1. INTRODUCTION
This manual contains all the necessary information on the installation and operation of the fork-
mounted crane jib. Some of the maintenance operations should only be carried out by professional
technicians.
If you require this information and the maintenance steps, please contact your dealer.
Also included in this manual are a number of safety instructions to create a safe working environment.
A crane jib allows you to lift loads that are not possible to lift with the forks of your forklift, such as
pallets or loads with unconventional dimensions. Crane jibs are commonly used in the construction
industry.
These fork-mounted crane jibs are mounted onto the forks of the lift truck.
Check your machine manual to make sure you opt for the right crane jib with the correct load capacity.
Do not use this product for any other purposes.
Please read the manual thoroughly and observe the safety procedures before putting the unit into
operation. The operator and all persons who come into contact with the equipment should read it
carefully and regularly and have access to it at all times.
Keep this manual near the equipment and in a safe place for future reference!
Contact your dealer for any further questions or concerns you may have.
We guarantee a long period of trouble free operation if the unit is operated and maintained correctly.
We hope you will enjoy working with your fork-mounted crane jib.
This fork-mounted crane jib may be unsafe if adequate maintenance is neglected. Therefore,
adequate maintenance facilities, trained personnel and procedures should be provided.
Maintenance and inspection shall be performed conform with the following practices:
1. A scheduled planned maintenance, lubrication and inspection system should be followed.
(See maintenance instructions chapter 8)
2. Only qualified and authorised personnel shall be permitted to maintain, repair, adjust and
inspect the fork-mounted crane jib.
3. Modifications and additions which affect capacity and safe operation shall not be
performed by the customer or user without the manufacturer’s prior written approval.
Capacity, operation and maintenance plates or decals shall be changed accordingly.
4. If modifications are made without the written approval of the manufacturer, the warranty
will no longer apply.
Any person in charge of putting the machine into operation, the operation itself or the
maintenance of the machine is urged to carefully read and observe the following instructions.
Make sure that the operators of this product are familiar with the safety instructions and follow

the inspection and can be dangerous for your own safety.
• Take account of the residual capacities of the assembly of the forklift with the fork-mounted
crane jib.
2. Lifting the load
1. Make sure the forklift is parked and braked before you raise or lower the
crane jib.
2. Lift the crane jib straight up or tilt the mast slightly backwards.
Consult the manual/instructions on operating a forklift for more detailed information.
3. Driving with the load
Never drive faster than a maximum speed of 5 km/h (3.1 mph) when there is a load on the hook.
Keep the forks in the lowest possible position.
4. Removing the load
Make sure that the load is completely on the ground and stable before opening the load hook and
removing the load.

8.3. Maintenance instructions
1. Daily maintenance check
A daily check of the fork-mounted crane jib can limit wear to a minimum:
• Make sure that the instruction manual is complete, legible and available for reference.
• Check the entire machine for damage, corrosion or cracks in structural components before each
use.
Can be done by the user.
2. Check the locking pins
Please check regularly and at least before every use if the locking pins of the locks have been firmly
tightened.
Can be done by the user.

3. Cleaning
Only clean the equipment with a cloth dampened in a soap solution (REF 131TA5500)* or TotalSource
wipes (REF 147TA3378). Do not use solvents, petrol, strong detergents etc.
If the equipment is heavily soiled, the use of a pressure cleaner is only permitted providing that it is set
to a maximum of 200 bar.
When you use a high-pressure cleaner, do not direct the jet onto the bearings and seals, otherwise the
grease will be washed out and the lifespan of the machine will be shortened.
Never use sandpaper or abrasive material on the crane jib.
Can be done by the user.
* Soap solution must be diluted 5 to 10%. Use the soap solution to wash off the dirt and wipe
off the soap residue with a cloth dipped in clean water.
