WORDS AND WARNING SIGNS
This manual contains words and warning signs to identify and warn
about the different risks. Be sure to follow the instructions and use
the chair safely. The meanings of the different warning words are
described below:

These signs will appear throughout the manual to warn of
dangerous situations.
WARRANTY
The Camobil warranty covers the good condition and operation of
your wheelchair. The warranty covers all defects that are proven to
result from incorrect manufacture or poor quality of materials.
This warranty does not cover the consequences of normal wear,
incorrect use or damage, as well as lack of maintenance or poor
assembly.
The guarantee will be canceled when modifications not approved
by Camobil have been made to the wheelchair or inappropriate
spare parts are used. The warranty is valid for 24 months.

SECURITY AND STABILITY
It is the responsibility of the user to select the wheelchair that best
suits the needs, as well as the adjustment of the same. The
wheelchair chosen and its adjustment has direct impact on stability.
Factors that have a direct impact on stability and safety
1) Skills and abilities of the user.
2) Hazards and obstacles that can interact with the wheelchair and
its user.
3) the specific dimensions and configuration.
ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES
IMPORTANT
Do not exceed the allowed weight limit of the wheelchair: This is the
combined weight of the user and all the objects that he/she carry.
Exceeding the weight limit can damage the chair or increase the likelihood
of a fall or rollover causing serious injury or death to the user or to others.
IMPORTANT
Tires: Make sure that the tires have the correct pressure indicated on the
sidewall of the tire. The use of the wheelchair without properly inflated
tires can have a negative effect on the stability of the wheelchair causing it
to tip over resulting in death or injury to the user or to other people.
Check the tire pressure before use the wheelchair.

IMPORTANT
Ramps: Do not try to push the wheelchair up or down on ramps with a
slope of more than 9 degrees. The wheelchair could tip over and cause
serious injury or death to the user or to others.
IMPORTANT
Ice, oil or water surfaces: Do not try to push your wheelchair on surfaces
with ice, oil or water. This can cause an unstable situation causing death or
injury to the user or to other people.
IMPORTANT
Wheelchair stability: Do not lean over the side, back or rear of the
wheelchair. This varies the center of gravity and could tip the wheelchair
causing injury or death.
IMPORTANT
Wheelchair lifting: Do not attempt to lift the wheelchair holding
removable parts such as brakes, footrest or side guard. This can cause a
fall or loss of control and cause serious injury or death. It could also cause
irreversible damage to the detachable parts. Just lift the chair by grabbing
the chassis.
IMPORTANT
Screws: Do not over tighten the screws that connect the components. This
could cause serious damage and affect the safety and durability of the
wheelchair.
SECURITY
IMPORTANT
Wheelchair adjustment: Accidents with serious injuries can occur if the
wheelchair is not adjusted correctly.
IMPORTANT
Risks due to inadequate driving style: Always adjust the speed and driving
style of the environment (weather conditions, surface type, individual
ability, etc.). There is a risk that the wheelchair may slip or tip over in wet,
gravel or uneven terrain.
IMPORTANT
Risk of injury: In the event of a collision, injuries to parts of the body
protruding from the wheelchair (for example, feet, arms or hands) may
occur. Drive carefully through narrow spaces.

IMPORTANT
Risks resulting from a wheelchair driven at high speeds: At high speeds,
you could lose control of the wheelchair and overturn. Never exceed a
speed of 5 km / h.
IMPORTANT
Risk of burns: When carrying metal components, the components of the
wheelchair can become hot when exposed to external sources of heat such
as the sun:
- Do not expose the wheelchair to direct sun.
- Before use, check the temperature of all the components that are in
contact with the skin.
DRIVING WITH THE CHAIR
IMPORTANT
Risk of falling: The wheels of the wheelchair could get stuck in curbs or
grooves in the floor. Make sure that the front wheels are suitable for the
surface on which you are going to use the wheelchair.
IMPORTANT
Risk of finger entrapment: there may be a small space between the rear
wheel and the wardrobe, which poses a risk of finger entrapment. Be sure
to push the wheelchair only with the propulsion rings.
IMPORTANT
Driving on rough terrain: Try not to drive the chair in sand, loose dirt or on
rough terrain. This can cause a loss of stability and capsize causing serious
injury or death.
IMPORTANT
Driving on rough terrain: Obstacles and road hazards (such as potholes
and broken pavement) can damage your chair and can cause a fall,
rollover or loss of control resulting in serious injury or death.
BRAKING DURING DRIVING
WARNING
Danger of falling due to sudden braking: If the wheelchair is driven
suddenly during driving, it could cause loss of control and stability. Never
operate the parking brakes abruptly while driving.
IMPORTANT
Risk of hand burns: Propulsion rings may heat up if you brake for a long
time and you may suffer burns on the palms of your hands.

GET ON / OFF THE WHEELCHAIR
CAUTION
Get on/ off the Wheelchair: When making transfers there is a risk of
falling. Get on/ off the wheelchair without help, only if you are in physical
condition to do so.
CAUTION
Weight on footrest: The wheelchair can tip forward when putting weight
on the footrest. Never stand on the footrest when get on/off the
wheelchair.
IMPORTANT
Brakes: If the brakes are released or broken, they may stop working
properly. Never lean on the brakes when get on/off the wheelchair.
IMPORTANT
Side Guard: Never sit on the sideguard when get on/off the wheelchair,
the wardrobe could break. Do not manipulate the wheelchair by grabbing
the wardrobe.
DRIVING IN RAMPS
CONDUCTION OF RAMPS AND PENDANTS
UPWARDS
Tilt the torso forward and push the wheelchair pushing the two thrust
handrim quickly and forcefully.
DOWNWARDS
Let the handrim slip through your hands carefully. You should be able to
stop the wheelchair at any time by stopping the handrim.
CAUTION
Risk of hand burns: Propulsion rings may heat up if you brake for a long
time and you may suffer burns on the palms of your hands.

CONFIGURATION AND USE
CAUTION
Not read these instructions may result in damage to your wheelchair, a fall
or loss of control, and severe injury to the user or others.
Standard brakes
1. To apply the brake, pull the
brake lever forward until it
stops.
2. To release the brake, pull
the brake lever backwards.
Assembly and disassembly of rear wheel
All Camobil wheelchairs come equipped with quick release (quick release).
To remove the wheel, simply press the center button on the axle and
remove the wheel. When pressing the button the two axle pivots are
removed to be able to disassemble the wheel.

Adjustable backrest angle
The wheelchair has an adjustable backrest at ± 10 °. To adjust the angle of
the backrest, remove the bolt, adjust it to the desired angle and insert the
bolt into the hole of the desired angle. Depending on the position of the
screw, the backrest can be adjusted to -10 °. -5 °, 0 °, 5 ° and 10 °.
The holes correspond to the following angles:
Upholstery tension adjustment (seat and backrest)
The adjustment of the backrest is made by detaching the Velcro, adjusting
the desired tension and repositioning the Velcro.

IMPORTANT
Danger of overturning
If the straps are too loose, the chair can tip more easily. Make sure the
bands are positioned correctly
IMPORTANT
Do not pull too hard on the straps to avoid changing the geometry of the
wheelchair.
Sideguard
Height adjustment
The carbon fiber sideguard has holes for adjusting the height according to
the position of the wheel with respect to the chassis of the chair.

Front fork
The angle of the front fork is adjustable between 0 ° and 10.4 °.
Fork angle adjustment: The angle of the fork is adjusted using the
eccentric screws on the fork. In the following graphs they represent the
position of the eccentric screws for the different angles:

Wheelchair folding
To fold the wheelchair, take the two bars of the seat and push towards the
center and up on the two seat tubes. See below drawing.
Tires
Proper tire pressure is important for stability and minimal tire wear. The
following table shows the recommended pressure:

Checking the correct position of the rear wheels
1. Pull the rear wheel to check the position of the quick-release shaft. The
wheel should not be able to be removed.
2. If the rear wheels do not fit properly, remove any dirt embedded in the
quick release pivots.
Cleaning the front wheels
1. Check if the front wheels can rotate freely.
2. Remove dirt from the front wheel bearings.
Checking the threaded connections
The screws can be loosened by continuous use.
1. Check if all screws are securely fastened
2. Tighten all M 6 metric bolts with torque 6-7 Nm.
CAUTION
The safety screws lose their effect by loosening and tightening them
repeatedly. Replace the nuts if you have tightened and loosened them
repeatedly.
Checking the parking brakes
1. Check that the brakes are correctly positioned. The brake is well
adjusted if the brake shoe penetrates a few millimeters into the tires.
2. If you determine that this is not fulfilled, adjust the brake position, so
that when the brake is applied, the brake shoe penetrates a few
millimeters into the tires.

IMPORTANT
Sand and seawater can damage ball bearings and steel parts can rust if the
surface is damaged. Do not expose the wheelchair to sand and sea water.

Do not rub with abrasive agents, do not use aggressive cleaning agents or
high-pressure cleaners.
