3. Verwendungszweck
Der Multiblock X ermöglicht eine zeit- und
kostensparende Installation von Enthär-
tungs- oder Kalkschutzanlagen. Die ansonsten
notwendige Montage einer Umgehungsleitung mit
damit verbundenem stagnierendem Wasser und den
dazu erforderlichen Armaturen entfällt.
Achtung: Es handelt dabei um eine Wartungs-
absperrung für die Dauer der beaufsichtigten
Wartungs-, Inspektions- oder sonstiger Arbeiten,
nicht um ein Ventil im Sinne eines permanenten
Absperrorgans.
Die Einrichtung der Anlage und wesentliche
Veränderungen dürfen lt. der AVB Wasser V, §12.2
nur durch das Wasserversorgungsunterneh-
men oder ein in ein Installateurverzeichnis eines
Wasserversorgungsunternehmens eingetragenes
Installationsunternehmen erfolgen.
4. Funktion
Mit dem Multiblock X aus Messing kann der
Wasserzufluss zur Enthärtungs- oder Kalkschutz-
anlage unterbrochen werden. Die Wasser-
versorgungwird in diesem Fall durch den integrierten
Bypass aufrechterhalten (siehe Fig. 4), sodass
problemlos z.B. Servicearbeiten durchgeführt
werden können.

5. Einbauvorbedingungen
Örtliche Installationsvorschriften, allgemeine
Richtlinien (z. B: WVU, EVU, VDE, DIN bzw.
ÖNORM, DVGW bzw ÖVGW.), Hygiene-
bedingungen und Technische Daten sind zu
beachten. Der Einbauort muss frostsicher sein. Ein-
baulage bevorzugt waagrecht. Beachten Sie, dass
in Durchflussrichtung VOR der Enthärtungs- oder
Kalkschutzanlage unbedingt ein DIN DVGW/ÖVGW
geprüfter Filter (Filterschärfe 90 μm) installiert wer-
den muss, damit die Leitung frei von funktionsge-
fährdenden Spänen, Hanf und ähnlichen Verschmut-
zungen ist. Ferner ist der Bereich vom Wasserzähler
bis 1 m nach dem Multiblock X korrosionssicher aus-
zuführen. Optimal mit Bestandteilen aus dem
HydroMODUL-Hauswasserverteilersystem, die alle
aus den gleichen korrosionsicheren Werkstoffen
bestehen. Beachten Sie bitte, dass der angege-
bene Nenndruck von 10 bar nicht überschritten
wird. Um das Gerät und die gesamte Hauswasser-
installation nicht unnötig hohen Belastungen
auszusetzen ist es empfehlenswert, bereits ab einem
Versorgungsdruck von 4 bar einen Druckminderer
(DR-Modul bzw. Anschlussmodul DR) vorzuschalten.
6. Einbau
Der Einbau erfolgt in der Kaltwasserleitung
grundsätzlich zwischen vorher zu schließenden
Absperrventilen – zweckmäßig hinter der
Wasserzähleranlage und dem Filter (Fig. 3).
Am einfachsten erfolgt die Montage in eine
HydroMODUL-Verteilerstrecke (Fig. 5).
Der mitgelieferte Einschraubteil und die Anschluss-
verschraubung müssen dabei nicht verwendet wer-
den. Bei konventioneller Montage (Fig. 1) wird ein-
gangsseitig das Einschraubteil und ausgangsseitig die
Anschlussverschraubung in das Leitungssystem einge-
dichtet. Beachten Sie dabei die Durchflussrichtungs-
pfeile. Überprüfen Sie dieAnlage aufordnungsgemäße
Installation von Strom und Wasser (gemäß DIN 1988,
Teil 100). Vor Inbetriebnahme sind alle Anschlüsse und
Rohrleitungsverbindungen nochmals auf Dichtheit zu
überprüfen.
7. Bedienung
Unterbrechen des Betriebes
Das Handrad am Multiblock im Uhrzeigersinn bis zum
unteren Anschlag drehen (Pfeilmarkierung am Hand-
rad: „Z“ für „zu“) – die Zufuhr zum Gerät ist geschlos-
sen, der Multiblock ist in der Betriebsart „Bypass“.
Wiederaufnahme des Betriebes
Das Handrad am Multiblock gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn bis zum oberen Anschlag drehen
(Pfeilmarkierung am Handrad: „A“ für „auf“) – die
Zufuhr zum Gerät ist geöffnet, die Versorgung der wei-
teren Hauswasserinstallation erfolgt über das Gerät.
8. Wartung
Jede technische Anlage bedarf einer regelmäßigen
Wartung. Wir empfehlen eine Überprüfung durch
den BWT Fachmann im Zuge der regelmäßigen
Geräteinspektion.
9. Gewährleistung
Treten während der Gewährleistungsdauer Störun-
gen auf, wenden Sie sich bitte an die Einbaufirma
oder an den BWT-Werkskundendienst.
Qualifiziertes Personal:
Nur Fachpersonal darf das Produkt installieren, in Be-
trieb nehmen und Instand halten. Die Bedienung und
der Gebrauch hat durch unterwiesene Personen zu
erfolgen.
Unterwiesene Person:
Wurde in einer Unterweisung und durch die Informa-
tionen aus dieser Anleitung über die ihr übertragenen
Aufgaben und mögliche Gefahren bei unsachgemä-
ßem Verhalten unterrichtet.
Fachpersonal:
Ist aufgrund seiner fachlichen Ausbildung, Kenntnis-
se und Erfahrung sowie Kenntnis der einschlägigen
Bestimmungen in der Lage das Produkt zu installie-
ren, in Betrieb zu nehmen und Instand zu halten.

3. Purpose
The X multiblock enables the efficient and low-cost
installation of softeners or limescale protection sys-
tems, eliminating the need to fit the usually essential
bypass pipe with the attendant stagnant water and
appropriate fittings.
Note: This is a maintenance shut-off while super-
vised servicing, inspection or other work is carried
out, and does not involve the permanent shutting-
off of a valve.
The installation of the system and the required mo-
difications should only be carried out by the water
utility or an installation company registered in the
water utility’s directory of installers, in accordance
with the AVB Wasser V (General Insurance Terms),
§12.2.
4. Function
The water inlet to the softening or limescale protec-
tion system can be interrupted with the brass X mult-
iblock. In this case, the water supply is maintained
by the integrated bypass (see fig. 4) so that mainte-
nance work, for example, can be carried out.

5. Installation prerequisites
Local installation instructions, general guidelines
(e.g. WVU, EVU, VDE, DIN or ÖNORM, DVGW or
ÖVGW.), hygiene conditions and technical data
must be observed. The installation area must be
frost-proof and preferably horizontal. Note that a
DIN DVGW / ÖVGW tested filter (filter depth 90 μm)
must be installed upstream of the softening or limes-
cale protection system so that the pipework is free
from hazardous chips, hemp or similar contaminants.
In addition, the section from the water meter to 1m
downstream of the multiblock X must be fully pro-
tected against corrosion using components of the
HydroMODUL domestic water distribution system,
all manufactured from the same corrosion-resistant
materials. Please ensure that the specified nominal
10 bar pressure is not exceeded. We recommend
connecting a pressure reducer (DR module or DR
connection module) from a minimum supply pres-
sure of 4 bar to avoid an excessively high load on
both the equipment and the entire domestic water
installation.
6. Installation
Basically, installation is carried out in the cold water
pipe between the shut-off valves (which must be
closed prior to installation), and ideally behind the
water metering system and filter (fig. 3). The easiest
way to install it is on a HydroMODUL distribution rou-
te (fig. 5), in which case the supplied screw-in part
and connection screw must not be used.
In a conventional installation (fig. 1) the screw-in part
is mounted on the input side and the connection
screw on the output side of the pipework. Note the
flow direction arrows here. Check that the system
has the correct electricity and water installation (in
accordance with DIN 1988, part 100). All connections
and pipework links must be re-examined for leaks
prior to commissioning.
7. Operation
To interrupt the operation
Turn the handwheel on the multiblock clockwise to
the lower stop (arrow mark on the handwheel: “Z”
for “closed”) – the supply to the device is shut off,
the multiblock is in the “bypass” operating mode.
To resume the operation
Turn the handwheel on the multiblock anticlock-
wise to the upper stop (see the arrow mark on the
handwheel: “A” for open). The water supply is then
activated and the equipment supplies the rest of the
domestic water system.
8. Maintenance
Each technical installation requires regular mainte-
nance. We recommend the system is tested by a
BWT professional during routine inspections of the
equipment.
9. Warranty
Please contact your installer or the BWT Service
Centre if any faults occur during the warranty period.
Qualified staff:
The product may only be installed, commissioned
and serviced by skilled personnel. Only trained
persons are allowed to operate and use it.
Trained person:
Has received instruction and studied the informa-
tion in this document concerning the tasks entrus-
ted to him/her, and the possible risks in the event
of inappropriate behaviour.
Skilled personnel:
Based on the professional training received, know-
ledge and experience, and knowledge of the rele-
vant definitions, is qualified to install the product,
to commission and to service it.
