ProductSpecifications:
The SolarRoll is a flexible solar panel that produces 14 watts, 9 watts, or 4.5 watts ofpower with a
loaded current and voltage of 15.1V*.This product offersreverse current protection. TheSolarRoll
is designed to operate in a temperture range of-22°F to +122°F (-30°C to +50°C)
The SolarRoll consists of photovoltaic cells and will produce power when any of these segments
areexposedtosunlight.Thismeansthatyoucanpartiallyunrollthepanelandstillutilizethepow-
er provided. Each segment produces an average of 50mA. To calculate the amount of power your
panel will produce when partially unrolled, count the number of segments that you have rolled
out and then multiply by 50mA. The voltage stays the same when rolled out entirely or partially.
Fully extended, the SolarRolls produce 900mA, 600mA, or 300mA, depending on wich SolarRoll
you own. They can also be linked to other SolarRolls of the same wattage to double the current
output. Due to the amount of current present, we recommend that no more than three panels be
put in a series atone time.
The SolarRoll iswaterproof and can be submerged allthe way up to the electricalconnectors and
not be damaged. Avoid getting the electrical outlets wet. This could cause a direct short of the
panel and may permanently damage your product. Use caution when using any electrical appli-
ance.
Positioning:
Unroll the SolarRoll with the photovoltaic cells facing up or secure the panel in place with the
grommets provided around the exterior edge of the panel. For best results position the panel so
that it can receive the maximum amount of sun exposure. Plug into the panel with the cables pro-
vided. The SolarRoll can be left plugged into any device overnight without it draining the battery
because of the built-in reverse current protection.

Caution: Always position the panel first, and then connect the device being powered. If these
steps are accomplished in the reverse order, damage may occur to the device being powered.
If using the SolarRoll to power a battery charger, do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable
alkaline batteries.
Rolling Instructions:
This panel should always be rolled lengthwise with the solar cells facing out. It should never be
rolled tighter than 3 inches in diameter. Rolling this panel in any other way will void the 1 year
warranty.

Brunton warrants this productto be free of defectsin materialsand workmanship, for
a period of one year. This warranty extends to the originalpurchaser for one year from
the date of purchase. This warranty is void and a charge for repair will be made if the
SolarRoll hasbeen damaged by negligence, accidentor mishandling, or has not been
operated in accordance with standard operating procedures, or if the SolarRoll was al-
teredorrepairedbyanyoneotherthanaBruntonrepairfacility.Thiswarrantygivesyou
specificlegal rights, andyoualso have rights, whichvaryfrom state to state. No other
warranty, expressed or implied, applies to the Brunton product, nor is any person or
company authorized to assume any other warranty for Brunton. Brunton does not as-
sume any responsibility for any consequential damages occasioned by this product.
Should the product prove defective, contact Brunton, and you will be provided with a
ReturnAuthorizationNumber (RA#). Send a copyofyourproofof purchase,the RA#, a
short description of the problem and the product to Brunton at the following address.

Pour calculer l’intensité du courant produitpar le panneau partiellement déroulé, il suffit de mul-
tiplier 50 mA par le nombre de segments exposésau soleil. La tension du courant reste la même,
que le panneau soit déroulé entièrement ou partiellement. Lorsqu’il est entièrement déroulé, le
SolarRollfournitun courant de900 mA, 600mA, ou300mA.Ilpeutégalement être relié à un autre
SolarRollpour doubler le courantdesortie. En raisondu courantproduit, ilestrecommandédene
pas monter plus de deuxpanneaux en parallèle à la fois.
Le SolarRoll est étanche et peut être submergé jusqu’à la limite des connecteurs électriques sans
que cela l’endommage. Évitez cependant de mouiller les connecteurs électriques. Cela court-
circuiterait directement le panneau et risquerait de l’endommager définitivement. Tout appareil
électrique doit s’utiliser avec précautions.
Mise en place
Déroulez le SolarRoll avec les cellules photovoltaïques vers le haut ou fixez-le avec les œillets si-
tuéssurlabordure extérieure. Orientez lepanneaude façonà maximiserson exposition ausoleil.
Branchez l’appareil à alimenter avec les câbles fournis. Le SolarRoll intègre une protection contre

les courants inverses qui permet de laisser un appareil électrique branché au panneau toute la
nuit sans risquer de vider la batterie.
Attention – Installez toujours le panneau avant d’y raccorder l’appareilà alimenter. L’inversion
de ces étapes risquerait d’endommager l’appareil alimenté. Lorsque le SolarRoll est utilisé pour
alimenter un chargeur de piles, n’essayez pas de recharger des piles alcalines non recharge-
ables.
Enroulement du panneau
Ce panneau doit toujours être enroulé dans le sens de la longueur, cellules solaires orientées
vers l’extérieur. Le rouleau ainsi formé ne doit jamais être serré au point de former un rouleau
de moins de 76 mm (3 pouces) de diamètre. Le non-respect de ces instructions d’enroulement
annule la garantie.
