute.
7. Fixer l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité à la plate-
forme à l’aide des courroies d’arrimage.
8.
Tourner la clé sur OFF (arrêt).
9. Retire la clé.
10. Fermer le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.
Courroies de plateforme
• Appuyer sur la petite patte de dégagement “cachée”
derrière la patte d’avant (Fig. 2).
• Pousser la grande patte orange d’avant vers le haut (Figs. 3 et 4).
• Tirer sur la courroie et l’accrocher à l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
• Appuyer sans interruption sur la petite patte de dégagement, tout en
poussant la grande patte orange vers le bas jusqu’à ce qu’elle atteigne
sa position de départ (Fig. 1).
À NOTER: On entendra un “clic” lorsque la grande patte retrouve sa position
de départ. Le mécanisme à cliquet s’engage automatiquement
pour xer solidement l’appareil à l’ASL-275.

Déchargement
1. Relâcher les courroies (voir photo à gauche).
2. Décrocher les courroies de la plaquette
d’ancrage installé au dessous du siège de
l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
3. Ouvrir le couvercle de l’interrupteur à clé.
4. Insérer la clé. La tourner sur ON (marche).
5. Faire pivoter la plaquette protectrice de
l’interrupteur à bascule.
6. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur
DOWN (abaissement) pour abaisser la plateforme
chargée de l’appareil d’aide à la mobilité.
7. Relâcher l’interrupteur lorsque la plateforme touche
le sol.
8. Appuyer sans interruption sur l’interrupteur UP
(soulèvement) pour soulever la plateforme et la
replier à sa position de départ.
9. Tourner la clé sur OFF (arrêt).

SWING-AWAY
Le Swing-Away permet d’accéder au hayon arrière
lorqu’un ASL-275 est monté sur le véhicule.
NE PAS faire fonctionner le Swing-Away
lorsque le treuil est chargé d’un appareil
d’aide à la mobilité.
Pour accéder au hayon du véhicule :
1. Soulever la poignée.
2. Faire pivoter l’ASL-275 à l’écart du véhicule.
3. Ouvrir le hayon.
Pour retourner le Swing-Away à sa position fermée
et verrouillée :
1. Fermer le hayon du véhicule.
2. Faire pivoter l’ASL-275 dans la direction du
véhicule.
3. Retourner le levier à sa position fermée.

EN CAS DE PANNE
Pour faire fonctionner manuellement le treuil :
1. Tourner le bouchon protecteur d’arbre
puis le démonter pour donneraccès à
l’arbre du moteur.
2. Tourner la clé sur OFF (arrêt).
3. Glisser la manivelle d’urgence sur
l’arbre du moteur selon l’illustration.
4. Tourner la manivelle :
• dans le sens horaire pour soulever
la plateforme;
• dans le sens
antihoraire pour
abaisser la plate-
forme.
À NOTER :
On peut se servir
d’une perceuse
électrique de 3/8 po
pour tourner l’arbre
pendant l’intervention
d’urgence.
MAINTENANCE
Bruno recommande de demander à un
distributeur agréé Bruno de nettoyer et
d’examiner l’ASL-275 au moins tous les
douze (12) mois, et d’eectuer toute
réparation et tout réglage nécessaires.
Une intervention de maintenance plus
fréquente est recommandée en cas
d’utilisation du treuil (a) pluisieurs fois
par jour et/ou (b) dans des conditions
rigoureuses.

Demander à une personne apte physiquement
de tourner la manivelle d’urgence.
AVERTISSEMENT : Lire les instructions fournies
par le fabricant (FEO/OEM) relatives au circuit
électrique du véhicule AVANT d’eectuer
des interventions d’entretien sur le véhicule. Pour
chaque modèle de véhicule, le fabricant (FEO/OEM)
indique les critères spéciques concernant le
débranchement de la batterie auxquelles il faut répondre
lors des interventions d’entretien. Le débranchement
erroné de la batterie ou l’exécution d’interventions
d’entretien sur le véhicule dont la batterie est relié
incorrectement dans le circuit PEUT entraîner la
perte de données du système informatique du
véhicule, l’endommagement du circuit électrique du
véhicule, ou même le déploiement des coussins
gonables. Ces informations se trouvent dans
le GUIDE DE L’UTILISATEUR ou le GUIDE
D’ENTRETIEN DU VÉHICULE.
