General Information
European Standards: The regulations (Laws) of European countries define
uniform technical standards which have to be complied with by all child restraint
systems (child car seats) and all of these must be tested and approved under
the specific regulation. In this case, your Caboost Car Seat has been approved
under UN Regulation ECE R44.04, for children falling into Group lll
(mass range of 22-36Kg) or up to a height of 135cm (typically children aged
6-12 years).
The approval mark (E) and authorisation no. (below the E mark) are to be found
on the Caboost Car Seat and must not be removed.
Your Caboost Car Seat may only be used in cars equipped with adult three
point safety belts approved according to UN ECE Regulation No. 16 or the
equivalent 77/541/EEC Regulation concerning the adult safety belts as amended.
Adult safety belts must be fastened only into points dedicated for their fastening
clips to be located, i.e. in anchoring points which meet the requirements of the
UN ECE Regulation No. 14 or the 76/115/EEC Regulation on the anchoring points
for adult safety belts as amended.
NOTICE
This is a “Universal” child restraint. It is approved to regulation No.44, 04 series
of amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will fit most, but not all, car
seats.
A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle
handbook that the vehicle is capable of accepting a “Universal” child restraint
for this age group.
This child restraint has been classified as “Universal” under more stringent
conditions than those which applied to earlier designs which do not carry this
notice.
If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or the retailer.
