Vapori ing pot burner mu t have a
teady and continuou flue vacuum,
make ure that you check the terminal
po ition and a k que tion about
previou or prior chimney problem , if
there i any doubt about the
uitability, height or terminal po ition
do not take the job on.
Make ure that the chimney i high
enough to generate a teady reliable
vacuum.
If you line the chimney make ure
that you explain to the cu tomer
about the po ibility of cro wind
noi e ducting down the liner.
Make ure that you explain how the
conver ion will work and how the
converted appliance will differ in
relation to being fuelled by olid fuel.
Make ure that you explain how the
appliance will be controlled.
Make ure that you explain about the
running co t .
Where new oil torage tank are to be
in talled make ure that they comply
with OFTEC rule and Building Reg
Make ure that the appliance ha n’t
been modified with the addition of a
larger, none tandard boiler.
Make ure that cu tomer are aware
that the appliance will need to be
cleaned out and erviced in line with
the chedule.

to heat a hot water cylinder and a
heat leak rad or towel rail, if the
appliance ha a large boiler conver ion
fitted you will not be able to fit one
of the kit a tandard.

The vapori ing pot burner i de igned
to run continuou ly.
It i extremely imple and all that the
u er i required to do i operate the
oil flow control knob to achieve the
required oven or hot plate
temperature.
Upon tarting from cold, the burner
hould run until it get the oven up to
a working temperature, when thi
temperature i reached the oil flow i
et at the required number to match
the required oven temperature.
The burner fire vertically and the
flame trike the baffle which divert
the flu ga e on to critical internal
component .
The three factor , which affect the
performance of the appliance, are -:
The fuel flow rate elected. (From 1 -
6)
The chimney vacuum.
The u er.
It i not po ible to u e the oven
independently from the water heating.

Before tarting thi in tallation you
mu t make ab olutely ure that the
chimney doe not have a hi tory of
down draughting either intermittent
or permanent.
Before any work i carried out the
in taller mu t check the exi ting
chimney vacuum whil t the appliance i
running at a normal operating
temperature.
It i mo t important that all or any
exi ting chimney fault are
e tabli hed and corrected before the
conver ion work i carried out.
Hot and cold condition chimney mu t
have a vacuum of not le than .02"
W.G. when COLD or more than .06"
W.G. when HOT.
If there are any problem uch a : -
Occa ional down draught.
Exce ive up draught .
Fume leak .
Regular blockage .
If you are un ure about the condition
of the chimney, have it thoroughly
cleaned and checked by a uitably
qualified per on.
If there i a hi tory of exce ive or
intermittent updraughting it may be
nece ary to fit an extra automatic
flue draught regulator to allow for
extra control of the e condition .
Thi hould be fitted a near a
po ible to the appliance generally in
the open branch of a uitable tee.
Make ure that a uitably qualified
per on carrie out any remedial work.
The chimney hould terminate 2 feet
above the ridge of the main or highe t
roof, in compliance with relevant
legi lation.

will truggle to keep up with the
demand.
It i mo t important that all or any
exi ting heating y tem fault ,
(particularly on the plumbing ide) be
identified and rectified before
conver ion i carried out, it i the
re pon ibility of the in taller to
a e thi ituation and make
adequate recommendation to the
cu tomer.
Becau e thi i an exi ting olid fuel
y tem it hould have been in talled
to BS5449 part one.
A double feed indirect hot water
torage cylinder to BS1556 part one,
hould have been u ed and in order to
prevent the build up of cale and
corro ion a uitable inhibitor hould
have been in talled.
All pipe work in the primary circuit
mu t be 28 mm diameter and the pipe
work mu t be in talled to provide a
uitable heat leak ource (10,000
BTU, .) and adequate gravity
circulation.
Do not convert to pre uri ed
y tem , only open vented are
uitable.
Make ure that old boiler are not
blocked or heavily calcified.
Original Rayburn boiler can be
removed and in pected via the de
ludging acce panel on the rear of
the boiler

a metre or more than three metre
above the burner.
A 100-micron filter mu t be fitted
and the minimum fuel line diameter i
8 mm but thi i dependant upon the
length of run.
Two remote acting fire valve uch a
a Teddington KBB C 150 deg F with
uitable length capillary mu t be
fitted.
One at low level and one at high level.
The low-level phial bulb being mounted
near to the appliance.
Both valve bodie mu t be fitted at
the point where the fuel line enter
the property.

30.5 q cm cro ectional area.
If an extractor fan i fitted in the
