Safety Tips
• Position on a flat, stable surface.
• A service agent/qualified technician should carry out
installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any
components on this product.
• Consult Local and National Standards to comply with the

• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water above the MAX Fill
line, or use jet/pressure washers to clean the appliance
• Do not immerse the appliance below the MIN Fill line.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended
use.
• Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the
appliance when not in use.
• Not suitable for outdoor use..
• Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the

• DO NOT touch the outer surfaces of the appliance.
They become hot during use.

tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing
should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection,
Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation Continuity and
Functional Testing.

this machine will provide the best possible performance from your BUFFALO product.

Operation
1. Choose a suitable water container. Container
should be suitable for food use, resistant to
temperatures of 100°C and have a depth of at
least 200mm.
2. Fit the circulator securely to your water
container using the adjustable fixing clamp.
The clamp is adjustable for varying thickness
of container using the thickness adjusting
knob. The height of the circulator can also
be adjusted for different container depths by
pressing the height adjustment button.

3. Add water to the water bath.
Note: the water level (after the
food is put in) should be higher
than the MIN but lower than the
MAX marked on the machine.
4. Connect to the mains power supply.
5. Press the Temperature Display button
°C / °F to set the unit to display °C or °F.
Note: Default setting is °C.
After choosing °C or °F, the unit
will remember your setting for
future use.
6. Press TIME and TEMP
to set working time and temperature.
7. After setting time and temperature, press
to start the unit heating. Pressing
will stop the unit heating.
8. When the water reaches the desired
temperature place the food to be cooked into
the water bath.
Note: Before Sous Vide cooking,
the food should be vacuum
packed first.
9. When set time has expired the circulator will
beep. Press to stop the machine
heating.
Note: The machine will go on
beeping for 20 seconds. If there
is no action by the operator the
water temperature will be held
at the pre-set temperature.

Cleaning, Care &
Maintenance
• Disconnect from power by removing the
plug, allow to cool before any cleaning
and maintenance.
• The unit is fitted with a detachable filter. Clean
the filter after each use.

Cleaning the interior components
1. When the pump discharge volume is lower
significantly, or when the surface of the inside
components has gathered with too much
dirt, the metal cover protecting the interior
components can be removed for cleaning using
the Allen key supplied. Remove the 4 Hex
headed screws positioned on the bottom of the
unit.
2. Clean the heater and temperature probe gently
with wet cloth. It is recommended to clean the
interior components after every 20 times use
or every 100 hours use.

3. Reattach the back cover after cleaning.

without the back cover in place.

Maintenance
• Ensure to locate the unit vertically after cleaning.
• During cleaning, do not damage the interior components. Should any damage occur, call BUFFALO
agent or qualified technician. Do not attempt any unauthorized repairs to avoid accidents.
• Always use fresh water. If the water is reused many times, mineral substances may adhere to the
surface of the components, thus influence the appliance’s performance.
• For use, do not place hot appliance in cool water or vice versa. Let it cool down to room temperature
then lower into cool water for use. Otherwise the function and lifetime will be affected.
De-scaling
Why... Normally tap-water contains minerals. When water is heated to a certain temperature,
there will be scales accumulated on the heater or surface of the appliance, which will
affect its performance and contaminate the outlook as well.
We suggest cleaning the machine after every 20 times of use, or when accumulated
working time amounts to 100 hours or less. Or you can clean your appliance at
different intervals as water quality varies in different places.
When... After every 100 hours of use, the displays shows “CLEAN”. Meanwhile, the unit beeps
every time it is switched on to remind cleaning is needed.
Preparation A container over 18cm high, food grade vinegar (e.g. white vinegar)
How... 1. Put the unit into the container. Then fill the container with water and appropriate
amount of vinegar (ratio: 5g vinegar to 10L water) up to the Max marking on
the unit. CAUTION: Should any vinegar splash onto your eyes, rinse
immediately with fresh water and turn to a doctor if needed!
2. Plug in the unit. Press and hold and for 3s. The unit will enter
cleaning mode (working under 80°C for 3 hours).
3. Press to start cleaning. After 3 hours, the machine will beep, then cut off
power automatically.
4. Dispose of the solution of water and vinegar properly. Do not use the same solution
for a second time. If the results are not satisfactory, repeat the above operations.
5. Clean the unit and container with fresh water thoroughly, then dry and store in a
well-ventilated place.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 10 amp fuse as standard.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

(minstens jaarlijks) door een bevoegde persoon wordt getest.
Tests moeten omvatten, maar zijn niet beperkt tot: visuele
inspectie, polariteit, aardings continuïteit, isolatie continuïteit
en functionele test.
Inleiding
Neem de tijd om deze handleiding aandachtig door te lezen. Correct gebruik en onderhoud van deze

Bediening
1. Kies een geschikte waterbak. De bak moet
geschikt zijn voor voedsel, moet bestand
zijn tegen temperaturen tot 100°C en moet
minimaal 200 mm diep zijn.
2. Monteer het circulatietoestel goed op de
waterbak met de verstelbare klem. De klem
kan met de dikte-instelknop worden aangepast
op de dikte van de wand van de bak. Ook de
hoogte van het circulatietoestel kan worden
aangepast op de diepte van de bak, door de
hoogte-instelknop in te drukken.

3. Doe water in de bak.
N.B. als het voedsel erin zit,
moet het waterpeil hoger zijn
dan de MIN-markering en lager
dan de MAX-markering op het
toestel.
4. Sluit het toestel aan op het elektriciteitsnet.
5. Druk op de temperatuurweergaveknop om het
toestel op °C of °F te zetten °C / °F .
N.B. De standaardinstelling
is °C. Nadat °C of °F is
geselecteerd, onthoudt het
toestel deze instelling voor
toekomstig gebruik.
6. Druk op TIME en TEMP
om de werktijd en temperatuur in te stellen.
7. Nadat de tijd en temperatuur zijn ingesteld,
drukt u op om het verwarmingsproces
te starten. Als u op drukt, stopt het
toestel met verwarmen.
8. Wanneer het water de gewenste temperatuur
heeft bereikt, kan het voedsel dat moet worden
gekookt, in de bak worden geplaatst.
N.B. voordat sous-vide wordt
gekookt, moet het voedsel eerst
vacuüm worden verpakt.
9. Wanneer de ingestelde tijd om is, klinkt er
een pieptoon. Druk op om het
verwarmingsproces te stoppen.
N.B. het toestel zal 20
seconden blijven piepen.
Als er verder niets wordt
gedaan door de bediener,
wordt de watertemperatuur
op de ingestelde temperatuur
gehouden.
