SAFETY:
Read the operating instructions carefully before using the
device. Keep the instructions in a safe place afterwards so
that you can access them whenever required.
Suitable for use by children from the age of 8. Younger
children and people with impaired physical, sensory and/or
mental capacities should be supervised or given instructions
on how to handle the equipment safely.
The device must not be given to children as it is not a toy.
Cleaning and maintenance of the device should only be
done by an adult.

The symbol with the crossed out waste bin means that the
device is categorised as eligible for selective waste collection.
The device must be properly disposed of at the end of its
service life. The device must not be disposed of together with
unsorted domestic waste.
Selective waste collection promotes the reuse, recycling or
some other exploitation of the recyclable materials contained
in the waste.
The device should be deposited at a specially designated
waste recycling centre (waste management centre). For
any further questions on this subject, please contact your
local authority directly for information.
Do not dump in the natural environment and do not burn:
certain hazardous substances in the electrical components
can be damaging to the environment and may be detrimental
to human health.

Introduction
The Barbecue Thermometer(subsequently
referred to as Campingaz® barbecue thermometer) is a
Bluetooth thermometer for cooking and barbecuing indoors
or outside.

1 Campingaz barbecue thermometer device
Simply insert the measurement sensors into the food you
wish to monitor and the free app will provide you with
information about the time or temperature development of

your food item. The Campingaz barbecue thermometer
makes food preparation more straightforward and convenient.

Product description
1) °C &°F toggle switch
NOTE:
Press briefly to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Switching between °C &°F can ONLY be done on the
device itself.

NOTE:
®
Turn the Campingaz barbecue thermometer device
on and off by holding down the power button for 3
seconds. You will hear a beep and see the Bluetooth
®
signal flashing. This means that your Campingaz
barbecue thermometer is not yet connected with the
app.
3) OFFalarm button
NOTE:
The device emits a series of beeps and the temperature
indicators flash when the target temperature is reached.
Press briefly to turn off the alarm.

Quick start installation
®
Download the Campingaz Grill-Thermometer app
from the App Store or from the Google Play Store, then install
the app.

2) Insert 3 AA batteries into the

Campingaz barbecue thermometer
(not included in the delivery).
NOTE:
®
A beep from the Campingaz barbecue thermometer device
means that the batteries have been inserted correctly and the
device has automatically turned itself on.
3) Insert the measurement
sensors into the sensor sockets.
®
4) Start the Campingaz Grill-Thermometer app and
switch on Bluetooth functionality on your mobile phone.
®
Establish a connection with the Campingaz barbecue
thermometer device.
®
5) In the Campingaz Grill-Thermometer app choose
from multiple preconfigured temperatures or enter the
target temperature yourself.
6) Insert the sensors into the thickest part of the meat,
avoiding contact with the bones.
NOTE:
Insert the sensor at least 3 cm deep.
Do not place the sensor directly over the flames or near to
the barbecue for an extended period.

Download the app called Campingaz Grill-Thermometer
from the App Store or Google Play Store, then install the app.
NOTE:
®
A symbol (Campingaz Grill-Thermometer) appears on
your device after the app has been installed.
The following display appears when you open the

Campingaz Grill-Thermometer app.
Tap the symbol Home screen
Press the key to enter test mode.
You can verify and test all the app functions but you won't
receive any real temperature values.
Press to exit test mode.

Connection
Insert the sensors into the sockets for the sensors
&turn on the device:the Bluetooth signal flashes.

Launch the Campingaz Grill-Thermometer app
and tap the key to search for the device.
The display shown below will appear when the app has
searched for the device.

Tap on the name “Campingaz barbecue thermometer”
to link the app and the device:
The Bluetooth signal on the device stops blinking
once the connection has been established. The app
switches automatically to the home screen.

2) If only one sensor is correctly inserted into the sensor
sockets, just one temperature value P1 or P2 will be shown
as follows:

1) When two sensors are correctly inserted into the sensor
sockets two temperature values will be displayed,
as shown here:

3) If neither sensor is correctly inserted into the sensor
sockets, the following warning is displayed:
4) Click to cancel the connection. The device emits
a beep. The app switches back to the home screen.

Temperature alarm setting
1) Tap on the current temperature value to configure
a temperature alarm;

Customisation
1) If the desired foodstuff does not appear on the list, tap
on the in the top right corner to add your foodstuff.
You can give the newly added foodstuff its own name, to
do this tap on: name of my dish.
2) If you tap on the grey temperature a numeric keypad
will appear below. The temperature goes black after you
have entered it.

Tap on "Timer" to bring up the timer editing function.
1)Tap in the top left corner to add a timer.
2) Swipe with your finger around the outside of the clock,
the cooking time will appear in the centre of the clock.

The beep sounds for the timer or temperature can be selected
independently.To do this, tap below on settings.
Tap on Timer Alarm to select the beep sound. There are three
different options. Select the desired sound and then tap .

Troubleshooting
®
1) Problem connecting the Campingaz barbecue
thermometer device with the app.
1) Turn off Bluetooth on your mobile phone.
2) Turn off your mobile phone.
3) Turn on your mobile phone &Bluetooth again.
4) To improve the strength of the Bluetooth signal,
insert 3 new batteries in your device.

5) Start the Campingaz Grill-Thermometer app
to connect.
2) Problem in receiving the alarm while the
®
Campingaz Grill-Thermometer functionality
is maintained.
1) Although the app can run/synchronise in the background
with the Apple IOS system/Android system, the Bluetooth
connection is not always active.
To keep the app active while it is running in the background,
tap on the home screen for the app or start up the app again
when you are making a phone call or using other apps. You
can monitor your food while you are talking or playing games.

Information
The sensor is sharp, please take care when using.
The sensor should also be kept away from children after
use. This device should not be used by children or by
persons with a lack of experience or knowledge unless
they are being supervised or under instruction.
Switch the device off after use to save energy. Please
remove the batteries from the device if it is not being
used for an extended period.
Please use a damp cloth to clean the sensors and a dry
cloth to dry them. The sensors should be stored in a dry
location.
Please dispose of used batteries in the proper manner.
