On a Windows computer, the new drive will be available in My Computer.
By default it will use the rst available drive letter and will be named SHD-
PE.
With a Mac, the new drive will appear on the desktop.
Format
By default, the MicroStation is formatted with FAT32, allowing it to be used
with OS X, Windows, and Linux operating systems. If you’re going to use
it with programs that generate lesizes larger than 4GB, such as backup
or video editing software, reformat the MicroStation as an NTFS drive
(Windows), a Mac OS Extended drive (Mac), or an XFS drive (Linux).
Backing up the MicroStation’s contents before formatting is recommended.
Backup
Formatting disks will erase all information from your MicroStation. You must
backup all data before proceeding.

Optional Utilities
The MicroStation includes several optional utilities.
The TurboUSB utility improves data transfer speeds for your MicroStation.
Memeo Autosync software is available for synchronizing documents, multimedia les,
and other les from your Windows PC to the MicroStation. A license for using Memeo on
a single PC or workstation is included with your MicroStation. As with all sync programs,
reformat the MicroStation with NTFS before use with Memeo sync software.
Disk Formatter lets you easily reformat your MicroStation.
SecureLockMobile encrypts the data on your MicroStation, preventing the data from
being accessed by anyone but you.

Troubleshooting
FAQ
The following are common issues with the MicroStation. Following each issue are
possible resolutions.
I’ve lost the utilities that were stored on my MicroStation.
You may download the utilities from www.bualotech.com.
I cannot see the MicroStation in My Computer.
Try a dierent USB port.
Verify that the hard drive inside the MicroStation is spinning. This can be veried by
placing your hand on the sides of the case and feeling for a slight vibration. Also, after
the MicroStation has been powered on for fteen minutes or more it will begin to get
warm. If neither of the proceeding tests veried that the hard drive is spinning, then
please contact technical support for further assistance.
My backup program can’t save les to the MicroStation.
Reformat your MicroStation with NTFS, Mac OS Extended, or XFS. FAT32 is limited to 4GB
lesizes.

Unter Windows wird das neue Laufwerk unter„Arbeitsplatz“ angezeigt.
Standardmäßig werden der erste verfügbare Laufwerksbuchstabe und der
Name„SHD-PE“ vergeben. Bei einem Mac wird das neue Laufwerk auf dem
Desktop angezeigt.
Formatierung
Standardmäßig wird die MicroStation mit FAT32 formatiert, so dass das
Laufwerk gleichermaßen unter OS X, Windows und Linux verwendet
werden kann. Bei der Verwendung von Anwendungen, die Dateien
mit einer Dateigröße von mehr als 4 GB erzeugen (z. B. Backup- oder
Videoschnittsoftware), sollten Sie die MicroStation neu formatieren und als
Format NTFS (Windows), Mac OS Extended (Mac) bzw. XFS (Linux) wählen.
Datensicherung
Die Formatierung eines Laufwerks löscht alle Daten von Ihrer MicroStation.
Sie müssen vor der Formatierung alle Daten sichern.

Optionale Dienstprogramme
Die MicroStation umfasst mehrere optionale Dienstprogramme.
Das Dienstprogramm TurboUSB verbessert die Datenübertragungsgeschwindigkeiten
für die MicroStation.
Mit der Software Memeo Autosync können Sie Dokumente, Multimediadateien und
andere Dateien von Ihrem Windows-PC auf der MicroStation synchronisieren. Eine
Lizenz für die Nutzung von Memeo auf einem Einzel-PC oder einer Workstation ist im
Lieferumfang der MicroStation enthalten. Wie andere Programme zur Synchronisierung
kann Memeo erst verwendet werden, nachdem die MicroStation mit NTFS neu
formatiert wurde.
Mit Disk Formatter kann die MicroStation auf einfachem Weg neu formatiert werden.
SecureLockMobile dient der Verschlüsselung Ihrer Daten auf der MicroStation. Der
Zugri auf die Daten wird somit auf Sie beschränkt.

Versuchen Sie einen anderen USB-Anschluss.
Überprüfen Sie, ob die in der MicroStation enthaltene Festplatte rotiert. Sie können dies
feststellen, indem Sie Ihre Hand auf eine der Gehäuseseiten legen. Wenn die Festplatte
rotiert, ist eine leichte Vibration zu spüren. Außerdem erwärmt sich die MicroStation
etwa 15 Minuten nach dem Einschalten. Ist keine Vibration zu spüren und erwärmt

Formatear

Utilidades opcionales

He perdido las utilidades que estaban almacenadas en la MicroStation.
Puede descargar las utilidades de www.bualotech.com.
No veo la MicroStation en Mi PC.
Intente con un puerto USB distinto.
Compruebe que el disco duro en el interior de la MicroStation esté girando.
Para ello, ponga la mano en el lateral de la carcasa y compruebe si percibe
una ligera vibración. Además, 15 minutos después de poner en marcha la
MicroStation, esta se empezará a calentar. Si no puede vericar el giro de la
unidad de disco con ninguna de estas pruebas, póngase en contacto con el
servicio de asistencia técnica.
Mi programa de copia de seguridad no puede guardar archivos en la
MicroStation.
Reformatee la MicroStation con NTFS, Mac OS extendido o XFS. FAT32 está
limitado a tamaños de archivo de 4 GB.
