1 Gebrauchsanweisung für IXON Rock - Akku LED Scheinwerfer mit IQ Lichttechnologie und
Powerbank Funktion
Diese Gebrauchsanweisung richtet sich an Anwender mit Kenntnissen und Erfahrung im Zusammenbau
und der Montage von Fahrrad-Komponenten. Hierzu ist spezielles Werkzeug erforderlich. Falls Sie nicht
wissen, wie Fahrradkomponenten zusammengebaut bzw. montiert werden, oder nicht über geeignetes
Werkzeug hierzu verfügen, wenden Sie sich bitte an einen Fahrradfachmann, um diese Arbeiten
ordnungsgemäß durchführen zu lassen. Werden die Beleuchtungskomponenten unsachgemäß
zusammengebaut oder montiert, kann es zu einem Sturz mit ernsten Verletzungen kommen. Lesen und
beachten Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig und bewahren Sie diese an einem sicheren Ort auf.

3 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Busch + Müller bietet ein unterschiedliches Produktportfolio von Fahrradbeleuchtungen an. Nicht
jede Beleuchtung ist für jede Anwendung und für das Befahren jeder Oberflächenbeschaffenheit
geeignet. Hier gibt es Einschränkungen. Falls Sie nicht sicher sind, welche Art der Fahrrad-
beleuchtung Sie haben, können Sie entweder unsere Service Hotline unter [phone]
anrufen, eine E-Mail Anfrage an s[email protected] senden oder einen Fahrradfachhändler in Ihrer
Nähe um Rat fragen.
ANMERKUNG: Die Fahrradbeleuchtungen von Busch + Müller eignen sich für das Fahren bei
fester Oberflächenbeschaffenheit. Vermeiden Sie extreme Einsätze und fahren Sie niemals
Treppen hinunter. Vollführen Sie keine Sprünge, Stunts, Kunststücke, Hüpfer oder Schussfahrten
im unebenen Gelände.
4 Gesetzliche Bestimmungen
Bevor Sie sich mit Ihrem Fahrrad im öffentlichen Straßenverkehr bewegen, müssen Sie sich mit
den geltenden Gesetzen und Rechtsvorschriften Ihres Landes und Ihrer örtlichen Bestimmungen
vertraut machen und diese jederzeit befolgen. Sie finden diese entweder in der Straßenverkehrs-
ordnung oder – abhängig von Ihrem jeweiligen Wohnsitz - in anderen Quellen.

! Ihre Fahrradbeleuchtung sollte niemals abgedeckt oder verborgen sein. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die
Beleuchtungseinheiten ordnungsgemäß ausgerichtet sind.
Die vorgeschriebene Montagehöhe liegt generell zwischen ca. 400 und 1.200 mm. Nähere Angaben
finden Sie entweder in der Straßenverkehrszulassungsordnung. Gegebenenfalls können Sie sich auch an
einen Fahrradfachhändler in Ihrer Nähe wenden. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass Ihre Beleuchtung so angebracht
und ausgerichtet ist, dass der entgegenkommende Verkehr nicht geblendet wird.

6 Montage
! Der Scheinwerfer ist unbedingt am Lenker anzubringen.
Den beiliegenden Gummiring um den Lenker legen. Feststellschraube und Verschlussknopf abhängig
vom Lenkerdurchmesser wählen und in den Lenkerhalter einschrauben. Den Lenkerhalter mit dem
Verschlussknopf zum Sattel zeigend über den Gummiring setzen. Schenkel unter dem Lenker zusammen
führen und mit der Feststellschraube fixieren.
! Bitte beachten: Der Verschlussknopf kann sowohl als kurze oder lange Variante genutzt werden
(einfach drehen)!
! Den Scheinwerfer in Fahrtrichtung und senkrecht von oben in den Scheinwerferhalter einset-
zen und fest aufdrücken. Er rastet hörbar im Arretierring ein. Unbedingt festen Sitz prüfen. Zum
Abnehmen des Scheinwerfers den Arretierring im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, den Scheinwerfer dabei
festhalten und nach oben abziehen. Für Sturzschäden, z.B. weil der Scheinwerfer beim Lösen
des Arretierrings nicht festgehalten wurde, wird keine Gewährleistung übernommen. Wenn die
Anbausituation am Fahrrad nur erlaubt, dass der Verschlussknopf nicht zum Radfahrer, sondern
von ihm weg weisen muss, ist die Halteraufnahme an der Unterseite des Scheinwerfers mit einem

Schraubendreher zu lösen, um 180° zu drehen und dann wieder zu fixieren.
Der Scheinwerfer kann vertikal und für wenige Grad horizontal geschwenkt werden. In beiden Fällen ist
die Feststellschraube des Halters zu lösen.
Vertikal: Die Neigung des Scheinwerfers wird über die Stellung der Lenkerbefestigung geregelt.
Horizontal: Der Scheinwerfer ist auf dem Gummiring (in begrenztem Umfang) stufenlos nach links oder
rechts schwenkbar.
Montagehöhe nach Vorschrift. In Deutschland liegt diese zwischen 400 und 1.200 mm. Die Beleuchtungs-
komponenten dürfen während der Fahrt niemals verdeckt sein!
Keine Unterlenkermontage: Bei hängender Montage des Scheinwerfers wird das Lichtbild auf den Kopf
gestellt. Der Gegenverkehr wird somit verkehrswidrig geblendet. Außerdem kann es zu Spritzwasserschä-
den kommen, deren Folgen dann von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind.
WARNUNG: Um Stürze, Unfälle und schwere Verletzungen zu vermeiden, verwenden Sie ausschließlich
die vorinstallierte Montagehalterung von Busch + Müller. Werden zur Montage einer Fahrradbeleuchtung
ungeeignete oder nicht ordnungsgemäß platzierte Halterungen verwendet, kann sich der Scheinwerfer
möglicherweise lösen, herunterrutschen und in den Radspeichen verfangen.
ANMERKUNG: Halterungen niemals an Gabeln oder Sattelstützen montieren!
ANMERKUNG: Halterungen niemals an konischen Bauteilen montieren!
Alle Schrauben fest anziehen, damit sich der Scheinwerfer nicht bewegen kann. Dies ist
insbesondere bei der Fahrt in unebenem Gelände wichtig. Der feste Sitz des Scheinwerfers ist
gegeben, wenn die Leuchteinstellung nur schwer regulierbar ist.
WARNUNG: Regulieren Sie den Fahrradscheinwerfer niemals während der Fahrt! Schwere Stürze
und Verletzungen können die Folge sein.
Benutzen Sie das Fahrrad nicht, wenn der Lichtstrahl Ihres Scheinwerfers verstellt oder der
Scheinwerfer zu locker sitzt.
Nehmen Sie die Ausrichtung oder Feststellung des Fahrrad-Scheinwerfers nur vor, wenn das
Fahrrad steht. Das Blenden des Gegenverkehrs kann zu Unfällen führen. Vor Ausrichtung des
Fahrrad-Scheinwerfers, lösen Sie immer die Schraube der Halterung. Achten Sie darauf, diese
Schraube anschließend wieder fest anzuziehen.
WARNUNG: Blicken Sie niemals direkt in den eingeschalteten Fahrrad-Scheinwerfer.

Höhenregulierung des Scheinwerfers
Stellen Sie den Fahrrad-Scheinwerfer so ein, dass entgegenkommende Verkehrsteilnehmer nicht ge-
blendet oder erschreckt werden. Auf einer vollständig ebenen Straßenoberfläche muss die horizontale
Lichtkante stets in der Entfernung sichtbar sein!

7 Laden des Akkus
Der IXON Rock verfügt über einen fest eingebauten Lithium-Ionen-Akku. Vor dem ersten
Gebrauch muss der Akku zunächst geladen werden. Zum Aufladen die rückseitige Kappe am
Scheinwerfer öffnen. Beiliegendes USB-Kabel an die Micro-USB-Buchse des Scheinwerfers
anschließen. Zum Aufladen das USB-Kabel mit dem gegebenenfalls beiliegenden Netzteil, mit
einem anderen USB-Standardnetzteil (max. 1000 mA, 5 V) oder mit einem Computer verbinden.
Während des Ladevorgangs leuchtet die LED am Taster blau.
Wenn die LED erlischt, ist der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen. Während des Ladevorgangs mit
einem Fremdgerät oder Computer blinkt die LED am Taster blau. Ein Überladen ist grundsätzlich
ausgeschlossen, da die Stromzufuhr automatisch abgeschaltet wird. Akku nur bei Temperaturen
über 0°C laden.
Warnung: Als Vorsichtsmaßnahme den Akku während des Ladeprozesses nie unbeaufsichtigt
lassen und auf eine feuerfeste Unterlage legen.
! Bitte beachten: Während des Ladens ist keine Spritz- und Regenwasserdichtigkeit gegeben.
Auch im eingeschalteten Zustand kann der Scheinwerfer geladen werden. Schäden, die durch
beim Laden eindringende Feuchtigkeit entstehen, sind von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen.

Achtung: Auf blendfreie Ausrichtung
des Scheinwerfers achten!

! Tipp zum Schonen des Akkus: Bei längerer Nichtbenutzung den Scheinwerfer möglichst kühl und
trocken sowie mit ca. 30 - 50 % Restkapazität lagern. Wird der Akku auf unter 10% Kapazität entladen
und anschließend wieder voll aufgeladen, kalibriert sich der Akku neu. Eine gelegentliche Kalibrierung
hilft dabei, dass die Restleuchtdauer stets so exakt wie möglich angezeigt wird.
Ladezeiten
Mit Original-Netzteil von Busch + Müller: ca. 3 Stunden
Mit anderen USB-Netzteilen / Mit USB-Anschluss am Computer: bis ca. 5 Stunden
Beim Einsatz fremder Netzteile wird keine Gewährleistung übernommen.
Akkus laden mit Fahr-Energie
Mit dem E-Werk (Typ 361) oder dem USB-Werk (Typ 361BW) von Busch und Müller kann der Strom eines
Nabendynamos genutzt werden, um den IXON Rock während der Fahrt aufzuladen.
8 Bedienung & Anzeige
High-Power: ca. 100 Lux, Leuchtdauer mehr als 2,5 Stunden, gleichbleibend hell
Mid-Power: ca. 50 Lux, Leuchtdauer mehr als 6 Stunden, gleichbleibend hell
Low-Power: ca. 15 Lux, Leuchtdauer etwa 25 Stunden, gleichbleibend hell
Bei geringem Akkustand wird der Leuchtmodus automatisch heruntergeschaltet. Höhere Leuchtmodi
sowie die Powerbank-Funktion sind somit aus Schutz vor Tiefenentladung nicht mehr möglich.

Ein/Ausschalten: Taster 2 Sekunden drücken
Umschalten zwischen High Power / Mid Power / Low Power: Taster kurz drücken.

Die Genauigkeit dieser Anzeige hängt von Ladezustand, Temperatur und Betriebsmodus ab. Bei
ausgeschaltetem Scheinwerfer kann man sich durch kurzen Druck auf den Taster die Akku-Kapa-
zität anzeigen lassen.

Bei geringem Akkustand wird automatisch in einen niedrigeren Leuchtmodus geschaltet. Um den Akku
vor Tiefenentladung zu schützen, sind höhere Leuchtmodi sowie die Powerbank-Funktion nicht mehr
möglich. Beginnt die rote LED am Taster durchgehend zu blinken, wird die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene
Mindestlichtstärke in Kürze unterschritten. Der Akku muss geladen werden! Die Lichtstärke nimmt sonst
kontinuierlich ab.
Warnung: Bis der Scheinwerfer dann endgültig abschaltet, vergeht noch etwa eine Stunde. Dies kann
je nach Außentemperatur auch länger oder kürzer sein, so dass der Scheinwerfer irgendwann abrupt
ausschaltet. Dies kann schwere Stürze und Verletzungen zur Folge haben. Fahren Sie nicht, wenn die rote
LED im Taster durchgehend blinkt.
9 Powerbank-Funktion
Im Powerbank-Modus kann die im Scheinwerferakku gespeicherte Energie genutzt werden, um über ein
mitgeliefertes USB-Kabel andere Mobilgeräte (z.B. Smartphone oder Navigationsgerät) aufzuladen.
Bei vollem Scheinwerferakku stehen etwa 1.500 mAh zur Verfügung. Ohne Leuchtfunktion können bis zu
1,3 A, mit Leuchtfunktion bis zu 0,5 A der Powerbankfunktion zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
Powerbank aktivieren/deaktivieren
Taster 4x kurz mit hoher Frequenz drücken. Die seitlichen Indikator-LEDs sowie LEDs am Taster blinken
als Powerbank-Indikator auf. Bei ausgeschaltetem Licht bleibt die LED am Taster während des
Aktivierens/Deaktivierens der Powerbank aus. Die seitlichen Indikator-LEDs leuchten bei
aktivierter Powerbankfunktion.
Automatische Abschaltung:
a) Wenn 5 Minuten nach Aktivierung kein Verbraucher angeschlossen wurde.
b) Wenn während der Nutzung 5 Sekunden kein Strom mehr fließt.
c) Bei niedrigem Akkustand.
Abschaltung: LED-Anzeige blinkt von der mittleren LED aus 3x nacheinander nach außen.
Bei Unterschreitung eines gewissen Akkustandes schaltet der Scheinwerfer zuerst automatisch
die Powerbank ab, da die Leuchtfunktion Vorrang hat. Danach Wechsel in den Mid-Power- bzw.
Low-Power-Modus.
! Bitte beachten: Wenn ein anderes Kabel als das mitgelieferte Adapter-Kabel (Micro-USB-Ste-
cker auf USB-Buchse) direkt an die Ladebuchse des Scheinwerfers angeschlossen wird, kann es
passieren, dass während der Powerbankfunktion Strom in der entgegengesetzten Richtung fließt
und das Mobilgerät den Scheinwerfer auflädt. Eventuelle Schäden am Scheinwerfer oder Mobil-
gerät, z.B. Tiefentladung des Mobilgerät Akkus, die durch einen solchen Fehlanschluss entstehen,
sind von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen.

! Bitte beachten: Bei Regen und Nässe ist die rückseitige Kappe des Scheinwerfers zu schließen, damit
keine Feuchtigkeit in den Micro-USB-Anschluss eindringen kann. Ein Weiterladen über die Powerbank-
Funktion ist dann nur möglich, wenn der Scheinwerfer vom Lenker abgenommen und zusammen mit dem
zu ladenden Mobilgerät wasserdicht verstaut wird. Schäden am Scheinwerfer oder am Mobilgerät, die
durch eindringende Feuchtigkeit entstehen, oder Schäden am Mobilgerät durch sonstige Ursachen sind
von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen.
Warnung: Scheinwerfer und Verkabelung, insbesondere das Verbindungskabel zwischen elektrischen
Geräten und der Powerbank, müssen am Fahrrad immer so befestigt werden, dass sie weder bei der
Fahrt stören noch eine Gefahrenquelle darstellen. Verfängt sich zum Beispiel ein Kabel oder ein Schein-
werfer in den Speichen, kann dies Verletzungen oder den Tod zur Folge haben.
10 Weitere Anmerkungen
Wird das Fahrrad mit Wasser gereinigt oder beispielsweise auf dem Auto transportiert, muss der Schein-
werfer entfernt werden.
Entsorgung: Elektronische Bauteile gehören nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern müssen als Sondermüll
entsorgt werden!
Achtung: Der Betrieb empfindlicher funkgesteuerter Tachometer kann durch LED-Scheinwerfer gestört
werden.
11 Haftung
Neben den oben genannten Gewährleistungsausschlüssen sind alle sonstigen Schäden, die durch
unsachgemäße Behandlung auftreten (z. B. Herunterfallen des Scheinwerfers, unzureichend
sichere Montage und deren Konsequenzen, Eintauchen in Wasser, Öffnen der rückseitigen
Abdeckkappe bei Regen oder Feuchtigkeit usw.), von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen. Die
Gewährleistung erlischt außerdem, wenn der Scheinwerfer an einer anderen Stelle als der rück-
seitigen Abdeckkappe geöffnet oder demontiert wird.

1 Instruction Manual for IXON Rock - Battery LED headlamp with IQ lighting technology and
Power bank function
These use and installation instructions are intended for users with knowledge and experience in assem-
bling and installing bicycle components. You need to have the suitable tools. If you do not know how
to assemble or install bicycle components or do not have all the necessary tools for the job, you must
consult with a bicycle specialist to have the installation done properly. Otherwise, the bicycle rider may
fall off and be seriously injured due to improper assembly or installation of the light. Read these use and
installation instructions, follow all the steps described and keep them in a safe place.
2 Safety Information
These use and installation instructions use the following signal words to alert you to potential hazards.
The meaning of the signal words is listed below.
WARNING: Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE: Indicates information considered important, but not hazard-related (e.g. information related to
property damage).
The ! symbol is used to provide other useful information about your new bicycle lights.
3 Intended use
Busch + Müller offer different types of bicycle lights. Not every bicycle light can be used for every
application and for riding bicycles on every surface. There are limitations. If you are not sure
what type of bicycle light you have, either call our service hotline at [phone], send an
e-mail to [e-mail] or consult a local specialist bicycle retailer.
NOTICE: Bicycle lights made by Busch + Müller are suitable for use on bicycles that are ridden
on a firm surface. Avoid any extreme use, and never ride down stairs or perform jumps, stunts,
tricks, bunny hops or steep descents on rough terrain.
4 Legal regulations
Before riding your bicycle on public roads, you must learn about and obey all applicable national,
state and local laws and regulations. These may be found in the Highway Code, DMV Handbook
or other sources depending on your state or location. If you are not sure about the applicable
regulations, consult a local bicycle specialist retailer.

! Never cover or conceal bicycle lights. Always make sure the bicycle lights are correctly adjusted. In
general, the prescribed mounting height ranges between about 16” to 48”. For details consult the High-
way Code or DMV Handbook or inquire with a local bicycle specialist retailer. Make sure your lights are
positioned and adjusted in a way to ensure they do not blind oncoming traffic.

6 Assembly!
Make sure that the headlight is mounted to the handlebar.
Place the enclosed rubber ring around the handlebars. Select the locking screw and locking knob to fit
the handlebar diameter and screw them into the handlebar bracket. Place the handlebar bracket over the
rubber ring with the locking knob facing the saddle. Join the brackets under the handlebar and fix them
with the locking screw.
! Please note: The locking knob can be used as a short or long version (simply turn as required)!
! Insert the headlight vertically from above into the headlight bracket and press down firmly.
It audibly engages in the locking ring. Make sure it is firmly seated in place. To remove the
headlight, turn the locking ring clockwise, hold the headlight firmly and pull it upwards. We do
not assume any liability in case of drop damage, e.g. because the headlight was not held in place
while releasing the locking ring. If the assembly situation on the bicycle only allows the locking
knob to point away from the cyclist rather than towards him/her, use a screwdriver to unbolt the
bracket on the underside of the headlight, turn by 180° and then fasten again.

The headlight can pivot vertically and, for a few degrees, also horizontally. In both cases, the locking
screw of the bracket must be loosened.
Vertical: The slant of the headlamp depends on its position on the handlebar.
Horizontal: The headlight is allowed to pivot on the rubber ring (to a limited extent) continuously to the
left or right.
Mounting height according to regulations. In Germany, this ranges between 400 and 1,200 mm.
Lighting components must never be concealed during cycling!
No mounting underneath the handlebar: If the headlight is suspended underneath the handlebar, the
light field is reversed and oncoming traffic blinded which is a violation of traffic regulations. Also, we do
we assume any liability for possible splash water damage likely to occur when the headlight is mounted
underneath the handlebar.
WARNING: Avoid falls, accidents and serious injuries. Use only the pre-installed Busch + Müller bicycle
light mounting brackets. Installing a bicycle light on a bicycle using brackets which are not suitable or
are positioned inappropriately, can lead to the light becoming loose, slipping and getting caught in the
spokes of the wheels.
NOTICE: Never install brackets on the fork legs or seat stays!
NOTICE: Never install a bracket on conical components!
Fasten the mounting bracket in a way to ensure the bicycle light cannot move. This is especially
important when riding on uneven surfaces. Enough tightening is achieved when it is difficult to
adjust the position of the light.
WARNING: Never adjust the bicycle light while riding! Severe falls and injuries may result.
Do not ride the bicycle if the beam issued by your bicycle light is misaligned, or the light is too
loose. Only straighten or fasten the bicycle light when the bicycle is not moving. Dazzling onco-
ming traffic can cause accidents. Prior to adjusting the bicycle light, always loosen the bracket
screw. Afterwards, make sure to securely re-tighten the bracket screw again.
WARNING: Never look into the bicycle light when it is turned on.

Height adjustments of the light
Adjust the bicycle light so that oncoming traffic is not blinded or startled. On a completely even road, the
horizontal light cut-off line must always be visible in the distance!

7 Charging the battery
The IXON Rock has an integral lithium-ion battery that must be charged before first use.
To charge, open the rear cover on the headlight. Connect the enclosed USB cable to the Micro-
USB socket on the headlight. Connect the USB cable to the enclosed power supply unit, to
another standard USB power supply unit (max. 1,000 mA, 5 V) or to a computer.
During the charging process, the LED on the switch shines blue. When the LED light is off, the
charging process is complete. When charging with an alternative device or computer, the LED on
the switch flashes blue.
Overcharging is basically impossible as the power supply is automatically switched off. Ensure to
charge the battery at temperatures above 0°C only.
Warning: As a precaution, never leave the battery unattended during the charging process and
place it on a fireproof surface.
Please note: During the charging process, the headlight is not protected against splash and rain
water. The headlight can also be charged when switched on. We do not assume any liability for
damage likely to be caused by moisture entering the headlight during the charging process.

! How to preserve the battery: When not in use over an extended period of time, store the headlight in a
cool and dry environment as well as with approx. 30 - 50 % residual capacity.
If the battery is discharged to below 10% capacity and then fully charged again, the battery recalibrates
itself. Occasional calibration helps to ensure that the remaining lighting capacity is always displayed as
accurately as possible.
Duration of charging
Original Busch + Müller power supply unit: approx. 3 h
Alternative USB power supply units/USB connection to computer: up to approx. 5 h
We do not assume any liability for damage caused when using alternative power supply units.
Battery charging with energy generated by cycling
With E-WERK (type 361) or USB-WERK (type 361BW) from Busch + Müller, the current of a hub dynamo
can be used to charge the IXON Rock while cycling.

High-Power: abt. 100 Lux, more than 2.5 h run time, consistently bright light
Mid-Power: abt. 50 Lux, more than 6 h run time, consistently bright light
Low-Power: abt. 15 Lux, 25 h approx. run time, consistently bright light
When the battery is low, the light mode is automatically switched off. Higher light modes and the
power bank function are therefore no longer possible for protection against exhaustive discharge.

The accuracy of this display depends on the charge level, temperature and operating mode. When
the headlight is switched off, the battery level can be displayed by briefly pressing the switch.

When the battery is low, the system automatically switches to a lower light mode. To protect the battery
from exhaustive discharge, higher light modes and the power bank function are no longer possible. If
the red LED in the switch starts to flash continuously, the light intensity will soon fall below the legally
prescribed minimum. The battery must be charged! Otherwise, the light intensity drops continuously.
Warning: The headlight will finally switch off after about an hour. This may take longer or shorter depen-
ding on the outside temperature, so that the headlight switches off abruptly at some point. Severe falls
and injuries may result. Do not ride the bicycle, if the red LED in the switch flashes continuously.
9 Power bank function
In the power bank mode, the energy stored in the headlight battery can be used to charge other mobile
devices (e.g. a smartphone or navigation device) via the enclosed USB cable. When the headlight battery
is full and the light function inactive, approximately 1,500 mAh is available.
Up to 1.3 A can be made available with the light function inactive, and up to 0.5 A when the light function
has been activated.
Activate/deactivate power bank
Briefly press switch 4 times at high frequency. The lateral indicator LEDs as wells as the LEDs in the switch
flash as the power bank indicator. When the light is off, the LED in the switch remains off while the power
bank is activated/deactivated. The lateral indicator LEDs light up when the power bank function is activated.
Automatic switch-off:
a) If no appliance is connected 5 minutes after activation.
b) If no current flows for 5 seconds during use.
c) If battery level is low.
Switch-off: LED display flashes outwards 3 times in succession from the central LED. If the
capacity falls below a certain level, the headlight automatically switches off the power bank as a
first step, as the lighting function has priority, and then changes to the Mid-Power or Low-Power
mode.
! Please note: If a cable other than the enclosed adapter cable (micro-USB plug to USB port) is
connected directly to the headlight‘s charging socket, current may flow in the opposite direction
so that the mobile device charges the headlamp. We do not assume any liability for possible
damage to the headlight or mobile device, e.g. exhaustive discharge of the mobile device battery
likely to be caused by such a faulty connection.

! Please note: In the rain or under wet conditions, close the rear cap of the headlight to prevent
moisture from entering the micro USB connector. Further charging via the power bank function is then
only possible if the headlight is removed from the handlebars and stowed in a waterproof environment
together with the mobile device for charging. We do not assume any liability for damage to the headlight
or the mobile device caused by moisture penetration.
Warning: Headlight and wiring, especially the cable to connect electrical devices to the Power bank must
always be fixed to the bike so that they neither impede the ride nor constitute a hazard. If, for example, a
cable or headlight gets into the spokes, there is the risk of injury or death.
10 Further notes
If the bike is cleaned with water or transported, for example, on a car the light must be removed.
Disposal: Electronic parts are no regular waste. They have to be disposed of as special waste!
Please note: The operation of sensitive, radio-controlled odometers may be impaired by LED
headlights.
11 Liability:
In addition to the above-mentioned exclusions of warranty, we do not assume liability for any and
all other damage caused by improper handling (e.g. dropping the headlight, inadequate safety
of mounting and its consequences, submersion in water, opening the rear cover in rain or moist
environments etc.). Neither do we assume any liability if the headlamp is opened or dismantled at
any point other than the rear cover.

3 Emploi conforme à l‘usage prévu
Busch + Müller propose une gamme variée de produits d‘éclairage pour vélos. Tous les
types d‘éclairage ne conviennent pas toujours à chaque application et à la circulation sur
n‘importe quel type de surface. Il existe ici certaines restrictions. Si vous n‘êtes pas sûr du type
d‘éclairage de votre cycle, vous pouvez soit appeler notre service d‘assistance téléphonique au
[phone], soit envoyer une demande par e-mail à [email protected] , ou bien encore
demander conseil à un spécialiste des vélos et cycles dans votre région.
REMARQUE : Les éclairages pour vélos de Busch + Müller sont adaptés à la circulation sur
des surfaces fermes. Évitez les utilisations extrêmes et ne dévalez jamais les escaliers avec le
vélo. N‘effectuez pas des sauts, des cascades, des manœuvres acrobatiques, des bonds ou des
descentes à pic sur un terrain accidenté.
4 Dispositions légales
Avant de circuler avec votre vélo sur la voie publique, vous devez vous familiariser avec les lois et
réglementations en vigueur dans votre pays et votre région et les respecter à tout moment.

6 Montage
! Il faut impérativement installer le phare sur le guidon.
Placer l’anneau caoutchouc joint autour du guidon. Choisir la vis de fixation et le bouton d‘obturation
en fonction du diamètre du guidon et procéder au vissage dans le support de guidon. Placer le support
de guidon sur l‘anneau caoutchouc, le bouton d‘obturation étant dirigé vers la selle. Assembler les pans
sous le guidon et les fixer à l‘aide de la vis de blocage.
! À noter : DeLe bouton d‘obturation peut être utilisé comme version courte ou longue au choix (faire
pivoter, tout simplement) !
! Placer le phare à la verticale, dans le sens de la marche, depuis le haut dans le porte-phare et appuyer
fermement. Il s‘enclenche de façon audible dans l‘anneau de blocage. Vérifier impérativement qu‘il est
fermement en place. Pour enlever le phare, faire tourner l‘anneau de blocage dans le sens des aiguilles
d‘une montre tout en maintenant le phare immobilisé et le retirer ensuite par le haut. Nous n‘assumons
aucune garantie pour les dégâts causés par des chutes, par ex. parce que le phare n‘a pas été maintenu
immobilisé lors du desserrage de l‘anneau de blocage. Si la situation de montage sur le cycle permet
seulement que le bouton d‘obturation soit dirigé non pas dans la direction du cycliste, mais au contraire
dans la direction opposée, il faut desserrer le support de fixation situé sur la face inférieure du phare au
moyen d‘un tournevis, faire pivoter le support de fixation de 180° et le fixer à nouveau ensuite.

Le phare peut être pivoté à la verticale et sur quelques degrés à l‘horizontale. Dans les deux cas, il faut
desserrer la vis de fixation du support.
Verticale : l’inclinaison du phare se règle par le biais du positionnement de la fixation du guidon.
Horizontale : le phare peut être pivoté sur l‘anneau caoutchouc (dans certaines limites), en continu vers
la gauche ou vers la droite.
Hauteur de montage conformément aux prescriptions. En Allemagne, celle-ci varie entre 400 et 1 200 mm.
Les composants d‘éclairage ne doivent jamais être masqués pendant le roulement.
Pas de montage sous le guidon : en cas de montage suspendu du phare, l‘image lumineuse est inversée.
Ceci éblouit les conducteurs arrivant en face, en infraction aux règles de circulation. En plus, des dom-
mages dus aux projections d’eau peuvent survenir, dont les conséquences sont exclues de la prestation
de garantie.
AVERTISSEMENT : Évitez les chutes, les accidents et les blessures graves.
Utilisez exclusivement le support de montage préinstallé phare Busch + Müller appropriés.
Si des supports inadaptés ou placés incorrectement sont utilisés pour effectuer le montage d‘un
éclairage de vélo, le phare risque de se détacher, de glisser vers le bas et de se coincer dans les rayons
des roues.
REMARQUE : Ne jamais monter les supports sur des fourches ou des tubes porte-selle !
REMARQUE : Ne jamais monter les supports sur des éléments coniques !
Bien serrer toutes les vis, pour empêcher que le phare ne bouge. Cela est particulièrement
important lorsque l‘on roule sur terrain accidenté. Le phare est fermement en place lorsqu‘il est
difficile de régler l‘éclairage.
AVERTISSEMENT : Ne réglez jamais le phare de vélo lorsque vous roulez ! Des chutes et blessu-
res graves peuvent en résulter.
N‘utilisez pas le vélo si le faisceau lumineux de votre phare est mal réglé ou si le phare est
desserré.
Réglez l‘orientation du phare ou resserrez sa fixation uniquement lorsque le vélo est à l‘arrêt.
Éblouir le trafic circulant en sens inverse peut causer des accidents. Avant d‘aligner ou d‘orienter
le phare de vélo, vous devez toujours desserrer la vis du support. Veillez à bien resserrer cette
vis par la suite.
AVERTISSEMENT : Ne regardez jamais directement le phare de vélo allumé.

Réglage de la hauteur du phare
Réglez toujours le phare de vélo de manière à ne pas éblouir ou surprendre les autres usagers de la
route qui circulent en sens inverse. Sur une route complètement plane, le bord lumineux horizontal doit
toujours être visible au loin !

7 Charger l‘accu
Le phare IXON Rock dispose d‘un accu au lithium-ions intégré. Avant la première utilisation, il
faut tout d‘abord charger l‘accu. Pour effectuer la recharge, ouvrir le capuchon situé sur l‘arrière
du phare. Raccorder le câble USB ci-joint à la prise micro USB du phare. Pour effectuer la rechar-
ge, relier le câble USB au bloc d‘alimentation également fourni ou bien à un bloc d‘alimentation
USB d‘une autre marque (max. 1000 mA, 5 V), ou bien encore à un ordinateur. Pendant la
recharge, la DEL dans le bouton s’allume en bleu.
Lorsque la DEL s‘éteint, l’opération de charge est terminée. Pendant le processus de charge
avec un appareil tiers ou un ordinateur, la DEL sur le bouton clignote en bleu. Une surcharge est
absolument exclue, car l’alimentation en courant est coupée automatiquement. Recharger l‘accu
uniquement à des températures supérieures à 0°C.
Avertissement : Par mesure de précaution, ne laissez jamais la batterie sans surveillance
pendant le processus de charge et placez-la sur une surface ignifuge.
! À noter : pendant la recharge, l‘étanchéité aux éclaboussures et à l‘eau de pluie n‘est pas
assurée. Le phare peut également être chargé lorsqu‘il est connecté. Les dommages causés par
la pénétration d‘humidité lors de l’opération de recharge sont exclus de la garantie.
