5. OPERATION
WARNING
Do not place the device too close to the electromagnetic scope. (Radio, mobile
phone, etc.)
Hair and sweat on the forehead may aect the accuracy of measurements. Dierent
skin colours and thicknesses may give slightly dierent measuring temperatures.
When the tested person comes from a dierent temperature environment, one shall
stay in the measuring environment for 15 minutes before measuring.

5.2 Function Selection
°C or °F Press and hold the "M" button, and click the "+" Button.
Short press the backlight button to turn the backlight on or o.
Historical data viewing: The instrument will automatically
record up to 32 historical measurement data. To view data,
quickly press the "M" button & release and then "+" or
"-". Press "-"to view the last temperature record, and press
"+" for the farthest record. Press + or – again to view them
one by one.
The sequence of the 32 memories data will follow by the
relevant readings.

5.4 LCD Error Messages
The Thermometer incorporates visual diagnostic messages as follows:
‘Hi’ or ’Lo’ is displayed when the temperature being
measured is outside of the measurement range. It is invalid
measurement. These measurement results will not be
recorded nor counted.
The Thermometer is a non-contact infrared thermometer and always with Real-Time Maximum
(MAX) data. Please remember to keep away from children and not use them for safety-related
issues.

The condition of the measuring spot should be stable without ample airow, i.e. Fan
or air-con blower.

The default setting of the Thermometer is Body temperature.
Change to Object temperature: press and hold the "M"
button, and click the buzzer button to measure Object surface
temperature (note: Object temperature has no icon shown on
LCD).
Change to Body temperature: press and hold the "M" button
and click the backlight button to measure body temperature
(note: Body temperature has an icon on LCD).

When you need to measure non-body temperature
(object surface temperature), it can be switched to object
temperature mode as described above.
The use of this Thermometer is not a substitute for a doctor’s diagnosis.6)

6. MAINTENANCE
6.1 Fitting and replacing the Battery
The Thermometer incorporates visual low battery indication as follows:
When the Low Battery icon "LOB" indicates the Battery is low, Battery should be replaced
with a 6F22 9V battery.
Pay attention to the polarity of the battery connection. This device is designed with an anti-
reverse connection to the Battery. It will not damage the device but will not work until the
correct connection is made.
Do not use a rechargeable battery; an alkaline Battery is recommended.

6.2 Storage & Cleaning
The sensor lens is the most delicate part of the Thermometer. The lens should be kept clean at
all times; care should be taken when cleaning the lens using only a soft cloth or cotton swab with
water or medical alcohol. Allowing the lens to dry entirely before using the Thermometer. Do not
submerge any part of the Thermometer. The Thermometer should be stored at room temperature
between -20 to +65°C (-4~149°F) and 85% of relative humidity with no condensation or less.

8. SERVICE
8.1 Limited Warranty Conditions
This Thermometer is guaranteed against any material fault or manufacturer’s defect under the
general conditions of sale. During the warranty period (12 months from shipment date), faulty
parts may be replaced, with the manufacturer reserving the right to repair or replace the product.
The customer pays the inward outward transporter when returning the Thermometer to the
after-sales service or a regional branch. The delivery must be agreed upon in advance with the
consignee.
For delivery, indicate the reasons for returning it through an enclosed note as simple as possible.
Use only the original packing.
Any damage caused by shipment using NOT the original packaging will be charged in any case
to the consignor.
The manufacturer will not be responsible for any damage to persons or things.
The warranty does not apply to the following cases:
Accessories and batteries are not included in the warranty.
Unsuitable use of the Thermometer or combining the latter with incompatible Thermometer
or accessories.
Repairs resulting from incorrect shipping.

•Modications to the Thermometer without explicit authorization from our technical
department.

Inappropriate applications are not provided for by the denition of the Thermometer or by the
instruction manual.

8.2 Before calling Service
If the Thermometer should not work correctly, check the battery condition before contacting the
DEALER OR THE SERVICE CENTRE. Change it if necessary.
If the Thermometer still does not work, check if your operating procedure agrees with the
description in this manual.
